Henry went above and beyond for our wedding. The greenery he installed from the bistro lights was dreamy and the bouquets and table arrangements were magical. He worked creatively with the antiques I got for decor. He also did our rehearsal dinner flowers and those were stunning- so many compliments on both. As a bonus, I felt the pricing was very competitive and much better than other quotes I received. Highly recommend University Florist!

I started wedding planning with another florist and shared my quote with a wedding coordinator who suggested I reach out to Henry to at least compare a few vendors. I am so glad I took her advice! So many guests commented on our fresh, thoughtful and beautiful arrangements. Henry was personable, flexible and somehow knew exactly what I was hoping for. Our flowers were more reasonable than other vendors we had looked at but were extremely high quality — we appreciated Henry’s transparency and willingness to help us get bang for our buck. University Florist did the flowers for my wedding, and they were all beautiful. Every single arrangement, including my bouquet were gorgeous!

Henry was so easy to work with and he did not fail to impress us with his work either. He was very responsive over email and was willing to do as many or as few of flowers as I wanted for our wedding based on our budget. When we had to postpone our wedding a full year due to COVID, I genuinely felt like the “magic” of our wedding was lost and it became difficult to approach re-planning with any excitement. Working with Henry completely turned that feeling around. I 100% credit Henry with making our wedding look and feel like a fairy tale. Almost every single guest approached me during the wedding reception to share how stunning the ceremony and reception flowers were and how perfectly they helped set the tone for our celebration. We were blown away by the University Florist team and the care and thoughtfulness they put into working with us on every detail while being mindful of budget. We worked with Henry for our November 2019 wedding in Chapel Hill. He brought so much creativity to our vision, and couldn't have made the process easier. University Florist did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding flowers! We did not have a ton at our wedding (just bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages) but they created exactly what I had envisioned - just even more beautiful! Henry is also really fun to work with and understood from the first time we met what kind of look I was going for. He also came through big time in the last week of our planning when a hurricane affected our plan to get baby’s breath in bulk from somewhere else for the ceremony. He was able to get it at the last minute for us and everything turned out great. University Florist is a go-to florist in Chapel Hill for good reason!

Henry did such an amazing job! He completely took my vision of romance and whimsy and made it 100x better. My bridesmaids all said their bouquets were the best they had seen at a wedding. He even put flowers in the chandelier above the dance floor, it was absolutely stunning. The banister and stairs were such a wow point. I truly felt like something out of a fairy tale! The flowers we requested were not in season and Henry were able to find them for us. The arrangements were stunning and the Governors Club was transformed into an elegant, whimsical garden. Henry was very professional, responsive, and punctual. He gave us EXACTLY what we wanted (elegant yet earthy arrangements full of fragrant herbs and wildflowers.) We couldn't have asked for more. It was comforting to know we had someone solid to rely on while we were planning this wedding from 2000 miles away!

The only reason I didn't give 5 starts was because I had thought my centerpieces were going to be bigger than they actually were, but that could have just been due to a miscommunication. I told Charles at University Florist that I wanted orange and white flowers and to use whatever was in season and looked the most beautiful. I showed him some pictures so that he could get a feel for me style. So the flowers were a surprise the day of the wedding. They were even better than anything I could have imagined. I was also surprised that he included tulips, knowing they were one of my favorites, considering the low cost of the flowers. I was very pleased.

I had an amazing time with University Florist. I made an appointment to discuss my vision for the wedding, and Charles nailed it on the head. The flowers were beautiful and he put up with all of my emails and questions. They also did the flowers for the rehearsal dinner (which was arranged by my mother-in-law) and we had the same experience. I would definitely recommend that you use this florist.
