We had a unique idea we wanted for our wedding and Two Whisks nailed it! They were great to work with, made the process simple and truly wanted everything to turn out perfect. Not only was everything beautiful, it was absolutely delicious. We had several guests comment about how exceptional the taste was. We also had Two Whisks do the desserts and favors for both of our showers and it turned out phenomenal. We would definitely recommend Two Whisks for not only any wedding, but also showers, birthday parties, or any other event! Thank you to Two Whisks for making our wedding feel so special!

This review is long overdue- We were married last year in June and we just pulled our top tier out of the freezer and it was still just as delicious as the day we were married! Amazing! Today I had my first appointment of 3 for cake tasting for my wedding. As I walked in we were greeted with a beautiful setup of cupcakes of our choosing to try. I am very pleased to say that our cupcakes were nothing short of phenomenal! It was a hard decision to choose because I wanted them all! I chose my cake and flavors and ordered everything on the spot! Katie was absolutely wonderful and even took my very curious 5 year old son to the back to show him the giant mixer they used and he was so excited! I highly recommend them to anyone for any bakery need they have! And the best part, I got everything I need for WELL under my budget! Again, I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone! I could not recommend Two Whisks Bakery more! They did such a phenomenal job on our wedding cakes. We ordered 5 different wedding cakes so guests could choose from a variety of flavors. Each flavor combo we chose was delicious! Katie and her team did a perfect job bringing our cake visions to life! We did an assortment of naked and frosted cakes on wooden crate pedestals and they looked so good on our Sweets Table! I can not describe how wonderful Two Whisks Bakery was to work with, but I am going to try! Katie was SO great from the very beginning (messaging her on Facebook to book a cake tasting appointment) to the very end (delivering our BEAUTIFUL cake to our wedding venue an hour away). My husband really is not a cake person, and we almost went without a traditional cake since he wouldn't enjoy it as much. However, at the cake tasting we were given three or four different samples (we were able to choose the samples from a list of options that they had) and he ended up eating more of the cake than I did! He LOVED all of it, which is a pretty big deal since he doesn't like cake. All of the flavors and fillings were delicious, and the best part is how Katie was able to mix and match them to customize your cake! She was open to all of our ideas and really made our dream cake become a reality. To top it all off, she also made my flower girl a special birthday cake (since we got married on her birthday) that also turned out amazing! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how good our wedding cake was! We were so happy with how the cakes turned out, and we still love visiting their beautiful bakery over the weekends. Katie is open and honest and really wants to give you the best bang for your buck, not hiding any fees or pushing you to buy more than you need. We probably changed the amount of cake we needed at least twice, and she never complained or told us no. Honestly, I could go on and on about our amazing experience with Two Whisks, but the bottom line is that this bakery is the full package. You get amazing customer service, competitive prices, and the most delicious cakes/cupcakes/pastries that you have ever had. You are treated like family, your cakes are baked fresh, and they genuinely care about your vision for your day. BOOK THEM! you will not be disappointed.

I've been a fan of Two Whisks since they've opened their doors. Their pastries, cakes and cupcakes have never disappointed so when my fiance and I got engaged, it was a no-brainer who would do our wedding cake. For the tasting, you get to choose four different types of cake flavors and fillings to find the perfect match. Katie was so nice and really took the time to discuss pricing, options, and decor. She has many cake and cupcake stands that can be used and the displays look amazing. If you're looking for a reasonably priced bakery without sacrificing quality in appearance or taste, Two Whisks is your bakery!

Two whiak bakery done our 3 tier wedding cake and 50 couples for our wedding 5/20/17. Everyone said it was the best cake and cupcakes that they had ever tasted. There was no cake or cupcakes left. Jorie was great to work with...she personally sat down with us during our consultation to talk with us about what we were looking for and let us taste several flavors of cakes and fillings. I provided her with a picture of the design I wanted and she replicated it perfectly. Our wedding cake was not only beautiful, but it was SO delicious. We received several compliments. I highly recommend her and will definitely be going to her for other occasions down the road.

We ordered a dessert table and wedding cake from Jori for our wedding. The desserts were delicious, and the wedding cake couldn't have tasted better. They have so many treats to choose from, and are so accommodating. When you visit the shop, they have everything you could want, but also have pictures of options of how they can set up your cake and desserts. What I loved was that they have done so many different venues and worked with so many brides, that they really can do it all. They work with you, so that you end up with what you want. They were so kind and professional, I am so thankful we took the trip to Manteno so that Jori could make all of our delicious wedding treats! I would definitely recommend their shop for any occasion.

We got lemon cake with tairmsu filling and it tasted wonderful. The cake was decorated just like I had wanted.

