As a newly engaged couple, we wanted to ensure we found the 'perfect' photographer to capture our wedding day. Fortunately, we were able to find Rachel, who is such an incredibly talented photographer. She will not only meet your expectations but surpass all of them with hundreds of beautiful images to last you a lifetime. We initially hired Rachel because we loved her style - We both enjoyed that all her photos seemed to share a story. Her photos were not over-filtered or heavily edited, her couples were not in a stiff pose or seated uncomfortably, but most importantly, all her images seemed genuine and candid. You look real. As part of our particular wedding package, Rachel includes a 'free' engagement session. My husband was very against doing this engagement session with Rachel, at the time, because 1.) He hated taking professional photos, and 2.) We had already taken our engagement photos. However, at the suggestion of Rachel, we went ahead with it, and I'm so GLAD we did! To Rachel's point, it was helpful to practice posing and working together ahead of our wedding day. We have the most beautiful wedding photos because we took that opportunity to shoot together before the big day. We love every. Single. Wedding. Photo. There are over 800 photos. We love every single image. Also, Rachel sent us a sneak peek of 50 photos literally 12 hours after our wedding. When we finally received our full wedding gallery, we were so touched by the amount of intentional photography Rachel used to capture our day. Each photo encapsulated a different moment from our day - beautiful, tear-jerking, funny, or sweaty. Of course, we have the "traditional" wedding photos. Still, our gallery feels like a perfect summation of our entire day. *Disclaimer: Rachel may have some magical powers* Not only did she get my husband to do an additional engagement shoot WILLINGLY, BUT….LADIES, my HUSBAND 1.) WILLINGLY Practiced smiling and posing for our wedding day, and 2.) unprompted - was so impressed with our wedding gallery; he said that we could only work with Rachel for professional photos moving forward

How can I put into words how amazing Rachel truly is? I saw her photography on Instagram and I immediately knew she was our wedding photographer. She knows how to create the perfect shot. She’s so fun to work with and makes you feel comfortable in front of a camera. Our engagement photos were perfect and our wedding photos (that we’ve seen so far) are even more amazing. We plan to have Rachel as our photographer for any future family sessions. She just the best. You won’t be disappointed if you choose her to capture your big day.

Rachel is amazing and you should definitely hire her to photograph your wedding!! We are in love with both our engagement and wedding photos! Plus she dried and framed my wedding bouquet for me. Rachel is responsive, professional and SO quick to get your images back to you. We received about 100 sneak peaks the very next day and our whole gallery to us within a month (yay winter weddings!). I cannot even begin to describe how exceptional Rachel is. I had a very hard time trying to pick an engagement and wedding photographer. I had no idea where to even begin. I feel like photography is one of the biggest choices to make about your day so you can look back and reminisce on the best day ever. When I came across Type & Timber… it was everything I wanted and more. It was also AFFORDABLE. How could it get any better? Rachel is so kind, and was such a hype girl throughout the entire day. Her energy is unmatched. She kept all of her promises despite just having a baby and another little at home. When she delivered the sneak peak pictures shortly after the wedding, I was so overwhelmed with happiness all I could do was ugly cry. When all of the pictures came in… my world stopped for that day and all I did was look through them all. Even though it’s been six months…. I still look at them every day. They are displayed all over our house, our parents houses and even grandparents houses. Her pictures tell a story. It just so happens to be my favorite story.

Rachel helped make our wedding day perfect! We hired Type and Timber for both our engagement photos and wedding day photos. For the engagement shoot she went above and beyond by taking our photos outside in the middle of winter. During the day of our wedding, we were comforted knowing we had someone with us all day who was experienced, professional, and could adapt to any changes that came up. Rachel was fun to talk to and easy to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. The best part was that we received “sneaks” of our photos within 48 hours following the event. I truly cannot find the words to describe how amazing Rachel is as a photographer and a human! Her ability to make people feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera is amazing. We have only gotten our sneak peeks yet and we are already obsessed with them! I can’t wait to use her for future family photos down the road. We initially picked Rachel because I liked the way she edited photos and her overall aesthetic. However, after getting to know Rachel we realized we also got someone who is caring, patient, kind and very talented! Rachel was so accommodating & supportive through all of the rescheduling. She was able to be there for our 2020 wedding with 10 people and again in 2021 for our wedding with all of our guests. We have also used her for our a boudoir shoot, maternity shoot, and a newborn lifestyle session. We have LOVED the photos every single time. She is so great at capturing “us”. She has always made us feel comfortable during the shoots and listened to any of our requests. We are so happy to have a photographer we love to capture all of our special milestones.

