Two Adventurous Souls

I simply cannot say enough good things about working with Brittany and Dean, Two Adventurous Souls. From my first emails with them I knew I wanted to hire them for my wedding...they were immediately easy-going, flexible, and willing to work with our personalities, preferences, and budget. Because my husband and I came from out-of-state to get married in Maine, we had to do most of our vendor correspondence remotely so we first met them over Skype. They somehow blend incredible professionalism and personal approaches like I've never seen. They even went out of their way to meet us over breakfast one weekend when we were visiting Portland for other wedding business. We both felt like we had two amazing extra wedding guest-friends, but also at times like they weren't even there. And the outcomes?? Holy cow.. everyone was blown away by our photos, even our professional photographer friends! The 24-hour turn-around with sneak-peek and blog post was impressive and, over a month later, I'm still sharing the link for those who ask to see wedding photos. Our images are simply stunning. Brittany and Dean's talent and creativity are awesome, and they are a very fun pair to work with. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I can't wait to have an excuse to work with them again (Maternity photos? Dare by Brittany Rae?) .

Brittany and Dean did a fantastic job photographing our daughter's wedding at the Samoset Resort. They were very easy to work with and had so many great ideas for pictures. They were very familiar with the Samoset so knew exactly where to take some special pictures. They were very easy going and made everyone feel at ease. It was a nice surprise to be able to get a sneak preview of some of the photos on their blog the next day. The pictures were amazing - can't wait to see the rest! Thank you Brittany & Dean!

Brittany and Dean were SO amazing!!! We used them for our engagement session, my Boudoir photos and our wedding photos and there is not a single picture i am not in LOVE with. They were both so fun to have around and professional. They made everything so comfortable and easy. Brittany did a great job telling me how to pose and Dean and Brittany both were amazing with lighting. They are also great storm trackers (a huge storm was on the way for our wedding and we still got amazing photos before the storm came, all because of them!) I am recommended them to my friends getting married and will continue to use them for all my family photos in the future.

We hired Brittany and Dean for both our wedding day and engagement shoot and could not be the slightest bit happier with our decision! Through the entire journey, they were personable, organized, extremely responsive (which I appreciated SO much) and were super easy to work with. I asked what felt like hundreds of questions over the months and they were eager to give advice. For example, when it came to creating our wedding day timeline, they knew exactly what time would suffice for us to do a quick sneak away for sunset shots. They were flexible on our photo shoot location and our request for our puppy to be in a few shots. On our wedding day, they did a fantastic job at capturing all of our best moments. They also were accommodating when I requested a certain shot or pose for them to capture. They even had our photos up on a laptop immediately during our reception, which our family loved! And the very next morning, we woke up to a blog post written about us, which had me in the happiest of tears. It was truly the best way to recapture the best day of our life together. If there’s one thing I learned during my wedding experience, it’s that the most important thing a bride wish for on her wedding day – aside from good health and weather – is great vendors. It truly makes the day so much smoother and stress-free to know that all your hard work has paid off and is in good hands that you can trust. Brittany and Dean did this for us. Do NOT hesitate to hire them!!!

Brittany & Dean are truly the dream team! We were planning a destination wedding from out of state and choosing a photographer was so stressful. The one thing we get to keep from our wedding day are the photos and I didn't want to worry about the quality of the work. Brittany and Dean took time to speak to me over the phone along with a few emails to truly explain their packages and the quality of photos to expect. They KNOW MAINE! They were so helpful helping us understand the timing of when the photos should start and they knew the best spots on Peaks Island to capture remarkable photos. They were easy to work with and always prompt and detail oriented in their communication. They had "sneak peek" photos at our reception that night and 30+ INCREDIBLE photos up on their blog the next day for us to share with family & friends. Photography is one of the biggest budget items when planning a wedding but don't skimp for the most reasonable, we are thrilled we went with Two Adventurous Souls! Their work is impeccable!

Brittany and Dean are the best ! They took amazing photos of our wedding day, and made planning our day easy. They listened to our ideas, gave some great advice, and were flexible throughout the day. We felt like we were in good hands, and the pictures they captured are the proof.

I wanted to surprise my fiance with an unexpected gift - a male boudoir album. It was something completely out of my comfort zone which is exactly why I knew she'd love it. With only about a week before the big wedding day, I reached out to several nearby photographers. I received a lot of hesitation and mostly no's. After speaking with Brittany and Dean, they happily agreed to help work with me! We spent a couple hours shooting and it was surprisingly fun! It was definitely uncomfortable for me at first but they were professional and understood the big picture (pun intended). It made for an awesome wedding gift that I was able to give to my now wife. They knew I was rushed for time and they were able to expedite the project. I'm so thankful for them being actually "Adventurous." Thanks a lot!!!

Amazing Photographer. Brittany and Dean were so amazing with our wedding on 7/23/2016. We were able to connect with them on a personal level and we felt that we were a personal priority for them throughout our entire wedding process! Absolutely stunning and high quality photos! Brittany was impressively quick with her turnaround for our "sneak peek" pictures on her blog. It was a brisk winter day, but all of her photos from the beach had a warmth about them as if it was mid-summer. She was flexible and had perfect mix of poses and natural shots, which was much appreciated since we were a bit clueless. Highly recommend!!

We had Brittany do both our engagement and wedding pictures, and they all came out very, very well. Brittany and Dean are very easy going and comfortable to work with. Two thumbs waaaay up

From the beginning, Brittany was willing to work with us to make a custom package within our price range. She was great at the wedding and was very on top of things, but relaxed and fun at the same time. We have not received all the photos from the wedding yet, but the previous pictures are awesome!

From our mini-session in central Maine, to our engagement session in Boston, to our rehearsal dinner and wedding day in Midcoast Maine, Brittany was professional, supportive, calming, and wonderful to have in our corner. She made us laugh, helped us avoid our tendancy toward awkward poses (no small feat!), and made us and our loved ones look great in every shot. Brittany caught every little detail and looking back at our photos we noticed interactions and intricate details that we would have otherwise missed. Our families and friends have commented on how much they love the pictures and many brides-to-be who met her are interested in booking her for their big days!
