Ultimate Events

d knowledgeable about his job, and had a keen ability to personalize things to our needs. What I liked about him most is that he respected what we (the bride & groom) wanted for our wedding. Which is a big "duh" but you'd be surprised how many DJs don't do that. We didn't want dancing during the reception (pandemic and all, and it's just not our thing) but we still wanted it to be fun and interactive for our guests, and Dean exceeded my expectations on making that possible. He has a great work ethic, and will take the time to walk you through the process of planning a great reception. One of my (picky) family members who's been to a lot of weddings said Dean was definitely one of the best MCs/DJs he's seen. If you're looking for a DJ, STOP LOOKING AND BOOK DEAN! He's amazing and you won't regret it. Many guests came up to me after the wedding and commented on how much fun they had, and it's largely thanks to Dean and his wonderful energy and charisma!

While his planning and coordinating with was great, his performance on the big day was excellent. Dean was the mighty foundation of the event, guiding the day through with his charisma in games, his adaptability, and throwing the best personalized dance party you could ask for. Our guests’ sentiment unanimously was that our reception was the best they had attended in years, specifically because Dean ensured there was never a dull moment and brought literal colors and life to the venue. Everything he had planned for the event was a smash hit, and we are beyond fortunate that he made our special day the perfect party!

ur guests to dance! He also has a great team that mans the photo booth.

zing job he did over a month later. He happily plays song requests, leads games and ice-breakers, and keeps the crowd entertained during down times with line dance instructions and trivia games. A flawless coordinator through your evening, he will ensure your event is stress-free and something for your guests to talk about for weeks to come!

awesome. Now that my fiancé and I are getting married, we've chosen him to be our DJ! :)

just how many details he would cover -- everything from pronouncing the wedding party names right, song timing, to the exact dance and atmosphere lighting the couple wanted. He was so incredibly thorough with the timing of the whole day and was truly the coordinator of the event in my eyes. He made sure the ceremony music and reception music was exactly what they wanted, that the timing of the evening went exactly according to plan, and made this backyard wedding feel so professionally planned and executed. He even had notes and pointers for the officiant, who was a friend so he didn't have experience. That alone was a life saver. The wedding guests LOVED him for his energy, games and icebreakers, and his humor. After making sure all the parts of the reception went according to plan, he spent the rest of the night taking our song requests -- which we had many -- and giving us a lot of time for tons of dancing! I had no idea how much work went into being a DJ and MC for a wedding until witnessing all the work that Dean did. The bride, groom, and myself as the maid of honor are all SO grateful for Ultimate Events and for Dean--for making the day so special and taking great care and pride in their work. THANK YOU!

ow our day went is an understatement. There were ALWAYS people on the dance floor which is not something I can say for a lot of weddings I have been to. He took guest song requests and really read the room well to keep people energized and dancing! Marc and I are not overly cheesy people so when Dean first brought up the idea of little games during the reception, we were skeptical. After talking with him about our concerns, he was able to completely tailor his ideas to fit our style and we wouldn’t have had our wedding any other way! I know this review is long but I really want to do them justice, so last thing! After going back and forth on whether we wanted a photo booth we ultimately decided we did want one and wow, I’m so glad we did! The attendant who was there (sorry I didn’t catch his name!) was so great and enthusiastic, every time I walked past there were always people there! Everyone had such a good time! If ultimate events is available for your wedding/event, book them ASAP! They go above and beyond to make your event the absolute best it can be. You won’t be sorry!!

ve to go to trivia nights and wanted to incorporate that into our wedding so Diana directed us immediately to Dean! Our guests LOVED the games he had and they made for some amazing, hilarious photos! He also knew how to work the crowd, when to play more games or when to start the dancing. He is very organized and made sure that things kept moving along and on schedule. He played our ceremony music perfectly! We chose three different songs to blend together for the procession and he did that with ease. We mostly listen to indy/alt rock music and he had no problem getting those songs and played exactly what we wanted. The dance lighting was perfect for the reception and photographs PLUS he was open to special requests from guests! We booked early and were able to make monthly payments which worked beautifully for our budget! Dean made us feel confident and ready for our big day from day one. DJ Dean was one of our top compliments from the wedding. Guests, and even our photographer, raved about him days after the wedding!

