Sure, I’ll capture the beautiful, romantic moments on your wedding day to create those soft, light-and-airy portraits to swoon over, but… I’ll also give you shit if I say ‘smile’ and you present me with the same robotic cringe from your 2nd grade school picture.
I’m an Enneagram 8- wise big sister, former roller derby girl, and mother of two who has been shooting weddings since 2010. I thrive on being helpful, flexible, and saving the day when needed. I love supporting engaged couples from the planning process to wedding day with the tips and tricks I’ve learned (my camera bag is very Mary Poppins-like). I have a ‘teacher voice’, a flair for wedding day delegation (no usher is safe), and a genuine drive to help avoid or solve any issues that come up on your day; I’m even ordained in case of emergencies (my badge says ‘Reverend Brittany’ because I didn’t know ‘High Priestess Brittany’ was an option).
My approach to photographing portraits is a mix of guided poses, prompts, and a photojournalistic eye for those important spontaneous moments. “We’re awkward in front of the camera” is something I hear often (and TOTALLY relate to). My goal is to put you at ease with my process: explaining the poses I’m guiding you into, making small adjustments if needed, then launching into my stand-up routine to find those natural smiles (it’s actually just a few knock-knock jokes, but I do what I can).
My style is clean, timeless, and feminine- inspired by film with a touch of European romance (i.e. your local fine art Jose Villa wannabe stuck in the Midwest). If you’re drawn to the light and airy style and want the peace of mind of a photographer who feels like your cool aunt who’s done this a hundred times, I’d love to be the third wheel on your wedding day! Despite the volume of weddings I’ve photographed in the past 14 years, I continue to truly love weddings and believe that witnessing so many moments of sappy, concentrated, tear-filled love is simply good the soul (also, there’s usually cake).

Do not use this photographer. We got married in the beginning of December 2023. We received one email in February saying she is behind but to expect pictures soon. It is June 28, 2024, and we have received no further correspondence nor our pictures. Threatening lawyers did not even illicit a response.
Brittany was amazing!! She did our engagement and wedding photos for us and they turned out amazing! Absolutely recommend her as we have nothing but great things to say and have received so many compliments on our photos!
If you’re getting married in the North Dakota/Minnesota area you HAVE to have Brittany with Two Birds Photography be your photographer! She is absolutely amazing! She is funny and takes extraordinarily outstanding photos! We had Two Bird Photography for both our engagement photos and wedding photos, and we had such a great time with both experiences. My husband and I are awkward at taking photos but Brittany knows all the tricks on how to make you smile and laugh. It was like working with a friend the whole time and we had so much fun! She is also very well organized and will send you a schedule on what time different photo session will start throughout the day. I honestly used that schedule to schedule the whole rest of the wedding. I highly recommend Two Birds Photography and hope I have the pleasure of working with them again in the future!
Brittney and her staff were great to work with!! She was super friendly and took beautiful engagement photos. I can’t wait to see those from the weddings when my wedding cake didn’t arrive she and her staff went out and bought me a replacement and cupcakes. They knew how much this cake I had ordered meant to me. It was a very kind gesture and very much appreciated.
Whenever I meet with my clients I always ask if they’ve booked their photographer and if they tell me they booked Brittany I am THRILLED. I know she’s the best and will be a great experience for the couple so it is always a fun day for me to get to work with Brittany! Easily one of my highest recommended photographers based on the quality of her work and also her personality being 11/10!

Brittany with Two Birds Photography was fabulous and captured moments on our wedding day we would have missed if it wasn’t for her! She went above and beyond! She even showed up with hand warmers for our whole bridal party for our door photos. I am not a sentimental person, but Brittany captured photos I will cherish for my whole life, and will last for days after me. On top of doing an amazing job during every portion of our day, we received a preview of our photos the same night. I point ever couple to Two Birds Photography for their engagement and wedding!
