About this vendor
Consider this your permission to get married differently.
Uncharted Elopements is an all-in-one elopement team for non-traditional couples who want the planning, logistics, photography, and videography handled in one place.
We help you find an incredible location that fits what you’re envisioning, navigate the permits and logistics, build a timeline around how you actually want to spend your day, connect you with vendors who fit the experience, and make it official with an officiant already on your team.
And when the day finally gets here? You get to actually experience it while we document the whole story through photography and videography. Not by turning your wedding into an elaborate photoshoot or production, but by capturing the big moments alongside all the quiet, hilarious, emotional, unexpected, epic moments happening in between.
You don’t need to come to us with the location picked, the timeline built, or every detail figured out. Bring us the “could we actually do this?” idea. We’ll help turn it into an actual place, an actual plan, and a wedding day built around who you are, not a checklist of what your wedding is supposed to look like.
You bring the vision. We help you plan it, experience it, and remember it.

It actually took me a while to write this review, simply because I couldn’t find the right words to fully capture how incredible this team truly is and how much they meant to us on...
our wedding day.
From the moment we got engaged, there was never a question about who we wanted as our photographer. We had been following Allison for years, and I always knew that if the day ever came, she would be the one capturing it.
When we finally reached out a few years later, Allison was everything we had hoped for and so much more. She is one of the most humble, genuine, creative, and down-to-earth people we have ever met. From the very beginning, it was clear that she pours her whole heart into what she does. She doesn’t just show up to take photos — she truly cares about bringing your vision to life and making your day feel exactly the way you dreamed it would. And she absolutely delivers.
Throughout the entire planning process, Allison, Matt, and Sam were always there for us. Any question we had, any idea we wanted to talk through, they were there with guidance, patience, and so much kindness. We met several times leading up to the wedding, and every conversation left me feeling more calm, more confident, and more excited. They helped with everything from the timeline, to locations, to making sure the entire day felt intentional and meaningful.
The one thing my husband and I wanted most on our wedding day was peace. We didn’t want stress or chaos — we just wanted to be present and soak in every moment.
And Allison, Sabrina, and Matt gave us exactly that.
I truly cannot imagine our wedding day going any smoother or feeling any more effortless. Allison was constantly checking in on me, fixing my dress, making sure everything looked perfect, and just quietly making everything run seamlessly behind the scenes. Sabrina was my personal hype woman all day long — lifting me up, making me laugh, and reminding me to soak in every moment. Matt was there capturing everything so beautifully for our film, making sure that every meaningful moment was preserved.
They weren’t just vendors that day — they became part of the experience, part of the memories, and honestly felt like friends.
Even now, my family talks about them almost daily since the wedding. That alone says so much about the energy, kindness, and care they bring with them.
And then there are the photos.
Not only are they some of the kindest and most hardworking people you will ever meet, but the art they create is truly breathtaking. The lighting, the emotion, the storytelling in every image — it all perfectly captured the feeling of our day. Nothing ever felt forced or awkward. Everything felt natural, comfortable, and real, which allowed us to just be ourselves and enjoy every moment.
Looking through our photos brings us right back to those feelings all over again, and that is a gift I will cherish forever.
Choosing Uncharted Elopements was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day — second only to marrying my husband, of course.
If you have the opportunity to work with them, know that you are not just hiring photographers or videographers. You are gaining a team of people who care deeply about your story and who will go above and beyond to make your day unforgettable.
And for that, we will be forever grateful.
My elopement could not have been more perfect, seriously. Thanks to a kick ass team that was able to piece every bit of it together from start to finish. From the quick responses, ...