a excellent sense of the mood of the guests, and seemed to know what music to play, and what games would entertain the best. Dean stated that he had DJ'd a couple of thousand weddings, and showed. My wife and I would lucky to have him DJ our wedding. Highly recommended.

ortlessly though the planning process and makes any adjustments with ease. On the day of the wedding, Dean made everything so seamless from beginning to end. The music for the ceremony was magnificent and the activities during the reception created a wonderful and fun atmosphere that led into the post meal events and dancing. Everyone, of all ages, were extremely impressed and complementary of Dean's performance. All in attendance always bring up Dean when discussing our wonderful wedding celebration. If you are looking for the World Class DJ and wedding MC for your most important day, Dean and Ultimate Events is the top performer.

Ultimate Events. We read many reviews and decided to give Ultimate Events (DJ Dean) a try by setting up an appointment. This was one of the best planning decisions we made for the wedding. Our first meeting with DJ Dean had us hooked. We had so much fun talking to him during the first appointment and were drawn in by his energy, we didn't even try to meet up with any other DJs after that. He did an amazing job at the wedding. The music flowed perfectly at all stages and the games were a complete knockout. It was a great joy to me and my fiancée to see our friends and family playing the games and laughing and having a great time. We had many of our friends come to us personally and say they had a great time and a lot of fun. I attribute this mainly to Dean’s music, games and fantastic personality. I guarantee you will be hooked after one meeting with DJ Dean and if you book him it will make your wedding one to remember.

ice. We scheduled a meeting about 2 months before our wedding (the reception was 3 days later). We had a 2 + hour meeting to discuss what we wanted and Dean with his vast experience was able to build upon that as well as give us several other ideas. Dean works nights during the week so he is easy to meet up with for most people. We completed the homework he gave us and we had another 1 hour meeting about 1 month before the wedding. Dean is very methodical in his planning and has the entire event mapped out but is incredibly flexible to adjust. He takes really thorough notes for reference too. The music is wonderful and you get to choose the genres you want played as well as any specific songs you want. The games he plays are universally fun and can be played by all ages. Since our reception on Saturday, the first thing that most of our friends discuss is how wonderful the DJ was. Our parents (in their 70's) want to know what we are going to do for an encore. DJ Dean entertained 135 people for 4 hours. This was our one big lifetime event and Dean made it so memorable. Thank you Dean! I wish there was something above 5 stars, Dean deserves it.

ur research, starting with Yelp. Then I found more awesome reviews on The Knot website and we knew we had to meet Dean in person! When we met, we knew in a heartbeat he was our DJ! No need to interview anyone else, Dean was our guy! My husband and I wed October 24, 2018. Our reception was on October 27, 2018 at Dave and Buster's in Orange, CA. Dean truly made our day stress free, fun, and enjoyable. Our guests of 135 were happily entertained with games hosted by Dean giving my husband and I a chance for sampling our appetizers off a plate Dean prepared for us, eat our lunch, and allowing us time to walk around to socialize one on one with our guests. The Dave and Buster's staff assigned to our event also mentioned they enjoyed our DJ and his games as well. In the days following, we have continued to receive amazing reviews about how exciting our wedding reception was along with the highest compliments directed to our DJ, Dean. The best compliment we get is from our parents who are in their 70's, who keep asking us how we are going to top this event! Thank you Dean for your perfection in providing us with the BEST wedding reception our guests have ever attended! It is our BEST DAY EVER!

