He has games/icebreakers really engaged the guests and while we were taking photos after dinner, we came back to everyone laughing, all guest tables participating, a little competition was occurring, and everyone having so much fun. Let him do his thing with all his icebreakers, games, and fun activities he has up his sleeve, you won't regret it at all. We also went with Dean for our photo-booth, which was everything and more. He personalized our photo strip, the backdrop, and our guests were able to get more than just 1 copy of the photos. If you're planning on getting married, Ultimate Events is the way to go. You will not regret it, and your guests will never forget how amazing your wedding was! We got married in October 2022, and people are still talking about how much fun they had from Dj Dean.

My husband then worked out getting some extra lighting with the increase in price, which at least made me feel a little better paying more. He's amazing and you won't regret it. Many guests came up to me after the wedding and commented on how much fun they had, and it's largely thanks to Dean and his wonderful energy and charisma!

He was so incredibly thorough with the timing of the whole day and was truly the coordinator of the event in my eyes. He made sure the ceremony music and reception music was exactly what they wanted, that the timing of the evening went exactly according to plan, and made this backyard wedding feel so professionally planned and executed. He even had notes and pointers for the officiant, who was a friend so he didn't have experience. That alone was a life saver. The wedding guests LOVED him for his energy, games and icebreakers, and his humor. After making sure all the parts of the reception went according to plan, he spent the rest of the night taking our song requests -- which we had many -- and giving us a lot of time for tons of dancing! I had no idea how much work went into being a DJ and MC for a wedding until witnessing all the work that Dean did. The bride, groom, and myself as the maid of honor are all SO grateful for Ultimate Events and for Dean--for making the day so special and taking great care and pride in their work. THANK YOU!

n the dance floor which is not something I can say for a lot of weddings I have been to. He took guest song requests and really read the room well to keep people energized and dancing! Marc and I are not overly cheesy people so when Dean first brought up the idea of little games during the reception, we were skeptical. After talking with him about our concerns, he was able to completely tailor his ideas to fit our style and we wouldn’t have had our wedding any other way! I know this review is long but I really want to do them justice, so last thing! After going back and forth on whether we wanted a photo booth we ultimately decided we did want one and wow, I’m so glad we did! The attendant who was there (sorry I didn’t catch his name!) was so great and enthusiastic, every time I walked past there were always people there! Everyone had such a good time! If ultimate events is available for your wedding/event, book them ASAP! They go above and beyond to make your event the absolute best it can be. You won’t be sorry!!

He also knew how to work the crowd, when to play more games or when to start the dancing. He is very organized and made sure that things kept moving along and on schedule. He played our ceremony music perfectly! We chose three different songs to blend together for the procession and he did that with ease. We mostly listen to indy/alt rock music and he had no problem getting those songs and played exactly what we wanted. The dance lighting was perfect for the reception and photographs PLUS he was open to special requests from guests! We booked early and were able to make monthly payments which worked beautifully for our budget! Dean made us feel confident and ready for our big day from day one. DJ Dean was one of our top compliments from the wedding. Guests, and even our photographer, raved about him days after the wedding!

We had so much fun talking to him during the first appointment and were drawn in by his energy, we didn't even try to meet up with any other DJs after that. He did an amazing job at the wedding. The music flowed perfectly at all stages and the games were a complete knockout. It was a great joy to me and my fiancée to see our friends and family playing the games and laughing and having a great time. We had many of our friends come to us personally and say they had a great time and a lot of fun. I attribute this mainly to Dean’s music, games and fantastic personality. I guarantee you will be hooked after one meeting with DJ Dean and if you book him it will make your wedding one to remember.