taking insane request, day of planning, easing our minds when needed, communication, location plan outs and time stamps, editing ect!! I really could go on and on. Besides our elopement being the best day, the second best day really was receiving our photos back from Uncharted Elopements. The perfect team to make the dream work. I have had so many people reaching out to inquire about my photos and videos. We also got to announce our elopement with a short curated video vs photos which was probably my favorite part. So unique and so us. They truly captured our day and not only just being photographer and videographers but also travel companions and good company, a day of event planner, and basically a travel planner as well lol. Going to Washington state and eloping was the best decision we ever made because of you guys and we thank you endlessly. If you want your elopement to stand out from the rest I highly recommend them.
If I could give Allison and Matt 10 stars, I would! We have watched Allison grow Uncharted Elopements from the very beginning and her talents have multiplied. They photographed our...
daughter’s wedding in Glacier National Park and the entire experience was seamless from our first contact with them. Thank you for capturing our daughter’s dream wedding!
Allison was amazing!! We got married at Glacier National Park and she was so knowledgable about all the best places. It was even extra challenging with heavy fog and some rain. But...
Allison was great at finding the best epic spots and angles, not to mention quelling my worry about the weather. And she was shooting with 2 cameras while on horseback! She was the absolute best from start to finish. Reach out if you're ever in NW Arkansas!
Uncharted Elopements made our wedding day feel like a dream we never wanted to wake up from. They didn’t just show up and do a job — they poured their hearts into every single part...
of our elopement, and it showed.
Allison, our coordinator and photographer, is one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. She has this amazing ability to anticipate your needs before you even know you have them. When I had a last-minute change of heart about our ceremony location the night before, she was on it without a second thought. Her calmness kept me grounded, and her enthusiasm made me excited rather than stressed. During our photos, she gave us fun prompts and questions that made us laugh, cry, and feel completely connected. She knew when to step back and let us just be in the moment, and when to gently guide us into a pose. And the fact that she sent us sneak peek photos within hours — that’s just who she is.
Matt, our tattoo artist and videographer, brought such a fun, relaxed energy to the day. He had us giggling through our nerves, and he took the time to get the kind of footage that will make our wedding video a true reflection of us. Recording our vows beforehand and answering his heartfelt interview questions made the day feel even more personal. On top of that, the tattoos he designed for us are works of art we’ll treasure forever.
Even our family couldn’t stop complimenting them. Everyone felt taken care of, every moment felt meaningful, and I never once had to check the clock or worry about what was next. They allowed us to live fully in the moment, and that is a gift I’ll always be grateful for.
Allison and Sam absolutely blew us away with their talent, seamless planning, and fun, easygoing energy at our intimate wedding in Belize. They were troopers and so down for all of...
all of our fishing and boat adventures we had planned to celebrate our marriage. They made everything feel effortless and even sent us the most amazing sneak peek photos just hours after our special day. We’re in awe of how they captured every moment so beautifully—exactly as it was, and somehow even better. After two full days of filming with them at our adventurous wedding weekend, we absolutely cannot wait to see the video and are so grateful to have these incredible memories to cherish forever! THANK YOU! If you are considering photog/video for your day, it is moreee than worth it with Uncharted Elopements. (p.s. this website isn't uploading my photos in this review for some reason, but check out their instagram and you will not be disappointed!!)
Allison truly exceeded every expectation we had, despite already hearing such glowing praise about her. From the moment we expressed interest in eloping, she was always available, ...
communicative, and eager to answer every question we had. What stood out most was the time she took to genuinely get to know us as a couple. This personal touch helped create the most perfect day, tailored specifically to us. She encouraged us to follow our hearts and embrace what mattered most to us—and she celebrated our decisions every step of the way.
On the day of, Allison was nothing short of amazing. She was friendly, warm, and made us feel so comfortable, turning the whole experience into something even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better person to share it with.
We can’t recommend Allison (and her wonderful team) enough! They are committed to making your wedding day all about you—your love, your vision, and your unique story. And the photos? Absolutely stunning! We’ll cherish them forever.

