th her little black camera and her big smile shining in genuine delight in getting to photograph my magical day, I felt such reassurance... and any apprehensions that were tugging at my mind were quickly melted away. Ty was so kind and patient and I loved that she seemed to be as excited about our big day as I was! She has such an eye for catching the perfect picture, and she did just that... and did it with such ease, telling me where to stand, how to tilt my head, constantly reassuring, making the experience seem so natural... taking the pictures with such flow, without one time making us feel as if she was intruding or interfering. When my husband and I got our pictures back, we were blown away. She had so perfectly captured what we were feeling throughout the day... expressions on our faces, on the faces of our families and those we love so dear... breathtaking scenes that brought much laughter and tears as we viewed them. The tenderness and joy that permeated that day were permanently captured, beautifully illustrating our love story for generations to come. Kevin and I simply cannot express enough praise for Ty... and give her the highest recommendation!!

sophy: This day was not about us, but about the wonderful supportive family and friends we have, that shaped our emotional and intellectual development. They gave us the qualities that we fell in love with, in one another. So we want to celebrate them. Ty was totally on board with our approach, and was very supportive. For the photography style, we knew that we did not want the type of photos we were seeing on most photographers' websites. We communicated our ideas on the phone with Ty before signing a contract, and again in person at an informal meeting a few months before the wedding. Ty took notes and did a fantastic job following through with the types of photos we wanted. She had a second photographer working with her who also did a great job keeping with our requests. Here are the key things we requested: 1) Journalistic style versus portrait. We preferred to have photos of guests be candid, as they interacted with one another, as natural as possible. (We didn't want guests to pose and smile for every shot, or even know they were being photographed.) 2) We disliked the angled/artsy style of many photographers - which Ty avoided for us. She still produced photos with great stylistic elements of lighting contrast, and depth of field of view. 3) Focus on people, not on stuff. Many wedding photographers display their abundant photos of the place settings, the rings, the shoes, etc etc, which we found to be materialistic and not our taste at all. We said that the Ty's energy should be on the people and their interactions. (She did snap a few of the 'stuff' photos in the reception hall, before guests arrived, but this didn't distract her from what we considered the more important subject matter). The day of the wedding: I did not want to have my morning-of preparations (hair, getting dressed etc) be photographed like a staged event. I excused her from joining me in the morning, and she totally respected my wish. She got great shots at the church of the acoustic guitar groom warming up. One of our special requests was to photograph all 200 of our guests gathered on the outside steps of the church, following the ceremony. Ty went above and beyond to climb on a giant ladder and efficiently organize the energized mob of loved ones for this shot. And before she left at the end of the reception, she made sure to find me and have me indicate any lasts requests for shots. The results: A month after the wedding, we received a link to an online gallery of (all? at least a huge number) of the photos. We were so moved and overjoyed as we looked through them! Absolutely fantastic results, and perfectly aligned with our requests. We also had a huge outpouring a praise and delight as our guests browsed the gallery. We also received a USB drive in the mail that we can use to print whatever photos we like best. Overall, Ty was very communicative, friendly, and a true pleasure to have with us on our wedding day. Her photos of the day are remarkable, and surpassed our expectations. I would strongly recommend Ty to any bride in the area.

poses or anything! Ty was very good about instructing us all and had multiple fun ideas for us to try! She was also great about helping us achieve the ideas we did have. I felt comfortable with her and the pictures were quick and easy and turned out great. She even sent disks with all our photos to not only me, but to my mom and my husband's mom, too!