I believe photography is the finest form to relive memories. With that being said, our most important wedding vendor was our photographer. Brittany- two birds photography, surpassed my many expectations. Brittany and her camera lense are a true work of art. She captured remarkable photos that my husband and I will endlessly adore. Her vibrant personality ensures you’ll have a wedding day filled with felicity. You will genuinely laugh when she tells you “okay now walk forward and start laughing”. She knows what she’s doing, because the photo will be magnificent.
Brittany has an eye to capture unique photos as well as the traditional photos that are true to her style. She did our engagement and our wedding photos, they turned out so beautiful and better than I imagined they would be. She’s very personable and makes you feel comfortable too! She really is the best!!

When researching photographers, an obvious staple is the quality of work and the style of work fitting your personality. Two Birds excels in these areas. But let me just say, Brittany’s personality was the icing on the cake. She’s bubbly, hilarious, the perfect amount of sarcasm and so CARING. Brittany was exceptional at limiting stress for me and reaching out during what I can only imagine to be one of the most stressful years to be a wedding vendor 😅 She went above and beyond to fit a time in for our engagement pictures (super last minute on my end!) to be sure we got the time of year we wanted! She was extremely responsive and kindly responded to my emails asking her to help pick from a few outfit options for us 🤦🏼♀️ She embraced all of my awkward body movements, laughs, and attempts at twirling. Brittany even went out of her way to reach out to me after a few family members passed in the middle of our engagement. I will recommend her OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Her quality of work speaks for itself. I literally cannot stop looking at our pictures. But having a photographer who actually cares about you and your spouse, can lighten the mood, and make fun of the occasional groomsmen will help make your wedding day and wedding photos that much more special. You’d be a fool to not hire Brittany.
We couldn't have asked for a better photographer to capture our day! Her thoughtfulness in every detail will always stick with me. She is a true artist and makes you feel incredibly comfortable and at ease throughout everything. She is also amazing at directing a large crowd! We had a large wedding party so she was awesome at getting everyones attention while making everyone laugh throughout the process. We cannot recommend Brittany enough to all of our friends and family!!
Brittany was an absolutely amazing photographer for our wedding! She was easy to work, prompt with responding to all of my questions, and honestly did everything she could to make our day go as smoothly as possible even when it wasn't what we had originally discussed, both leading up to and on our wedding day. We loved having our engagement pictures taken by her as well so that we were able to get to know her beforehand! We just recently got our wedding gallery back and could not be happier with all of the images!
We had Brittany capture both our engagement and our wedding photos and we could not have been happier to have her! She was professional, creative and super funny which put both myself and my husband at ease. Seriously, with how awkward it is to have someone take lovey pictures of you and your significant other, she made sure we looked flattering, had fun and got exactly what we were hoping to capture. Especially with all the nerves and excitement you experience on your wedding day, you will be so thankful to have a photographer who is poised, professional, experienced and hilarious. Our wedding pictures were very important to me so I had high standards. Brittany went above and beyond my expectations. My husband and I have quite a significant height difference. Brittany had so many tricks to make our pictures perfect (she even found a stump). She did amazing with coordinating pictures on the wedding day especially with large group photos. Brittany is hilarious and cares about her couples. She deserves all the recognition!
Hiring Brittany was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! She has exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding day. Besides our exceptionally beautiful and breathe taking photos (seriously have had so many compliments from everyone) Brittany made our day feel so relaxed. She and her assistant are both funny, personable, and truly just want to capture the best memories of the day.
We had not met Brittany until the day of our wedding as we both were living outside of the U.S, but she worked quick to make sure we were comfortable. We had skyped and kept in touch via email between booking and the wedding date to endure the day would go smoothly. We opted for the traditional route and skipped the ‘first look’ in favour of waiting for me to walk down the aisle, and the moment and photos were breath taking. I’m sure it could have created time constraints and stress for our photographers, but Brittany created a timeline that kept us happy and met all of our requests while still being able to enjoy our day. Not only was she an amazing photographer, she was a lifesaver and like our personal wedding planner on the day!