If I could rate more than a 5/5 I would! When planning our secret elopement we wanted to go to a place that was on both of our bucket lists that we wouldn't usually visit with our ...
very young children. We each made a list of about 10 places and from there we narrowed it down to 3.
Being the planner I am I immediately started looking for photographers out West to help us narrow our location down from our top 3 to our final decision. After seeing a few different photographers work and the views and activities available in Moab we finally decided on our location. I set up 5 phone calls for the week with different photographers in hopes we'd find the perfect one. Our second phone call was with Allison and from there I knew I could immediately cancel the 3 remaining calls.
She checked off all of the boxes on what we were looking for. She was down (and very excited) for taking 2 am photos under the stars following our wedding day coverage and didn't even bat an eye about not getting to sleep at all. She also made our dream come true of wedding band tattoo photo coverage, as well as getting our tattoos done onsight at our ceremony spot by her amazing fiancee.
Upon meeting her in person it felt like we had known her forever. There was no awkwardness that most people worry about and she's extremely kind and funny! Our experience with her left us with the most stunning pictures that we have not stopped staring at since getting them back. She was extremely knowledgable about beautiful and off the path locations for our ceremony and I am forever thankful for that. There was no stress with planning as she also provides the timeline for the day. It was so nice to just get to focus on packing, travel, and lodging and following her lead from there. When we did need something her communication was excellent and she always had extremely helpful suggestions.
I could not say enough amazing things about her but I will include some of our mind-blowing photos so you can see for yourselves how incredible she is.
I chose Uncharted Elopements for my engagement pictures and they did not disappoint! My fiancé and I are from NOLA, so we traveled all the way to Phoenix to get photos of us in the...
desert and mountains. I was super anxious about traveling so far and to basically the middle of nowhere, but Allison and Abby were happy to jump on a call with me beforehand and answer my fifty'leven thousand questions. Abby conducted the shoot itself, and it was very clear she knew what she was doing and was experienced shooting in the area. She directed our poses, hyped us up, and even carried my bag with an extra pair of shoes around! She was super patient & friendly and made the entire experience enjoyable and fun for us. As for the photos, they turned out AMAZING! Allison delivered over 200 of them to us & they all capture our love to the fullest. I have been dropping these in every group chat. 100000/10 recommend Uncharted Elopements!

e we were in the best hands possible. Throughout the entire journey, from planning to the hike up Cathedral Rock, she was with us every step of the way, ensuring that every detail was perfect.
Her creativity and attention to detail were astounding, and her ability to capture the essence of our love story left us speechless. She not only took breathtaking photos but also helped create an atmosphere of joy and love that will be with us forever.
Thanks to her incredible talent, kindness and support, our elopement day became more than we ever dreamed it could be. We are endlessly grateful for her dedication and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer who truly cares about making every moment unforgettable.
Thank you thank you thank you infinitely!
By far the best decision when it came to our wedding (other than marrying my husband of course) was hiring Allison as our photographer! She took most of the stress we all know and ...
love when planning our special day away because she is there every step of the way to help you plan and make sure the day of runs smoothly. On top of that she made all of my bride dreams come true with this epic day and these photos she captured. I have so many that I love it’s so hard to choose which ones to display in our home and I love that! She is truly truly amazing at her job and I will forever be grateful to her for helping us make our wedding day about us. Her work speaks for itself and to top it off she’s truly a genuine and wonderful person. Don’t hesitate - hire her - add to cart - and make your wedding what you’ve always dreamed of! Thank you again Allison! -Mallorie and Zac

sure how to structure our ceremony and got to know us as a couple while we hiked for our private pictures. AND THE PICTURES are breathtaking. From the small details like the invites, shoes, jewelry -to the big ones like every stinkin mountain in Zion. Allison was a dream to work with. We can’t thank you enough for being just as much apart of our day as our family and friends. You’re the best!!

son was excellent! Once we had an idea of what we wanted, Allision provided many great ideas and locations to make our special day memorable. She answered all our questions and always kept in touch leading up to the day. We enjoyed working with Abby on that day, who was fantastic. She was so friendly and made the adventure a lifetime experience. Thank you, Abby, for being part of our special day! We received the teaser photos in less than 48 hours, and they were breathtaking. Allison and her team are amazing, and I highly recommend you check them out. Thank you again, Allison and Abby!!