Honestly, I don’t think there’s a single negative thing I could say about Rachel or her work. Seriously. You’ve read the reviews. Why are you still here? Hurry up and book her NOW! Rachel’s work is second to none. When I say we are obsessed, I mean we spend a lot of work hours STARING at our pictures in awe. Like, contemplating making a wedding picture wallpaper, obsessed. I would re-book Rachel a million times over if I could. She’s so extremely friendly, helpful, and makes every picture feel effortless. She has the perfect eye for the best shot over and over again. If there’s one thing you must do for your wedding (or any other life event), it HAS to be booking Rachel to shoot the pictures - there’s no way you’ll regret it.

You guys, Rachel is amazing! She’s insanely talented, incredibly kind, and is a great hype woman on your day! She’s easy to get along with and made my fiancé and I feel so comfortable - we could be ourselves and it shows in her photos! Our favorite photos are the ones she got of us being us and our family being themselves! There were so many of those because she makes you feel like you can be yourself. She’s great at helping you get the shots you want (family photos, individual photos with bridesmaids/groomsmen, sparklers, etc) but also adding in some ideas you never thought of but now love! She takes so much pride and care in making your photos feel unique and personal and absolutely beautiful. Plus she’s amazing at getting your photos back - always within the time she says and usually a little earlier if she can! She’s also so creative - she can make any space look and feel special and beautiful which is a talent! She found some amazing spots to take our photos and they are definitely better than I ever would have imagined! We have so many favorite photos that’s it’s now difficult to decide how many wedding photos is too many wedding photos to put up on your wall? You won’t ever regret booking Rachel - she’s timely in responses (even in the midst of crazy wedding season), professional, kind, talented, creative, and a genuinely all around incredible human. Where do I even begin with Rachel? I started following her on Instagram way before I even got engaged and I'm not exactly sure how I stumbled upon her page, but it sure was a stroke of serendipity! I instantly fell in love with her work. She's incredibly talented, super friendly, personable, professional, easygoing, and made us feel so comfortable. Our engagement and wedding day photos turned out AMAZING and better than we even could have imagined. Rachel has a fantastic artistic eye and captured our special day so organically and authentically. I especially appreciated that in addition to all the "typical" wedding events/shots, she got some great pictures of our loved ones laughing during the speeches, tearing up during the ceremony, hugging each other after not having seen one another for the last year and a half because of the pandemic, etc. which is so so special to me. Our entire gallery is such a beautiful summation of all the little moments of emotions, happy tears, laughter, and joy from our special day surrounded by the most important people in our lives, and I will always treasure that. I'm so thankful to Rachel for sharing her talents and giving us the gift of reliving these moments and our day over and over again! I can’t say enough good things about Rachel! I’m in love with her work, so last summer I booked a mother-daughter session with my 16 year old daughter. Obviously the photos were BEAUTIFUL, but the entire experience was amazing! We had so much fun and Rach was so sweet and made us feel so comfortable! My sister is getting married in 2021 and booked Type & Timber and we are all SO EXCITED!!! I already can’t wait to see her wedding photos. I cannot recommend Type & Timber enough- start to finish, we had such a wonderful experience. Rachel responded quickly to all of our communications, recommended a beautiful spot for our engagement pictures. Neither of us are very comfortable in front of a camera, but Rachel made the whole process feel natural. Before the wedding, she designed our table numbers/menu/thank you, and we got so many compliments. It fit perfectly into our decor. On the wedding day, Rachel was again a total rockstar. She got to us early, was upbeat and kept us on track. I have a large and loud family, and she got us organized so we could get all of the picture combinations we wanted. We got our pictures back quickly, even during the busy season, and ohmygod- I can’t begin to describe all of the emotion she captured- looking at our pictures makes me teary-eyed every time. I could not recommend her enough, and I do to anyone I know looking for photography.

We are in awe of our engagement pictures! Rachel made us feel so comfortable for our first time in front of a professional lens. Rachel is hands down an AMAZING photographer!!! She is extremely talented, has such a great eye and knows when and where to capture the most beautiful pictures. We chose Rachel as our photographer and just recently had our engagement session. She is literally the best! She is so great to work with and will do anything to keep things low-key and stress free. Rachel captured my wedding day with perfection! She pays attention to detail and knows what she is doing . She managed to capture the big and small memories from every part of the day!