s. This year alone, there are six weddings and one of them is my own! One of the first weddings I ever attended was when I was 14 years old, more specifically August 18, 2001. I don't remember much about this wedding since I was so young, except for one thing - the DJ. I remember sitting next to my mom and her telling me that I better get someone as good as this guy for my wedding one day. At that age, you think that you'll get married in just a few short years and live happily ever after so I agreed with her and that was that... now 17 years later... I'm finally happily engaged and ready to make the commitment. Choosing vendors is quite the process during the planning phase. I had already made the decision to use a DJ I had seen earlier this year at another wedding; however, when I called, my wedding date wasn't available for him. I was so bummed and I happened to mention it to my family that weekend and my brother (out of the freaking blue) said, "you should get the DJ from Kristy's wedding." I was shocked that he remembered the same DJ from 17 years ago. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that he could be an option for my own wedding. My brother happens to still be friends with the bride and texted her. She happened to still have her invoice from the DJ in 2001. Come to find out, he happens to still be in business. I called and he happens to have my wedding date available. Oh, and the best part of all, he "happens" to be one of the most sought-after DJ's in Orange County with his 30+ years of experience - DJ Dean Hall of Ultimate Events. The cherry on top is that when my fiancé and I went to visit this DJ that I swore was awesome at a wedding I went to when I was 14 (luckily my fiancé trusts my judgement), we left the meeting and immediately prayed about it and we agreed that if we pick him as our DJ then we would have zero worry about that aspect of our wedding. DJ Dean Hall really helped us see that day from a new perspective and we are so thankful for that. We are so excited that he will be there for our special day. He is enthusiastic, full of energy and extremely engaged. He had us thinking about things that we hadn't even discussed yet. His experience in this industry is evident from the moment you sit down. I will update this post after my wedding to share about my own personal experience. Stay tuned... This is an update to my previous post. I'm almost speechless about what to say about this DJ. Our wedding was an ABSOLUTE BLAST and we've heard this from multiple people. DJ Dean Hall is not only a DJ, he is your full-house entertainer. If you want a wedding that is full of laughter and fun, this is your guy. I almost can't believe how blessed I was to have him a part of our wedding. He has only improved his skills over the years. And a huge perk is that he creates a timeline for you and goes over every single detail so you don't have ANY questions the day of the event. He had our guests laughing so hard with these creative games to keep them engaged. It was so wonderful as a bride to be able to talk to individual guests knowing that my other guests were being entertained. I'm so thankful and so happy with the way the day went. God is good!!! Thank you Ultimate Events!!!

d His personality was energetic ! Your DJ literally runs the whole wedding from start to finish and i wouldnt Have wanted anyone else doing that but Dean !!!!!!

everything and communicated so well with us. A few months before the wedding, we met with Dean and were able to hash out the entire flow of the reception- the songs that were going to be played and when, the order of events, and the games. Dean is so well-organized, which fits perfectly with us, as we are both extremely organized. We then had our final meeting a month before the wedding and after leaving that meeting, we knew the exact order of how everything was going to go. Dean helped us to relax and not have to worry about the flow of the reception because we knew that we were in great hands. On the day of the wedding, things could not have gone better! The songs were beautiful, the games were a hit, and Dean was hilarious! We had several people coming up to us at the end saying our wedding was the best one they have ever been to... Dean was more than just a DJ. He was also a comedian and an entertainer. He did a wonderful job at keeping the reception flowing. He was hilarious and kept the whole crowd laughing. Everything on our wedding day was perfect, and if you are looking into having a fantastic time at your wedding, Ultimate Events is the way to go! We highly recommend them!

s weddings I would probably have felt the same way, but DJ dean is so good about feeling out the crowd and finding windows if opportunity and adding some ice breakers to make everyone feel comfortable. The games were hilarious and fun and I got many compliments on our DJ. Even my now husband in the middle of the reception walked past my mom and said “wow this DJ is really good”. Also a couple weeks prior to the wedding I met with him and we went over the wedding schedule from start to finish. He really invest a lot of time and thought into each wedding. There were details and questions he had that I hadn’t even thought of but it really helped pull everything together. I was so so happy! He made my wedding such a blast for all of us!

have asked for anyone better than Dean. He helped us with all the details from the dance floor lighting to the fun photo booth for our guests! Excellent service overall and I would absolutely recommend Ultimate Events!

