We could not be happier with our decision to host our reception at the University Plaza. From the moment we started inquiring, Shelby was attentive and patient. He met with us anytime we wanted, answered as many questions as we wanted to ask and made us feel like we were the only thing going on at that time. The night of our wedding was perfect! His team served wonderful food, provided excellent service and made sure all our guests were comfortable. The University Plaza is definitely the best place to host your reception in Springfield! Thanks for all your hard work Shelby!

We just had our wedding reception at the University Plaza and had a very good experience. The food was great and the planning process was pretty painless. Our guests had a wonderful time and complemented our choice of venue. If I had to harp on one thing (and this is really because I'm OCD about things) it would be that it was almost impossible to find any staff after we finished our meal. If we needed anything, we usually had to go out to the hotel lobby to request they find someone to assist us. Overall, though, I would certainly recommend!

The Sales team did a great job with coordinating every single detail that I wanted and never left me out of the loop. They made everything SO much easier for me so that I could focus on enjoying this time in as a bride-to-be rather than it being a horrible and stressful experience.

The price is good, but they won't let you bring in outside drinks, not even anything like sparkling grape juice. The food was ok and the catering department is decent to work with, but there were several things that were disappointing.