Dean works nights during the week so he is easy to meet up with for most people. We completed the homework he gave us and we had another 1 hour meeting about 1 month before the wedding. Dean is very methodical in his planning and has the entire event mapped out but is incredibly flexible to adjust. He takes really thorough notes for reference too. The music is wonderful and you get to choose the genres you want played as well as any specific songs you want. The games he plays are universally fun and can be played by all ages. Since our reception on Saturday, the first thing that most of our friends discuss is how wonderful the DJ was. Our parents (in their 70's) want to know what we are going to do for an encore. DJ Dean entertained 135 people for 4 hours. This was our one big lifetime event and Dean made it so memorable. Thank you Dean! I wish there was something above 5 stars, Dean deserves it.

My husband and I wed October 24, 2018. Our reception was on October 27, 2018 at Dave and Buster's in Orange, CA. Dean truly made our day stress free, fun, and enjoyable. Our guests of 135 were happily entertained with games hosted by Dean giving my husband and I a chance for sampling our appetizers off a plate Dean prepared for us, eat our lunch, and allowing us time to walk around to socialize one on one with our guests. The Dave and Buster's staff assigned to our event also mentioned they enjoyed our DJ and his games as well. In the days following, we have continued to receive amazing reviews about how exciting our wedding reception was along with the highest compliments directed to our DJ, Dean. The best compliment we get is from our parents who are in their 70's, who keep asking us how we are going to top this event! own! One of the first weddings I ever attended was when I was 14 years old, more specifically August 18, 2001. I don't remember much about this wedding since I was so young, except for one thing - the DJ. I remember sitting next to my mom and her telling me that I better get someone as good as this guy for my wedding one day. At that age, you think that you'll get married in just a few short years and live happily ever after so I agreed with her and that was that... now 17 years later... I'm finally happily engaged and ready to make the commitment. Choosing vendors is quite the process during the planning phase. I had already made the decision to use a DJ I had seen earlier this year at another wedding; however, when I called, my wedding date wasn't available for him. I was so bummed and I happened to mention it to my family that weekend and my brother (out of the freaking blue) said, "you should get the DJ from Kristy's wedding." I was shocked that he remembered the same DJ from 17 years ago. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that he could be an option for my own wedding. My brother happens to still be friends with the bride and texted her. She happened to still have her invoice from the DJ in 2001. Come to find out, he happens to still be in business. I called and he happens to have my wedding date available. Oh, and the best part of all, he "happens" to be one of the most sought-after DJ's in Orange County with his 30+ years of experience - DJ Dean Hall of Ultimate Events. The cherry on top is that when my fiancé and I went to visit this DJ that I swore was awesome at a wedding I went to when I was 14 (luckily my fiancé trusts my judgement), we left the meeting and immediately prayed about it and we agreed that if we pick him as our DJ then we would have zero worry about that aspect of our wedding. DJ Dean Hall really helped us see that day from a new perspective and we are so thankful for that. We are so excited that he will be there for our special day. He is enthusiastic, full of energy and extremely engaged. He had us thinking about things that we hadn't even discussed yet. His experience in this industry is evident from the moment you sit down. Our wedding was an ABSOLUTE BLAST and we've heard this from multiple people. DJ Dean Hall is not only a DJ, he is your full-house entertainer. If you want a wedding that is full of laughter and fun, this is your guy. I almost can't believe how blessed I was to have him a part of our wedding. He has only improved his skills over the years. And a huge perk is that he creates a timeline for you and goes over every single detail so you don't have ANY questions the day of the event. He had our guests laughing so hard with these creative games to keep them engaged. It was so wonderful as a bride to be able to talk to individual guests knowing that my other guests were being entertained. I'm so thankful and so happy with the way the day went. God is good!!! the wedding, we met with Dean and were able to hash out the entire flow of the reception- the songs that were going to be played and when, the order of events, and the games. Dean is so well-organized, which fits perfectly with us, as we are both extremely organized. We then had our final meeting a month before the wedding and after leaving that meeting, we knew the exact order of how everything was going to go. Dean helped us to relax and not have to worry about the flow of the reception because we knew that we were in great hands. On the day of the wedding, things could not have gone better! The songs were beautiful, the games were a hit, and Dean was hilarious! We had several people coming up to us at the end saying our wedding was the best one they have ever been to... Dean was more than just a DJ. He was also a comedian and an entertainer. He did a wonderful job at keeping the reception flowing. He was hilarious and kept the whole crowd laughing. Everything on our wedding day was perfect, and if you are looking into having a fantastic time at your wedding, Ultimate Events is the way to go! We highly recommend them!