n didn't miss a beat every step of the way allowing my husband Mike and I not to have to worry about a thing. When first meeting Dean, Mike and I new it was Ultimate events who was going to DJ our wedding. Dean was fun to talk with and all details and cost were thoroughly explained, and there was no sales pressure. After all decisions were made everything agreed upon was laid out in a contract. Up until the wedding day there were several meetings over the phone to ensure that all details were in place and to make any last minute changes if needed. The day of the wedding, all music before and after the ceremony was just as we specified. During the reception guests were so blown away by Dean, some people are still talking about what a great time they had all because Dean made the reception fun, exciting, and he was engaged the entire evening. My brother, from Illinois, even asked Dean if he would fly to another stated to DJ an event. That is how awesome Dean is. All music play at the reception is what was asked for and there was no negative surprises. Dean also engaged all the guests in different games to keep everyone entertained. Our priority was that none of our guests would get bored and Dean certainly met that challenge. All the guests were engaged and I even witnessed a handful of guest who would never get up and dance do so. The reception was awesome and I would definitely hire Dean with Ultimate events again. Dean--"You are the BEST!!!" Mike and I are forever appreciative and thrilled that because of you our wedding turned out extra special and one in which we will never forget! Ultimate Events also took care of our Photo Booth so our guests could have even more fun. Props were provided and you could even bring your own to match your wedding theme. I had called another company who had great reviews, but they never returned my call (twice). At the end of the day, it was less stressful having Ultimate Events take care of everything and Mike and I are glad we did. We will always recommend your company. All our Best!!! ~Debbie & Mike

my help in finding a DJ for their wedding which took place this past June (2018). I knew exactly who to look up because Dean was an acquaintance (classmate) from a long time ago, and somehow through connections I knew that he had been a DJ for many years with a successful business. Because of what I knew of his personality and (just as important) his character, integrity, artistic talent, experience, and work ethic, I knew he would be a fantastic choice for a DJ for my son’s wedding. Don’t let the fact that I knew him from before, sway you into thinking I HAD to write a nice review about him. Believe me, I wouldn’t have even called him up if I wasn’t convinced that he would do a fantastic job, because that would have put me in an awkward position if I wasn’t impressed and had to tell him “no” after talking/meeting with him. I wasn’t surprised after our first meeting that my son and his fiancée absolutely fell in love with him and even cancelled their meeting with another DJ they were going to look into so that they could grab Dean for their wedding day before he was booked with someone else! Dean is so much more than just a DJ. He can easily run the whole reception if you’d like him to, making everything flow smoothly, interacting appropriately with the guests without drawing too much attention to himself, making everyone feel welcome and involved, timing everything just right, being flexible about any adjustments you may want to make along the way, and making your guests laugh out loud many times with his great sense of humor and fun activities. A comment I heard from numerous guests is that he practically felt like family to them by the time the reception was over. Dean is very detail oriented, and you can tell that he genuinely cares about you and wants everything to be perfect for the bride and groom’s special day. He is never controlling but has so many good suggestions and ideas to make the reception meaningful, very fun, and tailored to the taste of the bride and groom as much as possible. His online tools are very helpful and easy to use. I promise you will not be disappointed if you hire Dean. In fact, you may end up hearing from many of your guests “that was definitely one of the best weddings I have ever been to”. I will recommend Dean without question to anyone looking for a fantastic DJ for their wedding day. He is as good as they get!

His energetic personality livened up the evening and I couldn't have been happier with him. He got the entire crowd out of their seats and his jokes and games had everyone laughing. During the planning process, he made sure even the smallest of details were noted. I'd have a wedding again just to have him there. Thank you Dean for going above and beyond at our wedding.

pbeat and friendly personality, and his experience, demeanor, music, and creative ideas enhanced our reception greatly. Dean has a wonderful 'what to do list' and 'need to know information list' that he gives to each client as well as song lists that allowed us to listen to the music, and make personalized selections. He also provided beautiful uplighting and disco lighting. He is very detail-oriented and with all the information he obtained in our meetings and through email communications, he MC'd the reception in the classy and fun manner we hoped for. Dean Hall is a true DJ artist who never made the reception about himself, but instead, centered the entire evening around the celebration and the celebrants of our daughter and new son-in-law's wedding reception. Thank you, Dean, for a perfect evening beyond our expectations. We are so glad we found you - and while we have no more weddings to plan, when we have other parties requiring a DJ, you will be our only choice! Thank you!

married I want him to be my Dj, and I am so grateful I was able to find him again. It was an honor to have him, from the beginning of our ceremony to the end of the night he had everything going so smooth. He keep our guests on their feet and he made EVERYTHING memorable. It wasn’t just the music that was awesome, it was the guest interaction the games and laughs. Dean we thank you so much for being available for us you gave us all the keys to having an amazing wedding, your list of songs and timeline truly made everything a million times easier!