Amazing cakes and pastries, gave Jorie a picture of a cake on Pinterest and she was able to duplicate it almost exactly on my wedding day. Not to mention, their cakes taste fantastic and they have a ton of flavors. Their hours are a little short so sometimes hard to reach them on the phone but we didn’t need to call them too much anyway. The cake tasting was one of the most fun parts of wedding planning and Jorie gave us some cupcakes to take home too. They also give you a free small cake if you return within 1 year for your anniversary; no more eating 1 year old cake!  Awesome experience; awesome desserts.

We highly recommend Jories cakes. She not only has beautiful cakes, they taste amazing. They are moist. We had our wedding cake from her and we loved it. We had red velvet cream cheese. The cream cheese is like butter cream its very good. Then we had a layer of devils food with hot fudge and mint filling- my favorite. Then my husband is a fan of white and buttercream it was very moist and good too. We also had chocolate covered strawberries for each guest which makes for an extra unexpected treat, our guests really enjoyed them, big and tasty too.

Jorie was awesome! she did my parents 40th wedding vow renew. the cake was winter wonderland and we had her do snowflake cookies for the favors, everyone loved them. I going to use her again when I get married

Our experience with Jorie from Cakes and Pastries by Jorie was nothing but phenomenal. She was so nice in person, on the phone and via email. We absolutely loved the creative foresight she shared with us for our Halloween wedding cake. The cake was of course incredible and was completely devoured before the end of the night. We met with Jorie one time for our tasting and left our cake topper on the dessert table at our venue the night before our wedding and she (and her staff) took care of everything else. It was such a beautiful presentation and the cake, carrot cake and chocolate covered strawberries were delightful. I would definitely recommend hiring Jorie for any event where you'd like your guests to be wowed by a fantastic dessert. Her talent is amazing.

The cake Jorie provided was fantastic! Our guests came up to us and asked where we got the cake from cause it was so delicious. We received a complimentary tasting from Jorie in January, where we tasted 5 different pre selected options.We then went through the cake vision I had. After we decided to go with Jorie we confirmed our design and flavors and had until 2 weeks before the wedding to change anything we did not like. My mother in law also used Jorie for a sweet table at our bridal shower and my husband's cousins and the guests at both raved about the desserts.

Cakes and Pastries by Jorie made my beautiful wedding cake. They were very helpful and let me sample cakes, change my mind on what I wanted a few times, and request a very detailed custom design. On the day of the wedding everything was delivered while I was out getting pictures taken so I didn't even get to see it until I walked into the reception. They even decorated it with some leftover flowers I had for no charge. I was so pleased! They did a great job. Thank you!

My husband I got married on May 23 of this year. We had Cakes and Pastries by Jorie do our wedding cake. Instead of cake we went with cupcakes which also we added some gluten free ones for our friends with allergies to gluten. They did make us an individual cake to cut at the wedding. Jorie and her team are amazing, they are accommodating. We would highly recommend them to anyone. They met my needs and exceeded my expectations.

I loved my cake, I tested a few local places and the cake was superior and I couldn't beat the price. I had personalized service and she allowed me to call in changes without a problem. She used flowers I brought her to put on the cake and it was delivered with plenty of time before the reception. I had a very moist cake that looked perfect. I strongly recommend cakes by Jorie to everyone.

I chose Cakes by Jorie for my wedding cake after sampling some of Jorie's cupcakes at a bridal show. From the beginning, working with Jorie was great! She helped us plan out the most affordable way to have the cake of our dreams. Jorie allowed us to choose 4 different flavors to have a variety within our cake and everyone said that they went back for more cake to try the other flavors because they were all so good! Another bonus, is that Jorie will re-make the topper of your cake on your one year anniversary so that you don't have to save the topper (which I have been told tastes horrible after a year in the freezer)!! Overall Cakes by Jorie was by far the best wedding cake I have ever had and I would recommend them to EVERYONE!

Wow! That was what we thought during our first tasting, the cupcakes for the Bridal Shower, and especially our wedding cake. Everything was absolutely perfect! We loved how beautiful it looked and the rocks were lovely and fit with our theme just right. We both made sure to eat our piece at dinner and were actually a little disappointed that it was all gone at the end of the night. Our families just loved it as well. Jess’ Dad wanted to book right away after the first tasting, but we did look at other vendors and let us tell you, he was right. Jorie's has the best cakes and service in town hands down. We will certainly be using their services for all of our future events, anniversaries, birthdays, and everything else in between. We can’t wait to get our top tier cake next year! Jorie's cupcakes are amazing!!! We ordered 250 cupcakes in 5 different flavors for our wedding in October. Everyone loved them and asked for her business card for their own events in the future. Jorie was really great and easy to work with. I would recommend her bakery to anyone and everyone!

