Mark was fantastic to work with, easy to work and communicate with, and excellent at his craft/art. Mark was a genuine pleasure to work with from our engagement photos to the wedding day. My partner and I usually do not enjoy getting our pictures taken but his direction and candid style made it a very comfortable experience. Throughout our entire planning process, Mark was a helping hand and an excellent guide in terms of bringing our vision to life. We were looking for someone that would not only lend us their expertise in photography but also someone that would listen to our ideas and find ways to execute them, no matter how absurd. During our engagement photos, Mark managed to capture a jam-packed beach at peak sunset and frame it as if we were the only two people there. At first, we were both apprehensive when we saw the number of people that would undoubtedly be staring at us during our photo session, but almost immediately Mark made us both feel comfortable and even excited that we’d be the stars of everyone’s beach day. We were splashing in the ocean, rolling around in the sand, and overall having a blast while Mark captured our candid selves with a smile on his face. (Our engagement photos are incredible). Then came the big day…you know, the wedding? We spoke with Mark beforehand and emphasized the importance of us being present at the event and wanting to be able to share the experience with our family and friends vs having our wedding being a big photo session. Mark and his team of professionals could not have possibly done a better job at listening to us, and truly shaping their photography around what we were looking for. Our wedding photos are filled with smiles, dancing, cheering, and tears of joy. They were kind, patient, attentive, and all around a joy to be around and have at the wedding. Mark is the real deal.

We really enjoyed working with Mark and his team! It was impossible to pick our favorite wedding photo because there were so many great options. Stand out moment was that he didn’t catch an important shot the he liked so he had us do a redo - it meant a lot that he knew that a pic of the smashing the glass part of the ceremony was important to us. Mark and his talented team at Unveiled helped capture our wedding day as well as our engagement in the most wonderful way. From the first phone call, we knew that our photography would be in good hands. Unveiled was great with coordinating the engagement session as well as the day-of, and worked supremely well with our Wedding Coordinator, Holly Kalkin, to make sure that the shots most important to us would be able to be captured. There are a lot of different styles and fashions involved with wedding photography, as we rapidly found out, and Unveiled made sure to walk us through their timeless approach to both the shots themselves and the careful retouching to help correct the odd reflection or misplaced leaf. Every step of the way we felt reassured and confident which was well placed as the timely-delivered results were incredible. Through a secure download link, full resolution photos of the entire event were rapidly available to our friends and family (after our careful perusing before we extended the link) who were blown away. Mark and his team beautifully captured key moments of our wedding, decor shots (for when you really want to revisit if the turquoise napkin was the right choice years from now), and the heart-warming candid moments of our guests. We're looking forward to revisiting the happiest day of our lives for years to come thanks to this wonderful team.

Mark went above and beyond for us in multiple ways and is clearly a professional who has handled every situation a wedding could offer. Long story short, he delivered incredible photos we will cherish forever while also handling everything professionally and with care. We had last minute changes, our venue got rain, and he still managed to give us the best photos my wife and I have of us. He has a great eye and directed us in a way that let us be ourselves and capture our connection with each other while also making sure all angles and lighting was on point. He knows all the good spots, and when another wedding party tried to hop on our spot, he politely made sure they knew we had to finish our session and never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable in any way. In general he's a good guy and was super communicative during the entire process, including our back and forth last minute calls trying to sort out logistics. Our already hectic experience had at least one solid factor, which was the photos which most agree are half the point of a wedding in the first place! Anyway, we highly highly recommend Mark and if we got married a second time we'd hire him again!

Honestly, my husband and I could have not chosen a better photographer to work with for our big day. Mark not only worked around our crazy families but he was also always available to answer questions. Everyone of my guests complimented us on how impress they were with the photographer and his assistant. These guys literary were everywhere and got every shot possible. Mark was hands down the best money spent at our entire wedding! My husband and I got married in Imperial Valley and found Mark through The Knot. After having a few phone calls with him, it was clear he had the vision and organization we were looking for. When we met him on the day of our wedding, we were not disappointed. I am a photographer, so I had really high standards for my wedding photographer. I had calls with so many different photographers before I settled on Mark - and he absolutely delivered. The most important things for me for my wedding photographer was that the photos would be timeless and the quality would be high. I found Mark to be the most technically solid, detail-focused photographer I've met and he definitely delivered on my requests. He makes sure that every shot is in focus and exactly as he wants it to be, and has a very high standard of quality. He also shows up early to scout and plan out where photos will be, rather than taking time to decide once it's go-time. He also helps so much with the timeline (down to the minute!) before sending invitations out. I also had some specific photos I requested, and he made sure to capture them perfectly. He captured my "minimony" last year during Covid and also my "big" wedding this year, and I am absolutely in love with all of the photos!!!

We booked Mark and his team for our wedding in April 2021. Mark was very organized. I appreciated the timetable he put together for us so that we could consider the photographs when we were putting together our wedding itinerary. Mark was amazing! I booked him last minute when I lost confidence in my original booking. He took time to explain what the other didn’t (lighting issues, etc) and even brought an assistant to help with morning shadows/lighting concerns. His work was amazing as well. We love our pictures!