de us proud that we even found him! heh:) To start with, they have a showroom so they can show you the equipment that they will use for your event, as well as to meet with you personally for your initial consultation. He was nice enough to include some lights to the package for free which we soooo appreciate. Best part, DJ Dean is an amazing DJ/Emcee! His song selections are fantastic since everyone in our wedding were able to dance and have fun, regardless of age. His icebreakers are sooo much fun and made our wedding lively. Best of all, he has a really fun and witty personality which was exactly what we were looking for! Next time we need a DJ, we would not think twice about hiring him again. Thank you!

were taken care I had the pleasure of having Dj Steven.... He was attentive, professional, and knew just how to keep my guests entertained he was amazing and I will definitely use him and Ultimate events if ever needed for an event. Once again thank you for making my day super special......worth the money

he Hacienda in Santa Ana. They were always encouraging and accommodating! We had enough trust in them and their combined professional experiences to "let go". They made some great recommendations for the layout which worked out perfectly on the day. DJ Don did an AMAZING job! He involved the guests and made sure everyone was having a great time! We have received glowing praise after our wedding from so many of our guests telling us they loved how interactive because of Don. I'm so grateful that they helped make this day memorable for us and our friends and family! Thank you so much, Ultimate Events!

ter and his never-ending great ideas for the reception. He did not disappoint. All of our guests were laughing throughout the night thanks to Dean’s fun and interactive games. He thoughtfully listened to all of our requests during the planning process and was patient with our last-minute additions. He was great at keeping the pace of the reception flowing smoothly, took time to check in with us, and kept everyone happy. He is one-of-a-kind and we are so thankful for all of his hard work at our wedding.

ual day of the event. Dean worked with us as well as our venue and other vendors to help plan every major and minor detail. He listened to our ideas and offered many of his own. Our wedding was on the smaller side, and one of our main concerns was that the energy level would be lower than at larger weddings we had been to in the past. Dean did such a fantastic job as emcee that this turned out not to be a problem at all. He created the exact energy level we were hoping for, saying the right things, playing the right music, hosting games and just in general making the reception a great time for us and our guests. We saw our guests cracking up with laughter, and getting up to dance and have fun, and we couldn’t have been happier with the way the event unfolded. Dean was a pleasure to work with. We would absolutely ask for Dean again for future events and we give him our strongest possible endorsement.

dealt with boring, unsupportive, insensitive, DJs who lack in experience and professionalism but with DJ Dean it was such a positive, fun, energetic, and very memorable experience. Dean sets the standard in how a DJ should be, for which he sets a very high bar. It's not just about the music (which he had every song ever created), but it's about having the right entertainment and energy to make an unforgettable party. He is incredibly creative, especially with the activities he provides. Everyone loved the uplights, dance lights and photo booth. Our wedding was amazing because of him. Our guests approached us during and after the event desperate to know how they could be in touch with DJ Dean. The compliments were endless! Our guests had so much fun and surprisingly, even the more quiet guests were jumping out of their seats in excitement during our wedding reception. I could go on to say more positive qualities, but will probably run out of room here. - I look forward to working with DJ dean again in the future and highly recommend him!

e reason why we decided to go with Ultimate events. I'm so happy that we did! After the day of the wedding, all of my friends and family were talking about how it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I owe it all to Dean and Ultimate Events!

my guest were extremely impressed. I have to mention that I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and have seen and expereinced many DJ's in this time frame and I have to say Dean all is the best ever! Mother of the Bride and a Fan Forever!!!

hrough, was very thorough, and put in extra effort to accommodate our fairly unusual music requests for our ceremony. He is also just a very friendly and fun guy. He was born to DJ and bring the fun to parties! Our guests loved him. He had great charisma during the "table release" game. Could not have asked for a more fun DJ for our wedding! Thank you Dean! We will never forget you!

ance floor in a way I dreamed of but never believed could happen. He had our guests laughing, interacting, and loving the entire night. We received so many fantastic comments about him and we are so grateful for him!! He is easy to work with, knowledgable, and so much energy! He not only provided his DJ services but did uplighting at the venue. It totally transformed the reception and made it special! So happy we hired Dean!!!!