We had a wine barrel cake to fit our wine theme. It turned out amazing and was so beautiful! Several of our guests complimented how unique and pretty the cake was and also how wonderful it tasted! I would definitely recommend and will use again for future cakes!

I recently used Jorie for a cake and cupcakes at my wedding. I can't tell you how many people raved about how good the cupcakes were! All the flavors were delicious! I had absolutely nothing left over! Her one of a kind mousses are to drool over! I will no longer search for another bakery for my cake needs! I will be using Jorie for all my future cake needs! Worth my drive and the price!

Cakes and Pastries by Jorie was a great experience. My husband and I got married 9/20 in Frankfort at CD&ME. They are the preferred vendor for the venue, and we are so glad to have placed our order with them! Manteno isn't a bad drive at all, and the store is in a cute little downtown area. We actually met with Jorie for our tasting. The store is adorable and they have so many delicious and cute things! We corresponded with her through email first, and let her know what type of cake we wanted to try. When we got there, she had cupcakes set up and we ate! It was a lot of fun, and very affordable. We did a 3 tier cake, 10", 8" and 6", then did the rest in sheet cakes for about 250 people. It wasn't more than $500, which is pretty amazing these days! Plus, it was very good cake, not dry, and the buttercream frosting was great! Of course, we didn't get any cake at the wedding, but they offer to make you a mini cake on your anniversary! A friend recommended that I check out Cakes by Jorie after I told her about a $900 quote I got from another bakery for a 3 tiered, rustic, ruffle cake. She had Cakes by Jorie do her wedding cake and had nothing but amazing things to say about her. I decided to give her a try and could not have been happier with the outcome. I showed Jorie the same cake as the other baker and she was able to replicate it for under $400 which also included a 45 minute delivery. In addition to her great price and beautiful work, the taste of the cake was delicious. Many of my guests commented on its taste and look. I couldn't have been happier with our decision to have Jorie make our cake. I will use her for all of events in the future and will recommend her to anyone I can. Thank you Jorie!

Cakes and Pastries by Jorie exceeded all our expectations with the beautiful wedding cake and groom's cake we selected for our reception. My husband and I knew at the cake tasting that our search for a cake maker was over. We received so many compliments on how gorgeous the cakes looked and how delicious they were. Jorie and her staff are simply amazing and can create anything they are challenged to do. We will definitely be asking Jorie to make more cakes for us in the future.

Our daughter had a destination wedding and we had a home reception for all who could not attend. The reception was a Tropical theme to make everyone feel as though they were on an Island! The cake from Cakes and Pastries By Jorie was raved about from all our guests! The different layers by size were different flavors of cake and different fillings. The mousse fillings were amazing! The Almond cake and chocolate cakes were moist and fresh! They met our expectations on all levels! We also ordered chocolate covered strawberries, which were amazing also. I recommend you taste test their cakes! They are all fabulous! We also ordered the Bachelorette party cake from them...they are now our favorite cake people!!! So easy to work with! Working with Jorie and picking out cakes was my absolute favorite part of planning our wedding. Jorie always put us at ease during the process, and we always left her shop smiling. Not only was her service outstanding, but her cakes were absolutely delicious! We had two different cakes, one with 2 layers and one 1-layer cake. All three flavors and fillings were incredible (yellow cake with strawberry filling, chocolate/devils food with custard, and white cake with triple berry filling). And she will even re-make your favorite cake for your one year anniversary.. for free! I absolutely recommend Cakes and Pastries by Jorie to everyone.

For the price, we got over 200 filled cupcakes, our 6" cake, and several trays of pastries! They were displayed on our dessert tables and ready at the start of our reception. Everything tasted amazing! We got so many compliments from our guests saying it was the best dessert they have ever had At a wedding reception!

I sought out a simply designed cake that was delicious and that is exactly what Jorie brought. We not only had cake, but also her mini cupcakes that were a big hit with guests. We are still receiving rave reviews from guests on how delicious the cake and cupcakes were, and we have some very picky people in our families. I highly recommend Jorie and her services for any sweet treats you may need.

BEST CAKES EVER!!! I came across Cakes and Pastries by Jorie at a bridal expo. She wasn't actually a vendor there, but a real estate vendor was serving her cupcakes to anyone that stopped by. It was one of the first cakes me and my bridesmaids tried. We compared every cake that day to her's and they just did not cut it. I ended up going back and getting Jorie's information and it ended up being one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. I had the pleasure of having Jorie's cakes for both my engagement party and wedding. They were both absolutely perfect and I plan to contact her for all future major events!

Cake is delicious! Very friendly staff and wonderful with kids. The cake looked good but didn't meet my expectations. Will use again but will make sure I communicate with them more to get exactly what I want.