The games were hilarious and fun and I got many compliments on our DJ. Even my now husband in the middle of the reception walked past my mom and said “wow this DJ is really good”. Also a couple weeks prior to the wedding I met with him and we went over the wedding schedule from start to finish. He really invest a lot of time and thought into each wedding. There were details and questions he had that I hadn’t even thought of but it really helped pull everything together. I was so so happy! He made my wedding such a blast for all of us!

ike and I not to have to worry about a thing. When first meeting Dean, Mike and I new it was Ultimate events who was going to DJ our wedding. Dean was fun to talk with and all details and cost were thoroughly explained, and there was no sales pressure. After all decisions were made everything agreed upon was laid out in a contract. Up until the wedding day there were several meetings over the phone to ensure that all details were in place and to make any last minute changes if needed. The day of the wedding, all music before and after the ceremony was just as we specified. During the reception guests were so blown away by Dean, some people are still talking about what a great time they had all because Dean made the reception fun, exciting, and he was engaged the entire evening. My brother, from Illinois, even asked Dean if he would fly to another stated to DJ an event. That is how awesome Dean is. All music play at the reception is what was asked for and there was no negative surprises. Dean also engaged all the guests in different games to keep everyone entertained. Our priority was that none of our guests would get bored and Dean certainly met that challenge. All the guests were engaged and I even witnessed a handful of guest who would never get up and dance do so. The reception was awesome and I would definitely hire Dean with Ultimate events again. Dean--"You are the BEST!!!" Mike and I are forever appreciative and thrilled that because of you our wedding turned out extra special and one in which we will never forget! Ultimate Events also took care of our Photo Booth so our guests could have even more fun. Props were provided and you could even bring your own to match your wedding theme. I had called another company who had great reviews, but they never returned my call (twice). I knew exactly who to look up because Dean was an acquaintance (classmate) from a long time ago, and somehow through connections I knew that he had been a DJ for many years with a successful business. Because of what I knew of his personality and (just as important) his character, integrity, artistic talent, experience, and work ethic, I knew he would be a fantastic choice for a DJ for my son’s wedding. Don’t let the fact that I knew him from before, sway you into thinking I HAD to write a nice review about him. Believe me, I wouldn’t have even called him up if I wasn’t convinced that he would do a fantastic job, because that would have put me in an awkward position if I wasn’t impressed and had to tell him “no” after talking/meeting with him. I wasn’t surprised after our first meeting that my son and his fiancée absolutely fell in love with him and even cancelled their meeting with another DJ they were going to look into so that they could grab Dean for their wedding day before he was booked with someone else! Dean is so much more than just a DJ. He can easily run the whole reception if you’d like him to, making everything flow smoothly, interacting appropriately with the guests without drawing too much attention to himself, making everyone feel welcome and involved, timing everything just right, being flexible about any adjustments you may want to make along the way, and making your guests laugh out loud many times with his great sense of humor and fun activities. A comment I heard from numerous guests is that he practically felt like family to them by the time the reception was over. Dean is very detail oriented, and you can tell that he genuinely cares about you and wants everything to be perfect for the bride and groom’s special day. He is never controlling but has so many good suggestions and ideas to make the reception meaningful, very fun, and tailored to the taste of the bride and groom as much as possible. His online tools are very helpful and easy to use. I promise you will not be disappointed if you hire Dean. In fact, you may end up hearing from many of your guests “that was definitely one of the best weddings I have ever been to”. I will recommend Dean without question to anyone looking for a fantastic DJ for their wedding day. He is as good as they get!