This review is well overdue and is much deserved. We chose Brittany to be our wedding photographer through her wonderful reviews on all of the top wedding sites, and boy were we beyond grateful we did. Words cannot begin to describe the perfection, the creativity, and the joy that describes her work which upon initially meeting her, can tell that this is her true passion. Pictures are not easy to take and can be mentally draining and exhausting. However, Brittany has such a unique, bubbly, and outgoing personality that she would make even the grumpiest of humans smile and laugh. Brittany brought her creativity, her direction, and her advice to every photoshoot we had and made picture taking an absolute breeze for our engagement shoot, and our wedding day. Brittany focused on the small things that surrounded your wedding day and ensured things were in order and on time so you could focus on enjoying your wedding day. Our wedding day happened to be around a blizzard. With anxiety building around the unlikelihood of our picture-perfect outdoor fall photos, we became nervous and stressed that the photos we were dreaming of weren’t going to happen. But even Mother Nature couldn’t stand up to what we had. We had Brittany. Without hesitation, Brittany had a backup in mind and we headed to her studio. Long story short, our wedding photos are even more that we could have ever dreamed of an we absolutely love the beauty and laughter she captured in every single photo on our very special day. Choosing Two Birds Photography, Brittany becomes more than your photographer, she becomes your fan, your cheerleader, and your best friend. Anyone looking for wedding photos that will stun an awe your loved ones and your friends must pick Two Birds Photography, and I promise, you will not be disappointed.
When my husband and I started talking about what we wanted out of our wedding, we both agreed that amazing pictures that we could hold onto forever were very important to us. And I’m so glad we found Brittany because she absolutely delivered and more. From the get go, Brittany was easy to talk to and made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera (not a thing that we are very good at!). We were beyond happy with her work, found her to be a pleasure to work with and would recommend Brittany to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.
I was first drawn to TwoBurds photography when I read Brittany’s bio on her website. She is hilarious, down to earth, and incredibly talented. After meeting her, I also learned she is so good at what she does. She had everything planned out. It was like she knew my questions before I had to ask them! Planning was so easy with her.
Brittany covered our wedding in-between two blizzards. I was a stressed out bride. Brittany and her second shooter were phenomenal. They had my whole bridal party laughing and they took amazing pictures we will cherish forever. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to photograph such an important event!
Our wedding pictures where absolutely gorgeous!!! We paid for 6 or 7 hours and we still had so many pictures in the end of our day. But every moment of our wedding was captured. From getting ready, to the sneak peek, bridal party, family pics, ceremony, reception, bride and groom. All of the pictures turned out absolutely stunning and beautiful. There was not a shortage of pictures taken. We had an outdoor wedding in july ..and it was hotter than hell that day. Omg hot! Idk how we survived that day ..but even so we all looked wonderful in the pics and you would have never guessed we where miserable ha.. Brittany was amazing. Her and her friend did a great job and we loved and enjoyed sharing our day with them both.
Along with having wonderful personalities, Brittany and her assistant helped us all be comfortable. My husband and I can be horribly, painfully awkward when we’re left to our own posing devices, so their assistance in making us look natural and capturing genuine moments was so appreciated. They were flexible and worked with us to get lovely, quality photos, despite the rain that threw the entire schedule off. She even risked her safety by going on a wet, rickety dock with us. Brittany also provided these beautiful extra flourishes for the ring, shoe and jewelry photos that I’m obsessed with, so I didn’t have to worry about finding all those props on my own! Her photography is so beautiful, and we’re so thankful Brittany wanted to do our wedding. ❤️ We love our photos.
LOVED her! What I loved most was that she was basically my wedding planner the day of my wedding. She sent me a timeline of the entire day which I wish I would’ve thought of and made sure I was on time for everything. I know it sounds like I was oblivious but on your wedding day everything goes by so fast, you rarely ever look at the time. Would choose Two Birds again and again!!! Highly recommend!
