Universal Light and Sound setup our string lights so quickly. They were in and out of the venue, worked seamlessly with my planner, and the lights really made the ambience beautiful. I would highly recommend working with them and their prices are super reasonable for a NY based lighting company.

We last minute had to change to the bigger venue due to weather and they were able to double our package and make the big space look as though we were always supposed to be there. Working with Mark was super easy! I used them to hang string lights at the Brooklyn Winery. In fact, they are the ONLY lighting vendor they allow to hang lights in their space, so luckily Mark also turned out to be an amazing vendor. Their pricing is extremely fair, and is all inclusive. No extra set up or labor fees hidden anywhere. I never actually interacted with anyone in person, and everything went smoothly. Set up was on time and with no issues. Our guests kept commenting on how magical the space looked with the lights! If I ever have another event, I would definitely use them again!

The dinner portion of our reception was in a large, clear tent. We hired Universal Light & Sound to install string lighting throughout the tent to create a softly light ambiance. Mark was a pleasure to work with and created a beautiful tent of light for our reception.

We used ULS for our 11/4 wedding at Dumbo Loft and the process from hiring to our wedding day was seamless. Mark was attentive to emails and the prices were extremely reasonable. As ULS was a recommended vendor of our venue group, they already had a sample floor plan for the space which was helpful in envisioning the day. We went with uplighting, string lights, and ceremony drapes and were very pleased with how everything came together. On the day of the wedding the company arrived earlier than the quoted time frame and as per my DOC set up quickly and professionally. The venue is beautiful on its own but the warmth of the string and uplighting really took it to another level, and we were very glad we opted to have them. At the end of the night they came back to retrieve their equipment after guests had left. Overall we had no issues and we appreciated how easy Mark and his company made the lighting situation for us!

We had a great experience with ULS! They gave us a great price for uplighting, everything was done perfectly and looked great! We didn't plan to hire a lighting vendor until the last minute because our venue already had great lighting. We were worried they wouldn't be able to accommodate us but they were great and easy to work with.

My wife and I used Universal Light and Sound for string lighting for our wedding at the Foundry. They were very easy to work with, and their lighting was great. When we made a small adjustment to our wedding schedule for it to end a half hour later they had no problems with that and easily adjusted their pickup time for us. They have a wide range of string lighting options, too.

We hired Universal Light & Sound for additional string lighting & pendant lamps in our beautiful venue, The Green Building. They were super easy to work with, reasonably priced (for Brooklyn pricing), and punctual. Absolutely beautiful lighting. Would hire again!!

Wonderful to work with Mark. He was so accommodating of all my change requests as our needs changed throughout the planning process! It was affordable and it was set up exactly how I wanted in the end. We had string lights, uplights, and drapes through them and it MADE the space! Mark's communication was quick and reliable. ULS did a great job setting up sound equipment and lighting for my wedding at the W Loft in Brooklyn. They were easy to communicate with and they set up speakers and a sounds system, plus uplights and string lights, all on the day of the wedding. They're able to do day-of drop off and pick up, which is handy for loft venues! The equipment worked well and they even gave us a discounted rate for paying in cash. Highly recommended!

I can't tell you how lucky we were that our planner used ULS lighting!! They were so flexible in setting up lighting at a venue that was trying to force us to use a different lighting company (that was also 4x the price). I got married at the Foundry in LIC Aug. 27th, 2016. We were debating if we needed lighting and after talking to our florist she suggested it especially since part of the reception was under a tent. Within minutes of emailing Mark at Universal Lighting we were sold. He's super helpful, gave great suggestions on what he recommended would look best, and told us what he didn't think we needed. Mark worked within our budget and did a fabulous job! The pin spot lights we did in the tent really accented our centerpieces and the string lighting in the main room gave the room a warm feeling. Universal Light and Sound NYC did a beautiful job lighting our wedding at Brooklyn Winery. They were affordable, on time, and made the place shine. We paid for string lights in the bar/dance floor area and they had another wedding the day after ours in the same space, so they offered us a bunch of string lights in the dining room for free! That's the kind of surprise you want to have on your wedding day. Very professional and they made the place look gorgeous. Definitely recommend.

Mark was great!! He did lighting for my 10.10.2015 wedding at The Foundry in NYC. He has worked at the venue many times prior and was able to accomplish my requests. He created a lighting fixture as people entered the venue, a lighting backdrop for the alter, and chandeliers for the outdoor dining space. The extra touches he added made the day stunning.
