Tara was quick to reply, easy to communicate with & very very fun to work with. My make up was THE ABSOLUTE BEST it’s ever looked and I truly felt so so beautiful on my big day. My husband was enthralled with how great it looked and he loved that it didn’t look overdone. Tara truly has such a talent! Tara also stayed for touch ups and IT WAS THE BEST CHOICE I MADE!!!! When I say I WILL NEVER EVER regret the touch ups add on, I mean it! I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Tara and her team. Tara truly went above and beyond and I cannot be more grateful. I will sing her praises forever! She was at every turn and everywhere I needed her to ensure my make up was perfect for every pose & shot. I cannot thank her enough for all she did & I highly and strongly recommend her! My artist, Saily, was professional, kind, positive, and with the most calming disposition. She welcomed a trial for not only myself, but my mom as well. We both so appreciated that she would ask and confirm before taking the next step in our makeup not only during the trial, but on wedding day as well. She welcomed suggestions/inspiration and was an excellent listener. As someone who does not typically wear a lot or any make up at all it was so important to feel like myself. Saily found the perfect middle ground to where I looked like me with a little added glam! Not to mention, the makeup down to the lipstick lasted all day and night despite (many) happy tears. Loved any suggestions she had to share as well for prep for the big day and thereafter. Evette was our second artist on wedding day and she and Saily both did an incredible job with my bridesmaids and MIL as well. They both brought along some fun conversation and excitement into the morning making our time together so enjoyable. I am forever grateful for the hard work of Underground Artistry and would (and already have :)) recommend them with glowing colors to anyone!

en wedding day was super smooth, timing was perfect, and it was such a low-stress part of the day. I feel like that can be hard with 12 makeups in addition to coordinating with hair! Everyone was super happy with the end result and how long it lasted. Saily and Tara were the absolute gold standard of professionalism, service, and are experts at what they do.

s the first person I contacted the day after I got engaged : ) She is down to earth, fun, sweet, responsive and caring. For my engagement photos I told her to make me look natural but also do anything you want because I trusted her. My fiance was nervous that when he saw me that I would look like a clown. The moment he saw me he said "wow it looks just like you". On the wedding day I looked like myself and the makeup lasted all day/night. My bridesmaid and family (mother, mother-in law, grandmom and sister-in law) all loved her and could not stop raving about their makeup. She is fun and will make you feel comfortable and relaxed on your wedding day!

She provided me with a complimentary 2nd trial with JP and it was amazing. The day of the wedding JP and the other artist we on time, easy to work with, and a good time. st, and as the wedding approached, I felt that the particular artist was not the best fit for me (her work was still beautiful, of course, but not quite the style that I envisioned), and reached out to Tara. She pretty much immediately contacted me back, and was able to find another artist who she felt would match better with my vision of more natural make up. (As you can see by their portfolio, they do an excellent job of make up, ranging from glam to natural.) On my wedding day, Beth was the perfect fit for me and my bridesmaids, who don’t wear make up on a day-to-day basis. Everybody felt so beautiful, and felt like an enhanced version of themselves, which is exactly what we were hoping for. I felt so beautiful as well, and she did such an excellent job. There were a lot of different skin tones in my bridal party, and she matched everybody’s foundation shade perfectly. I would absolutely recommend Beth, and Underground Artistry in general for make up!

e a second artist the day of, free of charge! Just to help, not even as a request. My artist Michele was also so lovely! She made sure I looked exactly how I wanted and offered tips and advice in case I wanted to make any changes the day of the wedding when I had my trial. She also helped me find the best lip stain ever, which I use on the regular now! Michele and her assistant were punctual, profession and mostly patient with me and my unruly squad of girls who can be very particular. They didn't miss a beat. My girls, my mom, and my MIL walked down my aisle looking like models! This was the easiest and best decision I ever made to book with UA!

h enthusiasm, a clear list of services and pricing, and a great portfolio. I thought for sure that they would be booked but she has a whole team of makeup artists with availability. Tara’s contracts and invoices were highly professional and I was officially booked within a few emails. Prices were fair and I loved that airbrush foundation and lashes were optional add-ons, which saved us money since two bridal party members wanted very minimal makeup. I always asked vendors about back-up plans and Tara reassured me that another artist would be able to cover down in case of an unexpected emergency. Lee was the makeup artist assigned to our wedding and was excited and responsive from the start. I scheduled a trial with her at Tara’s home studio a week out, and she nailed the overall look after a few questions and reference pictures. Bridal beauty was not something I put much thought or effort into, but Lee made me look and feel so special yet natural. On the wedding day, she was punctual, calm, kind, and efficient. Lee did makeup for four including me, and even though my sister’s makeup started at 8am, she looked flawless the entire day and night. Everyone was so thrilled with their looks and our hairdresser raved about Lee, saying that he had done hair at many weddings and had never seen someone so calm and skilled. She made a few tiny adjustments from my trial and the airbrush foundation blended perfectly with my complexion. I brought my own lipstick which she applied right before I got into my gown but I decided it was a little too dark (I never wear lipstick and didn’t apply it fully when I tested the color). She quickly removed some and blended it with other colors to lighten it, and I really appreciated her patient, confident manner and skillset. She nailed my look and I truly have never felt more beautiful. Lee is a highly experienced and creative artist and I would recommend her and Underground Artistry to anyone for any occasion!

