They charge a $200 deposit, $100 goes towards you day of services, which is fine. Then, understandably, they recommend a hair and makeup trial. $95 for each. All the artists are freelance so you must also pay a travel fee and to rent a salon space. The first trial was awful. The artist didn't use primer, powder or setting spray, did not inquire about skin type or hair type. Needless to say, within an hour of leaving, the makeup had melted off my face and my hair was flat. I expressed my concern to the owner Jenny, she was apologetic and offered to have a re-trial (she wouldn't profit, only the stylist) for $150. I agreed. We had the trial at my maid of honors home. When I arrived, the stylist was in the doorway, and hadn't set up any equipment. Upon completion my makeup looked NOTHING like I requested and I even sent a detailed YouTube tutorial. To her credit, the hair was better. Then came payment time. I was quoted $150 as a consolation for the bad first trial and the stylist charged me $200. I was confused why, but paid anyway. When I got home I was really upset about the makeup and wiped it all off. My fiancé contacted Jenny about the issue and she agreed to let us out of our contract, but she sent a text message to me, and told me her stylist said I was 30 minutes late, which was a bold faced lie. She said it took one hour longer even though there were no interruptions (this was her explanation for charging extra). Over $600 down the drain to this place and no compensation. Perhaps the high ratings are from people who don't wear makeup often and are easily pleased. My advice to those who have any knowledge of makeup and do not like flushing their money down the toilet, look elsewhere.