ut she also helped us pick a beautiful sunset location to say our private vows, have our first dance and just take in our wedding day! Her planning support prior to the wedding day and general spirit and outgoing nature on our wedding day was exactly what we wanted to enjoy our elopement! A few days following our wedding, Allison sent over the most EPIC sneak peek pictures from our day!! We were completely blown away by the images she captured and honestly I did not know we could look as good as we did!! All our friends and family told us the pictures look straight out of a magazine and they aren't wrong! We absolutely made the best decision in hiring Allison and her team for our wedding and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who is looking to do something outside of tradition for their wedding :)

he most authentic to us and elope. She was a joy to work with from the very beginning, and she made the planning process seamless and stress-free. She presented us with lots of great ideas for locations, and provided us with all of the resources we needed to prepare for an adventure elopement. The day of our wedding, she kept us and our families on schedule and guided us each step of the way which allowed us all to enjoy the day without worrying about a thing. And of course, her talent as a photographer speaks for itself in all of the stunning photos you see here and on her website. She is truly an expert at what she does and such a lovely person to work with, we could not be happier with our experience with her!!

Our pictures are stunning. Allison is an incredible landscape photographer and captured our day very well. She underpromised and over delivered with the sneak peak pictures and timeline for final delivery of everything. Additionally, Allison had an assistant with her that we were not expecting to help capture candid moments through the day. Such a pleasant surprise!
We highly recommend Allison as she is very easy to work with, responsive, and takes stunning pictures. We would not have changed a thing about our experience.

o we could get our dream wedding location shoots. She also explained in detail to us what we needed to do and sent us a very informative book going over typical elopement packing/planning. At times she was more like a wedding planner giving us lots of information on photo spots around the island. She definitely went above and beyond to help us with anything we asked her help with. She has a lot of experience doing these kinds of fun wedding elopements. On the day of our wedding, she came prepared and on time. We had a big rainstorm the night before and she helped communicate a new plan for the day that would still give us everything we wanted. Hanging out with her during our wedding day felt like we were hanging out with a friend we had known for years! She would ask us genuine thought-provoking questions about the two of us and really emphasize that this was our day to do what we wanted. She is organized and easy to talk to, and she's an incredible photographer! She took the time to tell the full story of our day not just the beautiful scenic pictures but the behind-the-scenes too. All our friends and family can't believe how gorgeous our wedding photos came back! I'm so glad we chose Allison to help us capture our wedding day. Thank you, Allison