wedding itself was great. A bunch of our guests have told us how great he was without us even asking. He made sure our guests had fun. We 100% recommend Dean

imate events may be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. We have people from the wedding still saying it’s the best wedding they have ever been to. People continue to say “the DJ was awesome, he made the wedding perfect.” Having an amazing DJ is one of the most important factors in your wedding. Not only was he an excellent DJ for the day of the wedding but he was very prompt in answering any emails or text and made sure to address all my concerns for the big day. He offered to have in-person and telephone meetings whenever we needed in order to make us feel confident for the day of the wedding. Dean made the event flow so smoothly and his hilarious ice breaker games had the guest laughing hysterically. I am so grateful we went with Dean!!!

lad we did. Dean made it all happen and our reception looked amazing! The music he played was perfect for our very diverse group of guests, and kept EVERYONE dancing all night. Especially myself and I. Dont. Dance. Thanks Dean!!!

ove during the planning of our reception. He has great ideas planned throughout the evening and was able to keep all of our guests engaged and laughing. We were told by so many guests afterwards that our wedding was one of the best weddings they had been to. I honestly believe his involvement in our wedding made it the fun night it was. He truly made our special day one that we will forever cherish.

decision we made. He had the whole group entertained throughout the whole time. Dean went above and beyond what we were expecting. I loved that he was always available for us during the planning and would always find a convenient time for us to meet him. During the wedding we had so many comments about how amazing he was and we couldn't agree more! Dean is absolutely the best and I would recommend him to EVERYONE! Save your date with him NOW he will book up fast and was worth every dime!

bride, but I have also never sought out a bride and groom at a wedding to tell them, "THIS IS THE BEST WEDDING I HAVE EVER BEEN TO" and by the end of the night my husband and I lost track of how many people had told us that. At the beginning of our wedding planning process, my husband and I sat down and tried to prioritize what was most important to us about our wedding day. We both agreed that the most important thing to us was for our guests to have a really fun time. We made that our number one goal, and then hashed out our budget accordingly. If having the most fun wedding ever is part of your wedding day vision, hiring Dean has to be a given. Our wedding was FLAWLESS from the ceremony music, to the toasts, to the GAMES (my face hurt from laughing so hard), to the card time capsules (best idea ever - thank you Dean!), to the spotlight dances, to the dance floor. Flawless. So fun. This guy was seriously put on this planet to make your wedding the best one ever. Few people ever end up as good at their jobs as Dean is. That's just a fact.

ur expectations by far, and created a perfect atmosphere that was fun and exciting the entire time. We are so happy that we had him for our special day. Dean is amazing at what he does and I promise you would love him too. Danny and Jen Zavatsky

st, and not be a cheesy DJ. By the end of the night, everyone was commenting on how great he was. I would highly recommend Ultimate Events to a friend and anyone who is planning a wedding.

d and dancing the whole entire time! He evens does the wedding coordinating during the event which was a huge help! He was there throughout the whole process answering any questions we had and was always available via email or phone. We even had last minute changes to our ceremony and he had no problems working with us and making everything happen that we wanted! He is simply the best and if you want to have the best DJ and wedding ever, hire Dean and Ultimate Events! I promise you, you won't regret it!!

, loves what he does and it shows. Dean is very organized and made all the planning easy on us, especially since we were planning a wedding from across the country. He was able to accommodate any request we had and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted for our wedding day. He is full of great ideas to get guests energized and he tailored them to our taste. The thing I loved the most about Dean is that he made sure we (the bride and groom) were having a great time. He did a fantastic job of communicating the plan not only to us but to the wedding party, parents, wedding venue and anyone else involved which we were appreciative of because it was one less thing we had to worry about. He kept our guests entertained all night from the ceremony straight through the last song. We highly recommend Dean!

, and is NEVER condescending- even with picky brides. Dean has such a warm and upbeat air about him, he kept my brunch wedding reception light and flowing like I wanted, but still brought the party when it was time to hit the dance floor. He has really fun ideas to incorporate games to do centerpiece give-aways and can really bring a crowd together. Everybody loved him and I can't recommend him enough. Thank you for making our day Dean!