We had Brittany photograph our wedding and she did an amazing job!!! We met with several photographers before deciding on one and I can honestly say after meeting with Brittany we all said she was "the one!" She has such a great personality and her work speaks for itself. She was super easy to talk to and work with. She always got back to us right away, which was awesome. She also had great ideas about where to take pictures and knew all the great spots for that time of year. She made sure we were on time and got all the pictures we wanted. She also is GREAT with kids (flower girls and ring bearers). I loved how she was able to be loud and take charge and the second photographer she brought with was amazing as well! If you are looking for a wedding photographer or photographer in general all you need to know is Brittany is the BEST and "the one!"
We had an amazing experience with Brittany. She did an amazing job on our engagement photos and was very fun to work with during our session. This made us super excited to have her photograph our wedding. She has a very bubbly personality and is great at making everyone laugh and smile. We loved having her during our wedding. She caught little details, kept us on track with time, and even did amazing at getting large (about 30 people) family pictures. She never saw where our wedding was until the day of and she did amazing. She found places that looked great and told us just what to do. This is what we wanted. I loved every minute spent with her. Our families were very pleased with Brittany. And our previews that we have so far are amazing!! I can’t wait to see the rest! I highly recommend Brittany with Two Birds Photography. You will not regret having her!
Brittany is the best!! I spent hours looking at photographers for our engagement and wedding photos, because they were so important to us! I came across Brittany and LOVED her photos and personality that showed on her website! She helped my husband and I both feel comfortable, and really have fun taking our photos. We've now seen some of our photos from the wedding and are already in love with them! I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding wedding photographer!
Brittany is absolutely wonderful. She scoped out the perfect spot to take pictures outside and was so on top of everything. She told me exactly what poses to do, even if they were a little awkward! She made the process so much fun, even in the freezing weather. And to top it off, she sent me the previews so quickly afterwards, which helped me deal with the post-wedding blues! I would 100% recommend!
Brittany is AMAZING and her photos are stunning. Brittany is so fun to work with, just read her website and you will get a feel for how fun she really is. Brittany is so easy to work with. She is very organized and will make you feel awesome while making the awkward poses a little less awkward. We had a crazy snow storm on our wedding day, and our photos were breathtaking. I am so in love with all of them, I find my self scrolling through them are daily just to relive the moments. You truly could not find a better photographer who creates amazing photos to help you remember your special day. I am so thankful, my friend recommended her to me. WARNING: Long review, but worth the read!
I called Brittany 4ish months before our wedding, just devastated, because the photographer I had lined up before, fell through. When I talked with Brittany on the phone she instantly made me feel better and told me she could shoot my wedding! Not only was she professional but also made me feel at ease with her charismatic personality and her humor (emphasis on the humor).
DON'T MISS THIS PART BRIDES: she was always on time with EVERYTHING! And I mean everything. I went from having a photographer that didn't take deadlines seriously to having one that was on point at all times. Do you know how much help that was and how nice it was to have one less thing to stress about? Because, let's face it, there are already WAY too many things you're freaking out about and the last thing you want is to freak out about your photographer. Arguably, one of the most important aspects of the wedding.
The day of the wedding she was FABULOUS! She knew exactly what to do and took charge. When the groomsmen got off track, she was able to firmly redirect them without being rude. It was great! I didn't have to lift a finger, which is how it should be! If you don't pick Brittany as a photographer you must have somebody equal to her because she's a tough one to beat. Her prices are fair, her artistry with the photos are amazing, and she's never lacking in creativity.

Brittany is seriously amazing!!! Not only did she take amazing (seriously, AMAZING) photos, but she kept the bridal party on time! Not easy with HUGE families and a bridal party of 20. She’s really the best! We absolutely love our photos and are so happy we decided to go with her!