ing stream of questions, and made planning our Arizona wedding from Virginia a very easy and enjoyable process! She was not only extremely flexible in the creation of our perfect day, but also offered suggestions and her expertise, which was always greatly appreciated. Besides being insanely talented and accomplished, the coolest thing about Allison is her genuine personality. She offered a fun yet organized presence on the day of our wedding, and made us feel at ease and as though we were just pals spending a perfect day together! I will never be able to adequately express my gratitude for the moments that were created and captured, but am eternally grateful for the images that we have to remember them by. We ended our day feeling completely fulfilled and enchanted by the pure magic and Allison and her team helped us create!
We are beyond happy with our experience using Allison as our elopement photographer and officiant. Allison was extremely organized, professional, and positive from day one. Allison...
put a lot of effort into her research on locations, permits, hair and makeup, flowers, etc. for our elopement day. This made our whole experience stress free, giving us the opportunity to truly enjoy each other and the experiences throughout the day. We were a little nervous about getting photographed and feeling awkward; but Allison somehow made it feel very natural and we quickly forgot about the pressure of being photographed. We feel so grateful to find a photographer who was willing to wake up at the crack of dawn for a sunrise ceremony, brave the crazy Kauai weather changes, and adventure up a mountain for sunset to complete the perfect vision of our wedding day. We are so in love with our photographs and will cherish them and the memories of that day for the rest of our lives. We highly recommend Allison to any couple who want to make their wedding day as special and stress free as ours was.
Where do I even begin. The amount of gratitude I have for Allison and her incredible work ethic is beyond words.
To put it simply, I was one of those brides struggling through eve...
ry single part of planning a traditional wedding. I absolutely hated the process and very quickly realized I preferred to leave "traditions" at the door and do things MY WAY. This meant marrying my soul mate in the most intimate of settings, just him and I, with no worries or cares in the world other than enjoying every minute of that day.
That's where Allison came in and swept us away. My husband and I did a ton of research on elopement planners & photographers and we finally found our perfect fit, Allison. She fit our personalities, values and energy which made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. She helped us find our perfect adventure elopement location (Iceland) and took care of all the details of making that day perfect for us (planning every location we would visit and explore, timing, finding me a local hair and make up artist and the list goes on forever). Not to mention, she even crafted a perfect "post-elopement" photoshoot experience for us for the next morning where she captured the most wonderful newlywed looks and emotions from the both of us.
She truly went above and beyond and ensured that we had the most wonderful experience possible in the most iconic place on earth.
Her work is just as incredible. I have never come across more epic and beautiful wedding photography in my life. I still struggle to realize the photos she took are of my husband and I!
Don't believe me? take a look yourself!
THANK YOU ALLISON, A MILLION TIMES THANK YOU!
I’ve known Allison since grade school. Although she eventually moved out of state, I’ve followed her along on social media and truly enjoyed watching her business grow. Before I me...
t my husband and had no ambitions on getting married myself, I still found myself in awe looking at her photos.
Several months before my husband and I were engaged, I showed him her instagram page and he was genuinely impressed. Normally when I’d show him something wedding related… especially before we were engaged… he wasn’t interested. Can’t say I blame him.
Later on when we were (finally) engaged, we originally wanted to have a traditional wedding.
After a many weeks of no sleep and becoming very overwhelmed, we decided to put our plans on hold. Until…. I came across a breathtaking elopement photo Allison shared from Sedona. In that moment I decided that’s what we were doing. I told my husband and he obviously was all for it!
From the moment I reached out to Allison about doing our elopement, everything was such a breath of fresh air.
From locking down the location (Dolomites, Italy) to mapping everything out, she made things effortless and exciting. When we finally got together in person, she was professional but very easy going and fun to be around. She was creative when coming up with ways to make us laugh and not feel awkward for some of those more intimate shots. Although it was the three of us that day, she was also intentional about giving us moments where it felt like it really was just the two of us.
We recently got our entire album of photos and we are over the moon happy with them. Our family and friends have said they look like they belong in wedding magazines. The icing on the cake has been having those who originally were not in support of us eloping, turn around and say if they could go back in time, they would have done what we did…. ;)
Do NOT hesitate when it comes to choosing Allison as your photographer. You’ll walk away with an experience of a life time, and a new best friend. Thank you Allison. We miss you already!
She was so friendly and welcoming! She made us feel incredibly comfortable during the entire process. We were so nervous, having never done professional photos before, but she put ...
us completely at ease. Her photography is AMAZING! I get so many compliments on my photos. I will cherish them forever and already have some hanging in my home. Allison is also so professional and accommodating. In addition to doing our engagement photos in Sedona, Arizona, she met up with us twice in Europe for beautiful pictures in the Dolomites and Venice, Italy. I can't say enough positive things about her. If you want once-in-a-lifetime amazing photos with the most down-to-earth person, I recommend Allison.

milies, and it was really hard knowing that in “following our hearts”, we were disappointing our families. But at the end of the day, we are SO GLAD WE DID. Allison provided us with SO much helpful information and support throughout the whole process. You can tell she’s done this many times, in that she has a system and plan for everything. I remember reading her website and feeling like she really understood the experience of a couple choosing to elope. I also really loved the process of finding our location, answering questions about my partner and I, and feeling present and intentional about planning our day. I’ll never forget the feeling I had pulling up to our ceremony site, after the very remote and bumpy journey, like we were truly in the privacy of nature and in front of one of the most BEAUTIFUL VIEWS I’ve ever seen in my life. My partner and I looked at each other and said, “Yep, no regrets.” And I know that it would not have been possible without Allison. She is so warm, genuine, and strikes the perfect balance of taking charge and giving space. We are so happy with our photos and most importantly, the memories of our adventure.

r special day.
Long story short, we ended up having 3 special days. Our “legal” wedding day at our local courthouse, our elopement and exchanging of vows with Allison in Utah and then a wedding celebration with friends and family back home.
My husband and I spent hours scrolling and looking at options for a photographer that could capture our exchanging of vows with our families in Zion National Park.
We ended up landing on Allison Slater’s website and fell in love with her work.
From day 1 of reaching out to Allison for more info to receiving our entire photo gallery, it was such a interactive and unforgettable experience.
She was in constant communication with us from location selection to vendor recommendations, she covered it all in the time leading up to our elopement.
On our elopement day, Allison came to the AirBnb where I was getting ready, and I felt like we had known each other for forever.
She was so kind and personable. You could instantly tell that she is passionate about her work. She instantly put my nerves at ease and made sure our day played out exactly as we had planned.
We recently received our entire gallery and we are blown away.
Sharing our photos with our friends and family have made my heart so happy. She truly captured our day so that our memories will last a lifetime.

