Up North Perfection were amazing to work with, Dawn always had good communication. The girls did an amazing job with hair and makeup, myself and bridal party all felt so beautiful that day, they were very professional! Highly Recommend!

Bryanne did an amazing job on my bridal makeup and the makeup for my mom and sister. She was so kind and understanding and listened to exactly what we were going for. She was great and I highly recommend her!

The team did an incredible job for my wedding at the Perry Hotel. They were so efficient and friendly. I’m very particular about my hair and makeup and they truly delivered perfectly! Highly recommend for onsite wedding hair and makeup. 10/10

I hired Up North Perfection to do my makeup for my wedding and I was so happy with the results! Erma, was fantastic and I loved the glamorous natural look she created for my special day. Tori did my bridesmaids hair, which they all loved as well!! You will not regret using them for your wedding- I truly enjoyed them.

Dawn is the owner, and was very sweet, and respectful to work with. On the day of my trial, I was doing it during my Bachelorette party weekend because I am from out of town, so all of my girls were with me, and there was no fuss from her on letting them into the salon with me. She even provided us with Mimosas, which was SUCH a nice and kind surprise! I was very happy with my airbrush make-up on the day of the trial and the day of our wedding, however I was disappointed that it was not done by the same girl, mainly because I was not informed that they would be different. Shannon, the lady that did my hair, I thought was absolutely incredible!!! However, the week before my wedding, Shannon messaged me herself to inform me that she no longer works for the company and would likely not be doing my hair for wedding day. I panicked because with having very long hair, I am very very particular when it comes to people doing my hair, and I simply didn't want anyone else to do it. While I was disappointed that Dawn didn't tell me this herself, being the owner, she was able to make and agreement with Shannon and allowed her to do my wedding in order to uphold the contract. That professionalism and respect I was very pleased and thankful for. I have no regrets with this company and my wedding!!

Dawn's team really made my wedding party and myself so beautiful. They did an incredible job! They traveled from Traverse City to Boyne and was able to get us all ready in time! Dawn was also really great to work and communicate with. Highly recommend!

Dawn was super easy to work with. She was always quick to respond and extremely accommodating. Mariah and Kayla did the makeup for us and Stephanie did hair. They were all great. Mariah took the time to understand what look I wanted and did such a good job. Stephanie is so talented with hair! I just showed her a picture and she nailed it. They’re also a fun group! Would highly recommend!

I hired Up North Perfection for my wedding and it was great!! I did my hair and makeup trial and the stylists really worked with me especially with my thin hair on what exactly I wanted done. I had Dawn for my hair and it was perfect! My hair stayed in place all night and I never felt like I had to worry about fixing it. Mariah was my makeup artist and she was AMAZING! My makeup also stayed all night without needing to touch up anything. She was so helpful on the wedding day when someone needed something. She literally had everything you could think of that you might need the day of the wedding. Dawn, Mariah, and their team showed up on time and finished everyone's hair and makeup on time as well. They made me feel so beautiful, I'm so glad I chose Up North Perfection for my special day.

Up North Perfection was absolute perfection! I met Dawn and some of her team at the Castle Farm Wedding Expo. They were so kind, their work looked amazing, and they fairly priced, so I instantly booked them. For my wedding, I had an extremely large party that included 14 women who wanted hair, make-up, and eyelashes done. Everyone enjoyed the pampering and the stylists finished early, so we were not crunched for time. Dawn was great to work with when organizing the services! All the stylists were fantastic and a joy to spend the morning with. Everyone was kind, positive, and in the end everyone looked stunning! I would like to give a special shout out to Tori (hair) and Francis (makeup) for providing me with the perfect look for my wedding day, I truly felt like a princess! I highly recommended booking them for any special occasion!

Dawn's team does an INCREDIBLE job. I am a wedding planner in the area and Up North Perfection was my first choice. They are so accommodating and came right out to my house which was so convenient for the girls. I cannot thank them enough. I LOVED my hair. I highly recommend them.

Frannie was my on site make up artist and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was efficient, caring, friendly, and did BEAUTIFUL makeup that fit each lady's personality. I loved it and she made my face look the best its ever looked on my big day. I'd give 15 stars if I could.

Frances and Trisha did a great job for me, the girls and my mom last Sat. They arrived on time, set up everything quickly, so we had no rush at all. Everybody turned out beautiful and natural, and my makeup and hairstyle was beyond my expectation. I did not have to ask them to adjust anything other than some final touch ups. And it lasted all day for me. All the pictures turned out great!

The girls were absolutely lovely! Their hair and make up skill were right on trend and myself and my bridesmaids all loved our look!

Up North Perfection did a fantastic job on all my girls this past Saturday! Everyone’s hair and make up looked fantastic, and we all achieved the look we hoped for. I am a very picky person,and hair and make up is a big deal for me. Ariana did make up. Tori did hair—both were great! Dawn is also very good at communicating back to you promptly about any of your questions. Book them. Also, be careful at trials. I had mine done and actually didn’t like it, but it was me overthinking. Day of. Everyone was flawless!!