We decided to do a sweet table along with cupcakes instead of a wedding cake. We received so many compliments on the sweet table and it was set up beautifully. Jorie was amazing to work with and her cupcakes are to die for.

First I will start by saying the Jorie is absolutely wonderful. She is attentive and she can execute any idea that you give her. When my husband proposed he wrote a letter to me. Jorie wrote the letter verbatim around the cake. It was soooo gorgeous!! She delivered the cake to my reception location and she set the cake up and put my decorations (cake topper and flowers) on the cake for me. In addition, the cake was absolutely delicious. It flew off the cake table and people were asking for seconds. I would highly recommend Cakes and Pastries by Jorie, you will not be disappointed! Good price, good cake and good customer service, what more could a bride ask for.

Cakes by Jorie was given to me by a co worker. I wanted to get something that was real close to the hall and this turned out great! From the time of our appoitment for the cake tasting to the end of our night everything was wonderful. We went in for our cake tasting and went out with such an excitement for our cake. The day of our wedding it was set. Everything was magical. The cake table with cupcakes was beautiful and the flowers around was beautiful. The obly thing I wished we would have done was a bit bigger cake there was none to take home and i was wanting some at 3 am.... Above all evrything was beautiful and the cake and cupcakes was delicious!

I've never had a wedding cake that tasted this great! We wanted the look of fondant, but the taste of buttercream frosting and that's EXACTLY what we got. A three tier cake - each tier a different flavor - and completely DELICIOUS! In addition to our cake, we ordered pastries...they were so good, we had only a dozen pieces left over at the end of the night. I can't wait for the next time we have to order baked goods...we'll definitely turn to Jorie.

Jorie's Cakes was suggested to me by a coworker of mine as well as a couple friends that recently had gotten married. My husband and I search online the different flavors and different combinations we could try. When we went for the tasting,everything we tried was great! We knew right there we had to have her make our wedding cake! We Decided on 2 different combinations, Chocolate with Mint mousse and Confetti Cake with Oreo Mousse! Both flavors were wonderful and all the guests continue talking about the chocolate mint cake...I was skeptical at first before i tried it at the tasting and then I FELL IN LOVE!!! I was dreaming about this cake weeks coming up to the wedding!! The staff that we worked with was able to answer any questions we had, and was very helpful in suggestions on size, shape, etc regarding the cake. Overall, I highly recommend Jorie's Cakes and Pasteries!! Every time I went in the bakery to put $ down on the cake, I had to buy a cupcake or cookies.... I never walked out of there empty handed. :-) Everything I have tried of theirs taste amazing.

I had found Jorie via the knot and when i scheduled a cake tasting and everything it was perfect...the price was the most reasonable i had found anywhere. the cake was so great...moist and sweet...the frosting was great sweet but not obnoxiously sweet. She offers a free anniversary cake if you dont want to freeze yours! who wants to eat year old frozen cake anyway?! She is so easy to work with..very creative and so flexible! I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her for you weddings in the south suburban chicago area for sure!! seriously cant go wrong!

Nothing makes a bride feel more amazing than guests telling her a year later how wonderful the wedding was. The comment we receive often is, "THOSE CHEESECAKES WERE AMAZING!!" My husband and I are not big "cake people", so we ordered a small 6 & 8" round cake to cut for pictures. For dessert for the guests, we ordered 900 mini cheesecake cupcakes (for 300 guests), all different flavors! We did a tasting with her beforehand and immediately knew she was the one we wanted to work with. As mentioned, people to this day are raving about those cheesecakes. The delivery, the presentation, everything was just as we pictured. A huge thank you to Jorie for being so wonderful to work with and make our wedding dessert dreams come true! I have contacted her to recreate some of the cheesecake cupcakes for our anniversary this year. A year later, and she's still amazing to work with. I'm so excited for those who chose to work with her. (Our wedding cake was almond flavored with strawberry mousse filling and chocolate mousse filling on the different layers! It was absolutely to die for!) Jorie made us feel like we were the most important clients, as I'm sure she makes everyone feel. She's based in Peotone, but delivered to Alsip for our wedding. I'm so glad we decided to work with her. It was perfect!

I am not a huge cake person but when I tasted Jorie's cakes at a small wedding expo I knew I had to have it!!! I craved her cake for months!! Our consult to decide which cake and what we wanted it to look like went perfectly! She was able to take my vision and make it even better than I imagined!! I was so amazingly happy with my cake. We loved working with Jorie and absolutely loved our cake. We had been looking at another vendor, but tried Jorie's cake at an event at our venue. We were sold when we tried the red velvet cupcakes with a cream cheese buttercream frosting. And Jorie was great to work with.