nd moments she captures are absolutely breathtaking. I remember the first phone call like it was yesterday and Allison has such a fun, vibrant, and cool personality that I knew she'd be someone we'd be comfortable photographing our intimate wedding in Sedona and have a ton of fun.
She really is more than just a photographer and helps make sure your special day is absolutely perfect and incorporates everything you both want. In the months leading up to the elopement, she helped Ryan and I decide on the perfect spot for our ceremony location as well as portraits and helped answer any questions we had along the way. Just as her bio mentions, she really is also your wedding planner/guide/friend and provides recommendations for vendors (i.e. hair/make-up, florists, food).
Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. Allison really is incredible and amazing at what she does. The pictures are STUNNING and I'll forever be grateful that we decided to elope over having a traditional wedding because we were able to plan a day that truly embodied us as a couple - hiking, eating PB&J, and drinking a beer while watching the sunset together all while Allison was capturing these moments that we'll be able to reminisce on for the rest of our lives.
Thank you so so much again!!

We never felt awkward or posed - it really felt like our friend came to photograph our day and that’s exactly what you need when you already have enough wedding stuff going on!
The weird thing about your wedding day is you don’t get to ever relive it. You only have the memories, and the pictures, to capture every beautiful moment you experienced that day....
When you think about wedding pictures, you imagine the ones where you both are perfectly posed and look flawless. And then you get your pictures back from Allison, and you realize it’s about every other picture then those beautiful ones. It’s about the candid smile and hug you gave your new mother-in-law, or the look on your dads face at your first look, or the laugh you and your husband shared during your first dance. Then you think back and realize you didn’t even know those pictures were being taken. That’s what makes Allison incomparable to the rest; she captures both the posed and candied perfect moments. My husband and I had the pleasure of having two photoshoots with Allison. We decided to do our wedding pictures earlier than our wedding, so we didn’t have to spend the extra time on the actual day of our wedding. Not a conventional idea, but Allison made us feel so comfortable with the idea. The pictures came out beyond our wildest expectations, and we had a ton of FUN hanging out with Allison. She completely took away the “awkwardness” of the whole photoshoot thing. We also got the pleasure of having Allison at our elopement in Yellowstone National Park. She absolutely blew these pictures out of the (national lol) park. She made everyone SO comfortable, and fit into my family like she was one of us. Everyone in our family said something along the lines of “wow! Those pictures came out amazing! Normally I hate myself in pictures, but she did I really good job, I actually like myself in these pictures!” I think it’s so important to touch on how genuine Allison is as a person. She is one of the coolest, understanding and down to earth humans I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful for her photography skills, and for her as a person. If you’re considering using Allison, do it!!!! You’ll only regret NOT using her!
I wish I could put into words how incredible Alison was on our wedding day. Because of covid it made having a wedding difficult and on top of that having a destination wedding was ...
even more challenging. She was SO HELPFUL start to finish. Very friendly and worked incredibly well with all my other vendors. Everyone loved her! If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. Thank you so much again and can’t wait to get the rest of our gallery!

