Mike was absolutely fantastic! He charges fair rates, has an absurdly quick turnaround, and is so much fun to work with. As a plus size bride I was worried that I would end up with a photographer that only knew how to take flattering pictures of smaller typed people, but this was not a problem I had to even mention to him because I could see in his work with previous brides that he knew how to capture people no matter what the size or frame. The photos are stunning and we already have a handful covering our walls! We look forward to doing more shoots with our 10 year old and family portraits with him. As my husband likes to put it "Mike makes taking pictures fun and easy, even for people who hate getting their pictures taken."

We had such a wonderful experience with Mike! He was so fun, communicative, and enthusiastic about our ideas. He shot absolutely gorgeous photos of our wedding - he completely captured both the look and vibe of the day. He really excels in catching special little moments throughout the event, and he made us and our guests feel very at ease. Plus, his turn-around time was lightning fast!

Mike was so wonderful!!!! We took our engagement shots at CanCan Wonderland and had so much fun there with Mike. It was just as though he went on a date with us. Our wedding was postponed this summer, but we had a small ceremony outside. Because Mike couldn't shoot the big wedding next year, he came to the small ceremony and took the best shots I've ever seen of the two of us. He is so flexible and wonderful to work with. I highly suggest using him.

Mike is amazing. I could go on all day about how wonderful he is but instead, I will highlight a few things that I think put him above his competitors. Mike has a personality of gold and because of this, he is someone you automatically gravitate towards. He can get along with just about anyone. We have a 5 year old son that LOVED him from the very first time we met. This made taking photos 100% easier and more enjoyable. Mike is like your own personal hype man. He is constantly encouraging you, telling you how great you look and SHOWING you the photos as he goes. We found this extremely helpful because we're not used to getting our photos taken and had no idea what we were doing. He made everyone feel so comfortable. Lastly, Mike is flexible and thinks on his feet. We had storms right before the wedding and had to move our photos inside. He has the talent and equipment to make this happen beautifully. We continue to get outstanding compliments on our photos from friends and family. We are beyond happy with Mike and his work. We will recommend him for life!

Mike is seriously the best! His work is AMAZING, he makes you feel so comfortable, and is so flexible. (Especially when the Minnesota weather doesn’t cooperate, and you have to move your outdoor pictures, indoors) He was super easy to get ahold of and was down for giving us crazy ideas, as well as going with the flow of ours! He was awesome with my kids, everyone at our wedding couldn’t stop raving about it! Our pictures turned about so amazing, I cannot thank him enough!!

WOW! Working with Mike was so delightful! From the engagement shoot to the wedding itself Mike was invested in us and in our experience - PLUS it really felt like he got us and so could do so incredibly well at capturing our love story! Each time we worked with him we had FUN and even as two people who are awkward in front of the camera, he got so many great shots!! We truly couldn't be happier with how Mike captured our wedding day - we got the personality of ourselves and our guests in EVERY photo, and was SO FUN to have around he almost felt like another wedding guest who was really celebrating WITH us! We've been in contact with Mike for a few months as we've been planning our wedding. Due to the timing of some things on our end, we weren't able to book with him. This morning, he sent me referrals of other photographers in the area that he recommends. He didn't have to do that, but he reached out to a Facebook group of photographers to try and help us out and vetted the responses! Mike has gone above and beyond all the while we've been in contact. (I had a lot of questions in the beginning, and he was patient with me and answered every one of them.) We will be working with Twin Birch Studios in the future as soon as we're in need of more photography services. Of course I'm a little sad that we're not able to have him as part of our wedding, but I think it's better that he got the date booked than to possibly not have booked at all. That couple is very lucky and smart to have him for their special day. :)

We had a great experience working with Mike for our Wedding and Engagement photos! For our engagement shoot, Mike was game for whatever we wanted to try (like sneaking back into our first date spot for a couple shots) and spent the whole evening with us, not making us feel rushed or pressured. During our wedding day, he did a great job capturing both the must-have family photos and fun candids and dance shots, all while maintaining a really happy and positive attitude. Mike was flexible and reliable throughout our time working with him, always responsive and open to questions or a call. We were also very pleased with the amount of both Mike and Chris’ (Mike’s second shooter) time they dedicated to us, as well as the total number of photos we received for the cost, and felt like we got a great value without sacrificing quality. Photos were also edited and sent out super quickly - which was a definite bonus!

First of all — Mike is a great photographer. Our photos were amazing, and we loved how he captured the classic "here, pose with your families" photos, but also the real moments that showed how great the day was for us. He helped us capture our day for a lifetime. Second of all — Mike is a cool dude. He was fun to be around and super personable. He helped everyone feel comfortable (and smile!) while taking photos. He also wasn't afraid to get outside of the box. If we ever need professional photography again and still live in Minnesota, I'm 100 percent seeing if Mike is available.

