Carolyn was without a doubt one of the best vendors we hired for our wedding. She had done several weddings at our venue before and was amazing to work with and brought so many great ideas to complement our ideas. She is very conscious of your budget which was greatly appreciated. She has tricks to save you money. Working with her was amazing and I really enjoyed all our conversations. All the floral aspects of our wedding were beautiful. Carolyn was a former wedding coordinator and was very helpful in the wedding planning process. I could rave about our experience with her all day :) If you are getting married in Lexington she is the perfect vendor!

Carolyn was amazing to work with! We were planning our wedding out of town and she made it really easy with one in person visit and then all follow up communications through email. She was well organized and took all of my input into consideration while providing her expertise and knowledge when needed. The final products were all beautiful- I never expected the bouquets to look so full! Her team were prompt in arriving to set up the day of (including hanging a large arrangement) and came the next morning to clear things away, even donating the flowers couldn't take home. I highly recommend!

We hired University Florist and Greenery to create our wedding flowers. Carolyn was awesome to work with and the flowers turned out perfectly. The flowers were high quality and exactly what I was picturing. Carolyn was able to turn my dream flowers into reality. They knew our venue, House Mountain Inn, really well so she was able to help guide our choices. She is also super real and told me ways I could save money instead of her charging me more.

I had a wonderful experience working with Carolyn. Because my husband and I planned our wedding remotely, I actually did not meet Carolyn until two days before the Big Day. I had reached out to Carolyn several months prior after reading the numerous great reviews online. She and I kept in touch throughout the months leading up to my wedding and, during this time, she helped me articulate what I was looking for. When I saw the floral arrangements on the morning of my wedding day, I nearly cried; they were gorgeous! Not only were the flowers absolutely stunning, but they reflected our wedding colors perfectly. Carolyn is AMAZING. I showed her pictures of what she wanted and right away I knew we were in the best hands. Her team was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond. (I'm talking even seeing napkins rolled incorrectly at the rehearsal dinner and spending a half hour placing them correctly when she had zero obligation to do so). I wish we could get married again so that we could use her and her team once more. Thank you for taking our vision and making it so much better than we ever imagined!

Carolyn is wonderful. She was the first vendor we met with after booking our venue. We went into the meeting with very little plan or idea for our decorations, etc. We left that meeting with a sense of direction and a lot of good contacts for other resources she didn't provide! She went above and beyond, was always super helpful, open, and honest. Our flowers turned out beautifully, and I would recommend this place ten times over!

She was always patient, understanding, and knew exactly what to do with my abstract ideas. Carolyn has an eye for beauty. She took my ideal wedding bouquet look on Pinterest and made it a reality! She has an amazingly creative and artistic mind for floral arrangements! Not only were our wedding bouquets gorgeous, the flowers and greenery on the many signs at the wedding were incredibly beautiful. She made my wedding come to life! We and all the guests were so impressed with her work. Carolyn is also a delightful person to work with! I kept saying “yes, that’s exactly what I’m going for” during our planning meetings! I highly recommend university florist for all types of events, but especially weddings!

The flowers for my April wedding in Lexington were beautiful. I didn't consider myself much of a "flower" bride, meaning I didn't really have a vision for what I wanted and it didn't seem that important to me. I sent them a few pictures of a some things I thought I liked from different bouquets and they put them all together so perfectly. I was blown away on our wedding day at how stunning they were and I think they may have turned me into a "flower" person! The pricing is also so reasonable and they were very easy to work with.

Working with Carolyn was truly a blessing! Since my fiancé and I lived out of town we were unable to meet with her in person. Therefore, Carolyn primarily focused on creating what she thought would look best based on a few pictures that I sent her of flowers that I liked. After each of our conversations, Carolyn would sent detailed notes on the flowers and pricing for each. Also, Carolyn was incredibly responsive to any concerns that my husband and I had. This made the planning process much easier! On the wedding day, Carolyn made my dream come to reality. She created the most beautiful floral arrangements that I have ever seen. I know that any bride who works with Carolyn and her staff will have a wonderful experience and be amazed by her work.

Planning a wedding from over 1,000 miles away is not something I would wish on anyone. But Carolyn made the process so much easier than it could have been. Through many emails and conversations, she was able to perfectly capture the feel of the day that my husband and I were going for. The only thing we knew we wanted in terms of flowers were daisies. Carolyn created beautiful arrangements with daisies as the focal points and other stunning blooms to accent them. She was also very helpful and accommodating at making sure we stayed within our budget. I can't thank her enough for everything she did for us. One of the best services she provided was day of coordinator for our ceremony. Without her, our day wouldn't have been as perfect as it was. She made sure everyone was where they needed to be and helped prepare all of the necessary materials. She was our savior! You can't go wrong if you work with University Florist. You will have a day more perfect and beautiful than you could have ever imagined!

Working with Carolyn and University Florist was truly a pleasure and a highlight of our wedding planning process. My mom and I met with Carolyn and could immediately sense her passion for her job and her priority of making the visions of her clients come true. I knew from the first meeting with the owner, Carolyn, that my daughter and I had found the best florist in the area. Her ideas right off the bat were right in line with what we wanted. Over time Carolyn and I expanded on those ideas and she made it all come to life with exquisite beauty. Her creations for the ceremony site and reception took my breath away. My daughter's bouquet was so gorgeous and I am glad she took it home to decorate her table. I highly recommend University Florist whether it is for a wedding or for any occasion.

Met and spoke with florist many times over my two-year engagement... owner seemed flustered, and allowed personal matters to interfere with her professionalism... and made it known that she was extremely over-booked, and busy. Flowers were pretty, but not what I expected... I could have had Kroger (the local grocery store) create the same things for a much cheaper price. Delivery staff did not set centerpieces correctly, and I did not receive my "tossing" bouquet as promised by owner as an incentive for choosing their business.

As soon as I saw the University Florist shop I knew I was going to love it. It is set in the quaint town of Lexington, VA and has such a sweet atmosphere. Our designer Dina seemed to know exactly what style I was looking for, which was rustic and classic. I had lots of ideas but was not quite sure how to put them all together. She did such a beautiful job with our bouquets, centerpieces, and accents. It was exactly what I had imagined! I could not have asked for a better florist! Thanks so much.

the staff was so great to work with and the flowers were so amazing. They are so creative and always go the extra mile to make you feel so special. The quality of their work is fantastic. Everyone was taken back of how beautiful the flowers were. They held up so well in the heat and were such good quality. I didn't expect such high quality in a small town, but I was really blown away!

The flowers and service were great. However, I got a bill on my wedding day for additional services I had thought were included in the first set of payments.