t to you months in advance to make sure everything goes smoothly on your wedding day, and even reaching out to your other vendors herself to coordinate timelines with them, which relieves so much stress. Allison sends you gifts in the mail leading up to your day, and genuinely just feels like a friend from the moment you first talk to her! On our wedding day, she was so helpful in calming nerves and coordinating everything for us. We chose to do a sunset hike, and the shots Allison got of us were beyond words. Not only was she so much fun to hike with and get to know, but she gave us the best prompts in order to feel comfortable in front of the camera, capturing so well the intimacy of the first moments after getting married. To top it all off, Allison sent us our sneak peek photos (over 20) within 3 DAYS of our wedding day. It was so special to relive that day with the most beautiful photos we’d ever seen; she had captured absolutely all that we had hoped she would. I cannot recommend Allison enough to capture your special moments! She absolutely blew us away and we are so thankful for her!
I cannot more highly recommend Allison and her work. Where to begin... My fiancé and I had an incredible shoot with her at the Imperial Dunes in CA! Allison's manner is incredible ...
and her work really stunning. We are so thrilled with the pictures and with the genuinely fun time we had out there on the dunes. She's imaginative and really thorough, and after this experience, we fully intend on using her services for our wedding and any other event we may need a photographer for going forward! I can't recommend her highly enough! P.S., we had car trouble and she ensured we made it home safe. People like her are hard to come by. Thank you Allison for everything!
After finding Allison's website, I knew I wouldn't find anyone better! Working with Allison was even better than expected. Allison helped me find the perfect location and captured ...
the most beautiful shots for our engagement pictures. They were everything I could have hoped for! Allison did such a great job and made us feel comfortable and gave us an enjoyable experience during our session. I would definitely hire Allison again in the future and recommend her for anyone looking for pictures you will be able to cherish for a lifetime!!

iously, she's amazing and if I could give her 25 stars I totally would!
From the first contact, to rescheduling due to COVID and then actually making it to the big day, she was an absolute dream to work with. She was not only a photographer, she was a tour guide, planner and hiking expert extraordinaire.
Thank you to the most awesomely talented Allison Slater for making our vision come to life and for the most amazing wedding photos that we will cherish for a lifetime.
If you are in search of an elopement photographer, do yourself a favor, stop reading this and go book Allison right now. You will NOT regret it.

rt. The idea of planning another entire wedding felt extremely overwhelming until we found Allison. She's not only a photographer, but a planner as well. She made planning so easy every step of the way while making sure our day was exactly what we were dreaming of. She made the entire process stress-free and took so much off our plate!
The day of was truly unbelievable thanks to Allison's planning. Allison was extremely organized, yet so laid back which made for the most blissful wedding day. Our parents both commented that it seemed like she was an old friend and we'd known her forever. We felt so comfortable in front of the camera and she truly captured the entire story of our day.
We travel often and always say "the pictures don't do it justice." Allison's photos are quite the opposite. She truly captured how absolutely magical our wedding day was. It's honestly impossible to choose our favorites because they all are just beautiful. Allison is incredibly talented and we cannot recommend her enough!
You can stop searching now for a wedding photographer. Our wedding day was a complete dream & we honestly have Allison to thank for that! Due to COVID we were forced to cancel our ...
original wedding plans & we were feeling pretty crushed about that in the beginning; we felt nothing could compare to our original plans. In one phone conversation Allison restored our hope & excitement! She is the full package; so much more than a photographer. Allison helped us to create and envision our dream elopement wedding (which we would 100% do all over again!). She is very thorough and prompt in answering all of our questions. She is extremely professional & knowledgeable. Hiking up Zion with her and her husband (as our officiant) was great! Super friendly & easy going. She was just so sweet & so prepared for anything; one step ahead at all times. She was able to keep us on schedule the entire day & really kept the day centered around us. She came prepared with all the things that you could imagine you’d need & with all the things you could have forgotten. Your day is something she takes very seriously, as if it was her own wedding day. Most of all she was just completely there for us when we needed her. THE PHOTOS. They are breathtaking & have us speechless. We can’t even choose favorites because they’re just all our favorites. She is certainly gifted & gave us the most precious photos to remember our day with. Allison was able to tell the story of our wedding day through her photos, capturing all the small and big moments as well as all the little details in between. She is worth every single penny. This is who you want to spend your wedding day with and who you want to trust to capture those moments that you’ll carry with you for the rest of your life.

ome major location scouting and offers so much insight on a variety of magical spots. I was nervous about us looking awkward but NOPE she made us feel comfortable and the photos came out beautifully. If you're looking for something special and someone special to help you achieve it, she's your gal. I highly recommend her!

