All - This property is simply breathtaking and it’s right in the middle of the historic district of Charleston. Walking distance to great hotels and bars. Pics on here don’t do it justice! Charleston Place Hotel recommended this venue to us (it’s located very close to their hotel for our guests) and we fell just in love with this venue from the moment we toured it. We are excited to announce and cannot wait to have our wedding here in Spring 2026!! This just opened a few months ago after a big renovation so everything is new and nice. There’s enough room for the ceremony outside, post cocktail hour in the pavilion, seated dinner inside on one side and then a grand reception party in the other ballroom. John and I are so excited to have our wedding here. We also like the option to select our own suppliers, planner, caterers and bars with no minimums like others have. Located in the heart of historic downtown Charleston you are no more than a couple blocks from Broad, King, and Market Street. As soon you approach Twenty-One Magazine you are entranced by its architecture and unique style that stands out in its quaint neighborhood. The property and buildings were recently renovated to exceed local and national historic preservation standards… and it shows. No stone went unturned during its renovation. The grounds, onsite ceremony space, and beautiful landscaping makes one feel like they’re living in a historic Charleston fairytale. I cannot thank Erica, the venue manager, enough! Her local knowledge , expertise, and experience has made our planning process a breeze. We cannot wait to host our wedding at Twenty One Magazine this winter!

I coordinated a corporate event for my company at this venue, and it was nothing less than spectacular! When I was told this used to be the Old Charleston Jail, I was shocked. Tour...

ing the property, you would have never guessed it. The renovation has been so well done, it reminds me more of a castle than a jail. I loved the openness of the indoor event space because it gives you so much room to be creative. The outdoor space was perfect as well for our oyster roast, and the string lights really added to the charm of the venue. The bathrooms were gorgeous as well. This is a very charming and unique venue that is truly perfect for any kind of event. It is definitely going to be the next wedding venue hot spot for Charleston!

ique charm and character that no other historic venue has in charleston. It’s very elegant and sophisticated. The whole space inside and out is perfect for any wedding. This place can easily accommodate large and small. I cannot wait to attend our next wedding here. My daughter was married a few years ago and I wish this venue was opened then.
