Great university, beautiful campus and helpful staff/faculty. Yes, it’s not the most prestigious but it was a great experience and worth the money. For the cost of tuition you won’t find a better option.

Amazing school with even more amazing professors. I still keep in contact with a lot of them. This school really helped me build a strong pre med foundation which got me into medical school. Highly recommend.

I arrived here as an international exchange student. My experience with the courses and professors was positive. I appreciated the dedication of some of the teachers and how they welcomed me. I would review some courses, which may be lacking in...
content, but overall it seemed like a well-organized campus. However, I didn't appreciate the management of the international office. From the moment I set foot in Parkside, I noticed a tense atmosphere, and one of the two people who were supposed to guide me through the process made fun of me and judged my educational path without asking. Furthermore, they wanted to force me to get health insurance even though I already had one, and after I resisted, it was strangely no longer necessary. It's good that there is a cafeteria, but I would review the menu and opt for something healthier. I would also ensure more buses go to the university; not having a car often means having to wait hours for a bus in the freezing cold. And please, lower the prices of accommodations.

I applied here because it was close to where I live and it seemed affordable. Sadly that was the only good thing this school could offer, the entire process of application was more difficult than they should have made it. Admissions is never th...
ere so even setting up an appointment is difficult. No matter what time you call the office to make an appointment the front desk always tells you that they are “busy” at the moment or they are taking a lunch break. I still gave Parkside a chance and made an appointment a month ago just for them to call me the day before my scheduled appointment to inform me that the meeting would have to be cancelled and to reschedule online on their app. Setting up classes was equally a struggle, I made an in-person appointment but the person changed it to a virtual meeting last minute. Not even 20 minutes into setting up classes the person tells me he’ll have to call me later because it’s lunch time, but that they’ll call me in 30 minutes. I waited an hour, checked my emails to get an update but nothing. After 2 hours of waiting they finally call me and are ready to finish setting up the classes. I don’t attend Parkside, after all these horrible experiences with front desk and admissions It was obvious to me that this school is too busy to even care about new students.

I am only giving this place one star because you can't give zero. If this college had a motto, it would be "You get what you pay for".
When going to a low cost college like this, don't expect quality. Nobody listens to you or actually wants to...
do their job, on-campus housing is nothing but thin walls where you hear everything as well as short notice announcements that never fix any actual issues, and the technology interface is the worst I have ever experienced anywhere with how many hoops you are forced to jump through just to log in. Especially since they would rather just feed you the same broken solutions that are the reasons problems exist rather than actually do their job and make anything better. If you want a college where nobody bothers to thoroughly explain how anything works, has no resources to anonymously get your questions or concerns answered, and doesn't want to hear any suggestions from students on how to make things better, then Parkside is for you.
Don't cheap out! Go to Carthage or some other school that isn't a University of Wisconsin school.

A much as it's a nice and very pretty campus (which is why I am giving it a generous score), some of the professors that I have had do not seem to care about your education. No doubt, there are good professors there who are excited to help you ...
succeed in the class you are taking. However, there are some that in the classes they teach, I haven't learned a single thing in the class and some of the professors don't even talk about the class they are teaching half the time during the lecture. I am only here because I am a commuter but hopefully in the near future, I can get out of here for a school that takes their students a little more seriously. The only thing I have yet to learn from attending here is to not let looks deceive you.

Worst customer service I’ve experienced my entirety of my degree with UWP. Anyone I asked for help from whether it was a professor or someone involving clerical work, very dismissive and rude. Never felt welcomed by the staff.

I have two bachelor degrees and a master's in clinical mental health counseling from Parkside. On multiple occasions, they tried to remove me from school for standing up to bullies that happened to be staff. I was a nontraditional student in my...
30s while working on my masters. They convinced me that it would be worth it. They lied. The program lets you out into a world where $25 an hour is all you can expect for at least 2 years of full-time employment following licensure, a process they do not prepare you for and for me took 9 months to complete. I have two children. $25 an hour is untenable. I cannot support my family on this, despite 10 years prior work in psychiatric facilities. The institution is abusive, money hungry, and cares little to none about their students. I can state without hesitation that my masters is worthless. I can't afford to work for that little for years. I use my associates in engineering technology and make $10 an hour more than what they pay therapists. They won't tell you this. They aren't realistic with students. They just want to make money off us.