ven after we moved our wedding location across the U.S., she was happy to travel (safely, of course) for our intimate ceremony and assist us in finding the best photo locations from thousands of miles away. She has a genuine love and excitement for what she does and she made us feel so comfortable and happy on our big day. We could not recommend Allison enough and hope that someday soon we can travel out to AZ and link up with her again!

t shows in her work. Not only did she help us plan our big day, but she was always thinking ahead and coming up with questions that we hadn't even asked ourselves. The amount of research she did from day one of working with her was amazing. She was able to give us information not only on the park, but the surrounding area, and the best restaurants to eat at even though she was not from the area. Her drive and accountability were both characteristics of what we were looking for in a photographer, and she fit the bill perfectly. My husband and I would both highly recommend Allison for any photoshoot you can book her for. She guides you through the session and makes it feel so comfortable and effortless. If we could elope again just to work with Allison, we would!

er posed photos and then I came across Allison on the knot. She really took the time to listen and understood what I was looking for. The day we took our engagement photos Allison had some previews for us later that day which was such a nice surprise. I’m not comfortable in front of a camera but Allison really eased my anxieties and I love all of our photos. On our wedding day she was really good at politely wrangling my large bridal party and family to take care of all the shots on our list, and breezed through it so we didn’t have to miss much. Our day got rained in and we had to completely flip our plans upside down, she took the time to photoshop out a fan of every one of our ceremony photos which I would have never even expected. She’s just a lovely person and very prompt and professional! 10/10 love her!

dinary. We want to thank you again for everything.
My wife Raquel and I love photos, especially her :)
Going into the planning stages the number 1 item on the list were the photos and how they would be edited. We looked longer for a photographer than anything else haha. After finding your page, we fell in love and knew it was meant to be. After using you for our engagement photoshoot in Sedona, we were left in awe. You blew us away with your personality, and of course your work. We knew then that no matter where the wedding was going to be at, we were going to need you there.
Once we changed locations from AZ back to MO, we had to figure out a way in the budget to get you there. Because not having you was not an option. You were quick to respond and open to the travel. Made our planning easier and we knew the day would be great.
Now that we have our photos back and some time has passed. We realized how blessed we were to find you and have you be a huge part of our most special day. Also we gained a friend. We will definitely be using you again for future photoshoots.
With Love,
The Gruver's
Where do I even begin to explain how incredible Allison Slater is…

tagram and BAM!!! I saw Allisons page and I knew my search was over. It had all the right feels from the warm glowy lighting to the authentic moments she captured. I knew we had to have her! The first telephone conversation we had with her was so much fun and sealed the deal, we absolutely fell in love with Allison.
She photographed my now husband and I’s engagement pictures and elopement and at both sessions was truly an absolute pleasure to work with and made both experiences so easy, so fun and filled with so much magic! For our engagement shoot we had planned a July shoot at Superstition Mountain (I’m obsessed with the place) but right before our session the mountain caught fire and got so bad they had to close the trails we planned to shoot on. We had to make a backup plan. Allison being the rockstar she is scouted some trails and found another magical trail that had all the feels I wanted AND had Superstition Mountain in the background!!!
I was beyond thrilled and grateful!
At both the engagement shoot and our elopement day Allison came totally prepared with everything from snacks and water to a speaker so we could listen to music during (she even had “our song” cued up! She thought of every aspect of the day and was ready for anything. She was so easy to work with and made us feel like a friend we’ve known forever was taking our picture. The conversations we had with her were organic and full of laughter and happiness. She made us feel relaxed and comfortable so we could be truly present in the moment. I can’t even picture our elopement day without Allison being there. She made the day effortless (even with climbing a mountain in full wedding attire!).
And our pictures… WOWZA!!! They are absolutely mind-blowingly amazing! I don’t know if I could be any happier with them. On top of being crazy talented, sweet, funny, personable and professional, Allison is quick! She had our elopement images back to us within 2 weeks!!!
I could literally talk about how awesome Allison is all day. She is a dream to work with, easy to communicate with and a master of her craft! I can no thank her enough for our experiences with her and am already thinking of a reason for her to photograph us again! I would recommend Allison Slater Photography to anyone and everyone, trust me, you will be so happy you did! She is truly a gem.