Mike was an absolute pleasure to work with! My fiancé is from Minnesota, but we currently live in Michigan. We wanted to do engagement photos in MN while visiting on vacation. Mike was easy to reach and very responsive when booking. Once we were at the shoot, he was fun, creative and passionate. He made us laugh the whole time, which made our photos so much better because we weren’t faking smiles. Best of all, he turned the photos around so quickly! I cannot even begin to describe how happy my husband and I were with the work Mike did for our wedding. He is very passionate about his photography, which is clear through the enthusiasm he brings to the wedding day and the pictures he takes. As my husband and I looked through the photos, we were floored! While admiring all the beautiful pictures, we said to each other, "I remember this moment! What a great time," rather than, "I remember when Mike posed us for this picture." Don't get me wrong, Mike took beautiful portraits and posed us for some really wonderful photos with our family, bridal party, and friends as we had requested him to do so. But his candid photos were easily some of our favorites. Mike and his second photographer, Chris, were able to capture so many of our favorite memories from the wedding without making my husband and I feel like we were being followed by two men with a camera all day. I especially recommend Twin Birch Studios if you have children and babies attending the wedding. He captured so many beautiful photos of our little nieces, my cousin's children, and some of our friend's babies. He is great with kids! Overall, we are very happy with Mike and his team. I promise you won't be disappointed if you choose to hire him!

My husband and I are very different in everyday and Mike was able to capture that in our special day. Mike was already booked for the date of my wedding when I reached out, but even though he wasn't available he couldn't have been more helpful! He was very quick to respond and he shared a very detailed list of photographers that he recommended that he knew were similar to the style I was looking for and within my budget. He saved me an enormous amount of time and gave me peace of mind that I could still find someone amazing to photograph my wedding. After our messages back and forth it was even more disappointing that I could have him photograph my wedding because he's amazing! Do yourself a favor and book him ASAP!

My friend introduced us to Twin Birch Studios and it ended up working out really well! We live in another state but Mike was always easy to get ahold of and work with. He and his second photographer, Frank, did a great job at our wedding. I feel we got all the shots we wanted without feeling like our space was invaded. Mike has creative ideas for pics but will also take requests if there's something you're after. Mike did a phenomenal job, we're so pleased with our pictures!!

He was awesome. His photos are amazing. My whole family raved about him. He was always around and getting candids, but not interrupting or a hinderance. The kicker is that he also happens to be a great value. Definitely recommend!

My favorite thing about our engagement photos is that the first thing out of everyone’s mouth is “oh that is SO YOU.” Mike totally captured the elements of our relationship despite it being cold and rainy out. He was willing to work with our flimsy $10 umbrellas and they ended up being the highlight of the whole thing.

Mike Levad is such a brilliant, creative and fun photographer and we were so happy to have worked with him. Mike was the only photographer we met with and right away it felt like a great fit. In fact, by a matter of coincidence, Mike and I grew up in the same small town in WA state! Throughout the process, Mike was responsive, considerate and flexible. For example, his wedding package includes an engagement shoot, but we already had this done by a friend. As an alternative, Mike did a "day-in-the-life" shoot instead of traditional engagement photos. It was tons of fun, easy and the photos turned out great. Leading up to the wedding, I went back-and-forth on a lot of different ideas and Mike was super flexible and cool as a cucumber the entire time. He also was honest and straightforward about how the wedding was going to go which helped in making decisions (and he knew what he was talking about; everything that he said would happen did happen). On the wedding day, Mike was a rock star. He came in happy and enthusiastic and made our wedding party and families feel at ease. He gets super excited about his shots and seems so passionate about his work; he would show us his favorite photos as he was taking them. He and his second photographer, Francisco, caught so many moments that really showed how we were feeling the day of. Our venue was large and quite spread out but Mike and Francisco were able to capture all of the events and special moments. Mike works FAST! He sent us a few photos the very next day to put on Facebook and we got all of our wedding photos 15 days after the wedding! I don't know if that's typical, but we REALLY appreciated it. We loved the end result and had so much fun looking through all of the photos. My favorite thing Mike was able to capture was authenticity - how everyone really felt during each point in time during the wedding. It was impossible not to smile and connect with all of the photos while looking through them. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Twin Birch Studios. We're so grateful to have worked with such a wonderfully talented, fun, creative and dedicated photographer in Mike Levad.

Mike is not only a talented photographer, he makes every experience fun!
