second being a completely custom Rehearsal Dinner dress. To start our process, Kate had me send her a bunch of inspiration photos. We had an amazing call talking through the vision I had for both dresses. I told her to take what I envisioned and run with it! Kate constantly kept in touch with me. She shared her sketches with me, jumped on feedback calls, and hosted fittings. As someone who isn’t involved in the fashion world, Kate made me feel so comfortable to share my opinions with her. She truly heard my feedback while layering in her expertise to land a look we both loved! It was a huge decision to trust someone with my mom’s wedding dress, but I am so thankful I did! Kate saw the beauty in the dress that I saw, and brought every unique detail into the new dress. I felt like an absolute princess in it! With the second dress for my Rehearsal Dinner, I really wanted to let Kate’s unique vision to come through. Kate was so particular in making sure the bridal shower dress, rehearsal dinner dress, and my wedding gown were all different from each other while all working within my wedding theme. It was amazing to see her creativity shine when I let her run with it more. She knew what would look best on me! While the dresses came out unbelievably perfect, I also can’t emphasize enough how beautiful this whole process was. Wedding planning got stressful at times, but having Kate design these dresses brought some sunshine to the dark days of planning. I never had to worry once. I can’t wait until I can work with Kate again on another custom!

2024 wedding….That was until Kate took on the challenge to transform my her dress and veil into two wedding looks of my dreams - a mini dress for a pre-wedding event, and a gown for the wedding day. I live in Florida, and so over the course of a year, Kate and I met regularly on video calls and in-person to bring our shared vision to life. She knew my mom’s dress was one of a kind and extremely sentimental to me, and this was evident to how thoughtful and careful she was with every detail. She made sure I was happy with every decision and understood what we were doing with every inch of my mom’s original dress, and these efforts made me feel at ease during the entire process. For my wedding gown, it was important to me to keep the integrity of my mom’s dress while still putting my own twist on it to match my venue-inspired renaissance vision. From the detachable tail coat, the perfect fitting corset, the romantic sleeve detail, and more, she executed the vision to perfection. Her and her team removed every single lace/bead detail and reattached by hand. Talk about perfection!! And because we removed the sleeves from the original wedding gown, we decided to pair them with a perfect fitting mini made from new fabric for me to wear at a pre-wedding event. This was a fun way to incorporate my mom’s dress into more than just my wedding day, and I can absolutely wear this mini again for a future event! I would recommend Undone by Kate 10 times out of 10.