I am SO behind with my reviews but promise it's not because they were less than stellar. I got married 09.30.17 at Harbor Lights Resort in Frankfort. Being that I was doing so much of my own decor and becoming a step mom to 2 girls, it was important to me to have a full service salon come to me. I reveived a call about 45 minutes out to let me know they were on their way which was reassuring for once that I did not have to follow up on a vendor! I came racing in from the beach, still needing to shower and right away Meg and Mary put me at ease. "We are good, take a shower, breathe." I will also mention we are all from the Metro Detroit area and I had not done any trials but I had shared my one picture with Dawn and knew through a few emails I would be well taken care of. Mary did everyone's makeup natural elegance even including my 11 year old step daughter. Meg was a gem with all of us girls that showed a picture and 20 minutes later hair magic! Even was easy going with the few of us that changed AFTER she was done and needed parts done a different direction. They are priced perfect for their services and attention to detail. I loved that I kept my business local and small. I highly recommend Up North Perfection for any occasion. They are what their name says, PERFECTION!

Up North Perfection is very reasonably priced but ultimately I wish I would have spent the extra amount and went elsewhere. My make-up looked absolutely fabulous for the wedding but my hair fell out before I even walked down the aisle. My bridesmaids were having to re-pin because the hair stylist had left. During the trial I was told that Meg would be doing my hair and make-up and only one additional service for someone else. On the day of the wedding she did my hair and make-up, my mom's hair and make-up, and my cousin's hair. I think because she did much more than originally planned she had to rush my services and therefore my hair was not secure enough. I have reached out to Dawn a couple times and Meg was supposed to call me to remedy the situation, which has not happened. Given hair is so important for pictures I would recommend going elsewhere.

Dawn did my hair and makeup for my wedding. She also traveled quite a distance to do it. She did an amazing job. I highly recommend her! Thanks Dawn. It was a pleasure working with you.

Dawn was great to work with throughout our planning process leading up to my wedding. I had a need for a few girls to get their hair and makeup done and loved that the girls would travel to where we were getting ready. We all loved the girls that came on my wedding day... Nati is super talented with makeup as is Kaylee with hair!

What an incredible job! Dawn is GREAT, super communicative and contracts the women out. The ladies who came to do hair and makeup were incredible. They were so friendly, easy to talk to and hang out with, super efficient, and made sure that you were happy with their work. All of my bridesmaids looked stunning and my make up (hair was done by my matron of honor) was BEAUTIFUL. It wasn't too much or appeared to be caked on, it was truly flawless. I have gotten so many compliments on how great my make up was. I HIGHLY recommend this company if you're anywhere, up north or downstate. Their prices are great and the travel fee is small. You will love the company for your big day :).

Dawn, the owner, is amazing!! She is so responsive, usually answering my emails within the hour. There were a few scheduling hiccups with my trial and week of, but Dawn let me know the solution before the problem and kept me updated all the time! I can't rave enough about them! Highly recommend!

Dawn, Contracts out ladies from the area to come to your location and do hair & make-up... I was so nervous because they didn't have any reviews... Her prices are very reasonable... I had my trial with Meg & fell in love ; She is so nice & made me feel so beautiful, I was ready to walk down the aisle right then and there, I was so excited! :) HOWEVER, when it came to my wedding I was let down. Meg showed up and began working immediately, the 2 other girls were late and had to rush to get thru everyone... My hair was done by Meg again but unlike at my hair trial, it was not curled and did not get product put in it due to lack of time so my hair was frizzy and did not look like I had hoped. My flower girl wanted a bun and the other hair stylist did it and it looked awful. Meg had to re do it while I was getting my make up done. The make up artist did great but she was also late. The worst part was they left before they put my veil in and we didn't know how, it came out twice while walking down the aisle which was a true embarrassment. I was never contacted by Dawn the owner after to see how everthing went. I would NOT recommend this business.

I booked Up North Perfection for my wedding day a few months ago and it was perfect. I live downstate, but made the trip up this Spring because having a trial run was so important and I'm glad I did. There was some minor hiccups (didn't get a makeup trial due to an unseen circumstance), and I wasn't super confident with the stylist that did my original trial run, though I'm partly to blame because I did go in with a clear vision. I ended up doing a second trial a few months later (the make-up was discounted due to the initial trial), and I loved the stylist! She understood my vision and made me feel completely at ease. Dawn was very quick when responding to my emails and informed me I would have two hair stylists and one makeup artist on the wedding day. We had 8 of us getting ready and they got us all done within 3.5 hours. My girls felt and looked beautiful, which is everything I could have hoped for. Our hair and make-up held up for the entire day, despite all the celebratory dancing! They was a perfect choice for an on-location beauty team and you won't regret it if you choose them!

I had a contract with up north perfection in traverse city to do my hair(bride) plus 4 bridesmaids and needed all 5 to get done in 3 hours. Up north perfection had made contact with me that there will be 2 stylists that will be coming to do hair.. Great... But when 10am came on my wedding day I go in the house where we were getting ready and there is only ONE stylist. No warning before this time! When asked where the other one was told the one stylist is all that is coming! Something had happened to the other stylists family... Sry to hear.. But they did not have a back up plan! So just a heads up and lean from my experience .. Make sure your vendors have a contingency plan if something were to happen. My girls and I felt so rushed in addition to the added STRESS!

Natia and Dawn were amazing to work with. Dawn was always quick to respond to any questions I had up to my wedding day. And Natia did my makeup for my trial and my wedding. She also did some of my bridesmaids makeup. Everyone looked so beautiful! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for airbrush. Plus Natia is such a sweetheart. She will make you feel so beautiful.