talented! It was VERY hot on the day of my wedding: 90+ degrees and it was outdoors. Plus, I am a HUGE crier. Both of these things had me concerned for how my makeup would hold up throughout the day. To say it stayed *literally* flawless for the entire day and night despite hours of sweating and crying would be an understatement. I don't know what magic JP used, but my mascara never ran, face makeup never smudged a bit. Even my photographer told me how impressed she was that I wasn't glistening with sweat while doing our portraits in direct sun/heat. I highly recommend this company and JP specifically. Truly a miracle worker!!

Lee was the epitome of professional and is just so so talented. She made sure that I was happy with the choices she was making every step of the way. Also, I am allergic to aloe (yes, super weird), and she checked EVERY INGREDIENT of every makeup item to make sure I didn't have a reaction. Day of, Lee and Jill arrived on time and everyome looked absolutely stunning. The biggest thing... my mother broke her nose in two places, three days before the event. She was able to get the swelling under control, but she was extremely black and blue. But these girls are MAGIC. You couldn't even tell that she'd broken her nose by the time she was done. I was elated that everyone's makeup lasted throughout such a long day and through the entire night. I had never felt so beautiful. My sister in law had her wedding a couple weeks later, and Underground Artistry was her beauty vendor as well. Although it was a different artist (Tara, the owner, worked with me this time), she remembered that I had a weird allergy (sometimes I forget to tell people about it even when it'll make a difference) and pulled the notes Lee had taken!! One of my sister in laws bridesmaids is recently engaged and planning her wedding, and already asked for their name!! 100% would recommend!!

Firstly, during COVID times, it is truly important to recognize people and businesses who have the utmost values at their core, and Underground Artistry is one of those companies. They truly care about their brides as humans, and do not view you as a customer. Our wedding was scheduled for 8/22/20, and we originally planned to have a 250 person wedding at a venue in Philadelphia. I was originally contracted with a different makeup artists; however, I found out last minute that she could no longer do my makeup. Luckily, my hair stylists (Jenn from Happily Ever After) recommended Tara, and Tara was available. I am so incredibly happy she was because it was hands down the best makeup I have ever had done. Even though Tara doesn't normally travel for this small of a group and normally charges an extra fee for a small group, she was willing to make an exception due to the situation COVID left us in and waived the fee normally charged for a smaller group. She traveled to my sister's house in Philadelphia and did our makeup. You could tell your makeup was done and she made you sparkle, but you also still looked like yourself and did not have that powdery/caked on look that makeup normally leaves. My mom, sister, and I were all extremely happy with our makeup (we felt absolutely beautiful and still like ourselves!), and it lasted throughout the hot, sweaty August day! She not only did an incredible job with all of our makeup (everyone was so happy with their makeup!), she stepped in to help out when we were running behind. Since we had less hands helping that morning to get me into my dress and get everything together, she helped me not only get my dress situated (thank you for that!), but also helped to take pictures of me in my dress with my mom and sister and escorted us to our car to make sure we had everything we absolutely needed for the day. She exceeded our expectations as a makeup artists, and I am still blown away at the kindness she showed on my wedding day. I was so thankful for her truly amazing work, and the kindness and respect that she treated me with as a customer. She went above and beyond to make sure that both parties in the contract were happy, which sadly, is a rare thing for businesses during this time. If you are looking for an incredible makeup artists and someone who truly cares about you, look no further! Underground Artistry and Tara exceeds all expectations! only did Tara give me a fantastic makeup trial (that even lasted through a workout), but she also did my makeup for my bridal shower too! Not to mention how wonderful she was on my wedding day! She made me look and feel absolutely flawless and for that I could not be more thankful. Not only did she and Lee beautify me and all of my girls, but she even stayed extra hours, came on the party bus with me and my bridal party, and followed me around everywhere I went during pictures to make sure my makeup stayed flawless! She went above and beyond her job description and truly was a friend throughout the day. She helped my mom carry my dress so it didn't get dirty, and even sent me all of the pictures she took throughout the afternoon. If you are questioning who to get for your makeup, look no further! My grandma originally didn't want to get her makeup done ("I do it better myself!") and when she saw the results of my trial she immediately asked if I could add her to the schedule. JP was friendly, calming, and answered all of our questions with care and ease. The results of our makeup stuck on all night and even though I cried before, during, and after my ceremony you couldn't even tell! She was amazing!!

I also had a big bridal party (11 girls) and they were not only able to accommodate, they took their time with each one of my ladies and ensured it was exactly what they wanted. Beyond their talent, they are also just wonderful people to spend time with- we had such a fun morning getting ready and I couldn’t have imagined it without Tara and JP! I will forever cherish the memories of that morning and that day and I am so grateful for UA for helping to make it amazing!