We could not have asked for a better photographer. Even from our initial contact, I knew Brittany was the photographer for us. She is fun, relaxed, helpful from photos to recommendations on other wedding planning details. Brittany worked well with us, our family/friends, and other vendors. Brittany was timely with delivery of photos and helped our families ahead of time so they could create their Christmas cards. With Brittany’s help, we knew we were in good hands.

Brittany shot our wedding and I am so glad she did!! I was first interested in her work because I saw some of her images on Instagram and loved her editing style. I thought it emphasized the people in the images without being distracting. They were bright, crisp, clear, and very classic. Then I met her at a coffe shop to interview her and instantly was drawn to her balance of professionalism and being personable. Since hiring her she has been all of that and more. We love our images!! And the whole process was so smooth. She communicates ahead of time, listens well, and has backup plans in case of inclimate weather;) She is easy to get ahold of, and will try to accommodate any special requests you might have. I would highly recommend Brittany to all my friends!!
Brittany was our wedding photographer and we couldn’t have been happier with the pictures she took, and how fun she was to have around us throughout our wedding day. Having a photographer follow you around all day on your wedding day is expected to capture all the moments of the day, but having that photographer make you feel comfortable like she’s an old friend you never knew you had was so unexpected and great! She was so good at making everyone feel at ease from our 1 yr. old ring bearer to our 80 year old grandparents and you can see that in each of our pictures she took. Brittany really goes the extra mile to ensure you get the pictures you want. When we asked her to take our engagement pictures outside with our snowmobiles, she didn’t think twice about going into our backyard with knee high snow and those pictures turned out exactly how we had imagined them! I would highly recommend Two Birds Photography to anyone!
I used Two Birds photography for my wedding photographer (which included an engagement session) and a family session. Her photos are stunning, and I will use her again. We had a very large wedding party and she was able to get some exceptional shots that I will cherish for a lifetime.
I found Brittany just by luck (referral) 2.5 months before my wedding in 2013. I absolutely loved her style back then, and I swear her photos just get better and better. Her photography is so creative, natural, and beautiful, and Brittany as a person makes it so fun with her personality. My engagement and wedding photos turned out so amazing. She also did boudoir photos for me in 2014, and I cannot say enough good things. When I first saw the photos, I thought, "Wow, that is me?!" She gets the best angles and makes you feel so comfortable. Two of my friends had Brittany shoot their weddings after mine, and I would highly recommend Two Birds Photography to anyone!
Brittany did our engagement and wedding photos in Fargo, ND in Oct 2014. She did such a fantastic job and was just a blast to have around! We were also lucky enough to have her do a gorgeous anniversary shoot in the Rocky Mountains in CO for our 2nd anniversary. We look forward to working with her again soon!
I chose Brittany (Two Birds Photography) to photograph my wedding day, and I also had a boudoir session her. Brittany is professional, talented and hilarious! She is easy going and does a great job at breaking the ice and cracking jokes to make everyone feel comfortable. She had a second photographer with her at my wedding, so no moment or angle was left unnoticed. I also felt very confident and comfortable during my boudoir shoot. We took the photos about 4 years ago and they are such fun and beautiful memories to hold on to. I would definitely choose Two Birds Photography again!
I’ll admit I had some pretty lofty expectations of our wedding photographer and Brittany completely NAILED it! She was amazing from the start, helping guide us even during the planning process. One of our many requests was for lots of candid moments captured throughout the day. I don’t know how, but Brittany found a way to capture SO MANY special images of us, our family, AND our guests. Looking back at them even three years later, you can still sense the emotion of those moments. She’s THAT kind of talented. She’s also hilarious, sweet, and she genuinely cares. You won’t be disappointed booking Brittany!
Brittany is amazing! You can feel the emotion and love when looking at her photos. Our friends and family know her as “our photographer” and I’m proud to call her that. I have know Brittany for almost 5 years and it’s been awesome to watch her grow as a photographer. I have been in two weddings that she was the photographer for, plus she has shot my engagement pictures, wedding, post wedding sunset shoot, two boudoir sessions, pregnancy announcement and maternity! She is highly recommended!

