We hired Up2Somethin' for our August 2025 wedding in Canandaigua and they were amazing! Rickey was incredibly responsive throughout the whole process and made everything really easy. Their performance was AMAZING! Guests of all ages were on the dance floor all night. The amount of messages my husband and I received following the wedding saying how much fun the band was was incredible! They also came early for us and their sound company provided all the sound for our ceremony. I would highly recommend Up2Somethin' for anyone looking for a wedding band in the Rochester area!

We booked Up2Somethin for our wedding and let me tell you guests were on the dance floor all night! Their set list has the groove and funk and pop that will keep people dancing all night. We got so many compliments on the band throughout the night. Rickey was an absolute pleasure to work with. Evyn’s voice was just stunning. And Ron killed it on the trumpet. Everyone killed it! 11/10 recommend! We can’t wait to continue to see them play in Rochester.

party going all night!! The MC was perfect with everything!! All my friends and family were blown away by how great the band was! I can’t say enough about them from communication, punctuality, talent, and just being super great people. You get a DJ for dinner service and when the band takes a break, MC for announcements and the band for party time! They did everything flawless even when they were unconventional wedding traditions. Rickey was great to work with! Highly recommend to anyone getting married!

the whole night we didn’t want to stop. Any of our questions or concerns they were happy to address and always got back to us right away. It was so much fun choosing our songs and making the timeline. Everything went so smoothly. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about them! Excellent musicians and performers. ktail hour and a 7 piece band with saxophone & female vocalist for the evening. They have great vocals, so much experience and energy...everyone stayed on the dance floor until the end of the night. Rickey Ellis, the band leader is terrific to work with, he handled all the details and kept us organized and on schedule, the whole evening was a great experience. Evyn is the female vocalist and she really has a beautiful voice!, we were so happy to have her, Rickey and the entire band. Not only are they talented, but they were super personal and a pleasure to be around. The band interacted with the guests and it was obvious that they enjoyed being part of our special day and it was not just another job. I would highly recommend Up2Somethin!