Mark was a professional and bent over backwards (literally) from start to finish. Our wedding would likely have had a ton of scheduling issues without him. Never did I realize the importance of timing on photography during a wedding until I met Mark. He has an extreme passion to give you the very best photography he possibly can and will lay everything out, but he is also compassionate about how you feel and will work with you to ensure the timeline works for everyone. He gave an extremely detailed timeline, where to be, when and I couldn't be happier with the results of our photography. He kept AMAZING communication throughout the entire process, provided us a ton of photos (nearly 800 photos, and of those 800 I would say there were two photos that were 9/10 and the remaining photos 10/10.)

I can not begin to say enough wonderful things about Mark! He was professional, and compassionate in a stressful time. We are so happy with our engagement photos! Upon our initial contact up until the end of the shoot, Mark was very responsive and very flexible. We wanted pictures on the beach and he was very knowledgeable about timing of the sunset and the tides. We added another challenge to the shoot- our large and energetic one year old puppy, and Mark was very patient and skillfully included him in our shots. We received our photos shortly after and I couldn't stop looking at them! The sunset photos were incredible and I love all of the candid shots that he took. A while back I had some head shots done by Mark at Unveiled and the process was painless the the photos turned out great! Soon after doing these photos I actually got engaged. After seeing the results from the portrait session and looking at Mark’s wedding work, we decided to book him for our engagement session and wedding photos. We received the engagement photos and the wedding pics couldn’t be happier! We didn’t know where we should do the engagement session and Mark suggested a few spots, and we chose a beach location. We did the session around the La Jolla area and the variety of photos we got was great. He did poses of us looking at the camera of course, but also fun shots of us interacting and walking on the beach, and then some nice shots at sunset time as well. For the wedding Mark was great to work with as well. He did a timeline consultation prior to the wedding and worked with our coordinator to make sure everything was going to go off as planned with no stress on the day. He also checked out the locations early and knew exactly where he wanted to shoot come time for the poses on the day of the wedding. Since we had a church ceremony, and time was limited for poses afterwards (and we wanted to mingle with our family and guests at cocktail hour), we did a 1st look and some of our poses prior at a park. Between those photos and the ones Mark and his assistant took around sunset time, we have a great selection of poses of the the two of us (plus all the usual family photos). For the rest of the wedding day Mark and the other photographer were very unobtrusive and captured a ton of candid shots during the cocktail hour through the reception. We have a large selection of candids of our families and friends, as well as a huge variety of fun dancing photos! Mark is super friendly and easy to work with. If you’re looking for a solid photographer who works hard on the day and is also fun and personable, Mark is definitely a perfect choice and I highly recommend him!

Mark is a great photographer and so easy to work with! He is extremely detail orientated and professional, but still fun to work with to come up with great photos. The main thing I was nervous about with a photographer was that they didnt make the wedding day all about pictures, we wanted to enjoy our day and be with our guests as well. Mark was great with that! He kept us on track, but was great about staying in the background at times and letting us and our guests enjoy themselves. I eould highly recommend Mark.

Mark at Unveiled Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with! From our first conversation, I knew he would be our wedding photographer! We had Mark and Ryan to shoot our wedding and they were awesome! First of all, unveiled photography has the best indoor and outdoor phots. I browsed pages after pages of galleries on Yelp and Google. Unveiled had the best balance of light, shadow, and color for indoors, while the outdoors are always excellent. Mark is also fantastic at capturing different angles and moments, including the wonderful laughing moments of my mom who refuses to smile in front of a camera. I knew that unveiled is the wedding photography I wanted to go with before I knew anything else about my wedding. Second of all, Mark does an absolutely detailed and perfect time analysis. I never thought of how important it is. But the time line actually eventually became the most essential thing in my while wedding. It's not just about the sunset and lighting, most importantly it controlled everyone's stress. We had plenty time for photo shoot, hang out with guests, eat and play. I was so happy to find unveiled and got to work with Mark and his team! I can't say enough of good things :)

We booked unveiled as our photographer for our outdoor wedding and it was a great choice. Mark was very professional and provided so much experience. I appreciated all the detail in the timeline planning. We had planned a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony and reception in sunny San Diego and unfortunately ended up with very unexpected rain that poured the entire day. We received the edited photos in less than the 5 weeks as promised per contract. I was blown away by the way he was able to capture the special moments without making the rain looking like an issue at all. He truly is a talented photographer. This is the Photographer you are looking for! I contacted several photographers, and after letting them know I had a budget and it was going to be a Star Wars wedding... most seemed to be ‘ok’ with the idea of a Star Wars wedding, but not willing to work with me on my budget. Mark took the time to talk to me, he explained what he could do -which was nice after hearing what all the others couldn’t do. He said he had just the guy to shoot my wedding, Paul. Mark and I had several conversations, he is extremely knowledgeable about the flow/timeline of a wedding. We agreed on a price, and he sent out the contract and asked for me to come up with a photo list-all the pics you want to make sure they get. Mine was REALLY long, he was extremely patient and professional and we worked on getting it down to something they could actual manage in the time they had. Cut to the day of the wedding, all that detail and planning flew out of my head, but Paul and his asst Ghia took over! Ghia was reassuring and calming, AND was able to make sure we were getting in all those pics I wanted. And then there’s Paul, wow! First of all, he is professional, kind, and has a really great eye! If he asks for your shoes, your bouquet or your rings... just hand them over!!! He took the most amazing pics and really captured the love and joy of the day!! Ghia, Paul and Mark were the photographers I was looking for!! I highly recommend them!!
