My wedding cake from Unrefined Bakery was a huge success! Their team was helpful from the get go helping me design a wedding cake, taking into consideration my budget and guest cou...
nt. The cake tasting was incredibly helpful, and we ultimately went with a strawberry vanilla 2-tier cake. They even provided me extra icing in case the cake got bumped in transit (which it did!) and I needed to patch it up. We ended up only having a few pieces left because all of our guests loved the cake. Would highly recommend for anyone gluten-free or not!
To start with we would go months at a time without communication from this vendor. They would ask questions, receive answers, and say nothing else. we had to call multiple times to...
ensure our cakes were being done, since they took a while before sending an invoice. Then, they told us our design could be done, and it came out looking nothing like what we asked for. Imagine a nice marble looking sleek cake with wispy designs as the request, and what looked like a child's drawing being delivered. We appreciated that this vendor offered a gluten free option, but it seems as if they feel that lets them deliver subpar results. The flavors we had were lemon berry and chocolate mocha. The flavor was good, the service and execution as a wedding vendor, fell extremely short
We had a 3-tier Coconut Cream, partly vegan cake for our theme wedding. The coordination went great and the cake was beautiful! It was so delicious it was all gone! People had seco...
nds. Huge success!! We have Unrefined cakes often and our wedding cake was absolutely amazing!
Ruth was wonderful to work with! The tasting was easy to book and I loved all the options. They truly have the best Gluten free options. I looked all over Austin, TX and couldn't f...
ind anything that I loved more so I had my Bridesmaid bring my cake from Dallas! Best decision ever!
Ruth was so patient with us and was always available to answer questions and stayed in our budget. We had a three tier wedding cake with only the second layer actually being cake....
However, it was so beautifully made no one knew there was two faux layers! For our wedding guests, they were served from two different double sheet cakes and we are very pleased with the decision. After enjoying their cupcakes for years we were absolutely delighted with our decision to let Unrefined Bakery bake the wedding cakes!
The BEST gluten free cake ever!
I cannot begin to explain how happy I am with Unrefined’s work. As someone with Celiac, I did not think I would be able to have my own wedding cake, but they made it not only possi...
ble, but they made it look absolutely beautiful.
My husband who doesn’t need to be GF even decided to get his grooms cake from here and they actually drew the logo to his favorite hockey team (Nashville predators) on it and it looked like it was printed it was so good.
We were originally looking for a gluten free bakery for me, but my husband fell in love with the Loaded Monkey flavor, so we ended up going with that for his Groom's cake and some ...
cupcakes. It was delicious and every bite was thoroughly enjoyed. It looked very nice as well, though not as we had pictured in our head, which was probably just a lack of communication on our part.
I cannot say enough good things about Unrefined. Really. We were originally thinking of just getting a small cake for those with allergies (bride included), but the tasting was so ...
delicious my mom and the groom were practically licking the plate. Their prices are competitive, and an utter deal in my opinion for the quality of ingredients and care that this company puts into their work. We had both the bride and groom cakes for our wedding made through them. They're proud of what they do, and they do a job worth being proud of! I'm completely loyal to them now. My husband and I have gone in twice in the month since the wedding to get regular groceries for pizza night, sweet treats, and morning toast. Ladies, it's so worth getting your cake from them - what other bakery can become a part of your life beyond your wedding day? Where you know the name of the attendant, and get to talk with them over a sample of their latest and greatest baked good? In a phrase: I'm in love.
Our gluten free cake was delicious and so beautiful! Bunny took the time to get the cake exactly like we wanted it and it was a beautiful addition to our ceremony.
I ordered a large, regular cake for my guests without gluten allergies, and a small cake for me and my other Celiac guests.
Unrefined is my all-time favorite gluten-free bakery ...
and I don't think I will ever find another bakery I like nearly as much.
The cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious! I would recommend Unrefined Bakery to anyone (not just brides) for any cake needs!
One of my bridesmaids as well as another guest at our wedding suffer from gluten intolerance. Since getting a full-sized gluten free wedding cake would have been $900, we decided t...
o get a small cake on the side for these guests. A cake that serves 4 people costs $35, and it was definitely worth it. Our GF guests felt so honored that we got a cake to accommodate them, and it tasted absolutely delicious. If you have gluten intolerant guests, I would highly recommend getting a small cake from Unrefined!
I picked them among 3 bakeries. Julie gave us a tasting box for the groom. They have fun flavors and what I liked the most as that they were able to copy the cake from the picture ...
I gave them without fondant.