This was honestly the easiest decision I've made in the wedding planning process! I can't say enough positive things about Two Birds Photography and Brittany!! She is phenomenal! Brittany went out of her way to make sure I felt beyond special on my wedding day. My husband was also so impressed with her and her professionalism. We were married at Itasca State Park and Brittany was able to get a photo of us standing on the Mississippi Headwaters with no other park visitors in the shot...even though there were at least 100 people around! When we received we were beyond impressed and happy. I immediately printed then out and hung a gallary wall of them in our home. We get compliments every time people come over and see them! Brittany is absolutely amazing! She was so wonderful to work with, literally just felt like I was hanging out with a good friend. She is funny and energetic and really knows how to capture the little moments that happen. Sometimes you don't even realize she's taking the photo and yet when you look back at the pictures later, you realize she has captured magic and the real essence of the mood and feelings going through you. Brittany is truly amazing! It down poured pretty much our entire wedding (except for a couple hours at prime sunlight) and she made the venue work for indoor photos and they came out stunning! She's super sweet, easy to work with, and fun! My husband isn't the easiest to get to relax for photos but she got the true personality of him to come out! It quit raining at the prime hour of sunlight so we finally got the opportunity to take some outdoors and wow is literally all I can say! I still have wedding photos on our walls and we've been married for almost 4 years and have 2 littles already. Every time I look at the canvas on our wall it brings me back to our day, to the emotions I felt, and the meaning of that day for us. Brittany truly captured the essence of our wedding day perfectly in photographs.
I can't say enough good things about my experience working with Brittany. I inquired about a small, intimate, backyard wedding, and within 24 hours we were on the phone laughing like we were best friends. I knew from that point that she was going to be the one I trusted to make sure the best day of my life was captured on film. She was professional, easy-going (honestly her write-up describes exactly who she is - and it's fantastic), and really brought our personalities through in the pictures that she took. I look back on the pictures of our day almost weekly, and every single time I think about how lucky we were to find Brittany! I would (and have) recommended her to friends, and she best know that she will have ALL of our return business (even if it requires a 4 hour drive)!!
Brittany was amazing to work with, I had three photographers that I was interested in based on body of work and am so glad that we went with her. We had a lot of fun getting to know Brittany during our consultation and engagement photos. She was up for our crazy ideas and goofy personalities and was able to showcase that in our photos. The value that we received was amazing, Brittany was patient when working with our wedding party and we could not be more happy with the photos that we received of our big day. I was super impressed with the delivery of our flash drive, she went above and beyond to deliver our photos in an elegant wooden box that we have since placed our special wedding keepsakes in. I also did a boudoir session with her, Brittany made me feel comfortable and it was a special empowering experience. I would highly recommend Brittany with Two Birds Photography (and often do) for your special event.
We worked with Brittany for our weddings photos - and I'm SO glad we did! She was fun and creative and gave us what we asked for. She did a great job keeping everybody on schedule. We decided to incorporate our dog into our wedding and she made sure to capture that special moment for us. Two Birds Photography -Brittany Walsh is amazingggg! She caught everything on camera from our special day! She always has an extra photographer who was also amazing (dalayna) and both were so fun to have and hangout with for the day! Brittany is an amazing photographer. Her talent and creativity would be enough alone, but on top of that she makes intelligent decisions, gives direction beautifully, provides a comfortable atmosphere for her clientele, and has an great sense of humor! I have had my and my family's photos taken by her on multiple occasions. I just had a boudoir session with her a few weeks ago and within minutes she had me feeling comfortable in my skivvies. My wedding is just over four months away and I cannot wait to see the moments she captures!
Having Brittany as our wedding photographer was one of the most important parts of my day (besides my hubby, of course!)
