ugh but Ashlie made me look beautiful! I had a hair and makeup trial in January of 2023 and I was not totally in love with the makeup look at my first trial so I had a second trial with Ashlie again a few weeks later and she listened to every change I wanted to make and the second trial turned out perfectly! I also was very indecisive about my hair and at the trial I thought I wanted a half up half down look but I ended up asking Jennifer to do all down voluminous curls on the day of the wedding and it turned out perfect! Ashlie and Jennifer were a great team on the day of the wedding and brought such fun energy to the day! Ashlie is the life of the party and will sing to you while making you forget about any nerves you may have. Haley Hiss was my stylist for both weddings and she is truly the best. Haley was early for the day, ready to roll and completed 8 wedding day hair looks not only on time but ahead of schedule! During my trial, I had discussed wanting a hair change (party pony) for reception and she walked my sister through the steps and again on wedding day. She even left the products we would need to complete it. Haley goes above and beyond for her brides which you feel as soon as you are in her presence. hairdresser who was supposed to highlight my hair a week before the wedding CANCELLED!!! I panicked especially since it’s impossible to get a new appointment within 5 days. Haley was a hero and made some phone calls and got me in with a new hairdresser who ended up being amazing.
Haley really took the time to listen to me and made sure my hair and makeup felt natural and that I felt like myself. I wasn’t sure about hair extensions and fake eyelashes, but after my trial and certainly after my wedding, I was so happy Haley showed me both versions! I didn’t know that hair extensions and fake eyelashes could look so natural! Haley made me feel like every detail was just as important to her as it was to me! Thank you!!!

I absolutely loved using UpDos For I Dos for my wedding, and would 100% recommend them to anyone else who is looking for a hair and makeup service. First of all, they were very responsive to my questions when I was first trying to find a hair a...
nd makeup artist where others surprisingly were not. I also loved that they were super upfront about pricing and made it so easy for me to figure out exactly how everything would fit into my budget. I think it helps that they have multiple people answering emails so I always had a quick response. It's also really nice that they have multiple artists, so you know you're covered in case anything happens the day of. Next, they were very good about letting me know any deadlines, when I should schedule my hair and makeup trial, and keeping the contract updated based on any changes that I made. The trial also went so well - both artists did exactly what I wanted, and they were extremely responsive to any changes I wanted made. They also made notes about what I wanted during the trial, which made the actual wedding day so much more smooth, where I didn't have to remember anything.
Then on the wedding day, Heather and Ashley showed up early with everything they needed and got set up to start right on time. They were very efficient and made sure everyone was happy with their look - Ashley even re-did my mom's hair when it was a little tight for her, and made sure that my mom was happy. They even stayed a little bit later than they were supposed to (totally my family's fault) to make sure everyone who had signed up got their hair and makeup done. Then I had forgotten to bring any lipstick at all with me and Heather was so nice and gave me the new lipstick she had used on me (even though that was not part of the package at all). My makeup stayed the ENTIRE night, even though I sweat a lot! And my hair lasted through three hours of dancing! The entire time Heather and Ashley were so professional and kind; I highly recommend this company for anyone looking!

had 20 people! yes 20 people! get hair and makeup done and we finished right on time - there was absolutely no stress at all with this. In addition, they do services for men and people of color, which was hard to find in this area. My group was so diverse (black women in my bridal party, my MIL is Indian with thick hair down to her bottom, as examples) and everyone was very pleased with how they looked. The goal was for everyone to feel comfortable and beautiful and that is exactly what happened! I could not recommend them more. And of course, something will go wrong on your wedding day (for me we had some illnesses remove people from attendance) and they were really flexible with subbing out people to have their services instead. vous and defeated. I had experience with Updos previously when they did my hair and makeup for my best friend's wedding 5 years ago. They did a fantastic job then, and I realized that we should have just gone with them in the first place despite the commute. My mom had the worst experience during her trial with our first salon, so was extremely nervous about our trial with Updos. Andy had us cracking up from the start, and Amanda was so kind and welcoming. They both made us feel so comfortable and we were so relieved when we saw the final outcome. We felt like movie stars! It was so easy to book with Updos and they were so kind despite some unusual circumstances and late notice on our part.
The day of the wedding, the team showed up right on time to our venue in Pennsylvania and got down to business with my huge bridal party. Each of my 12 (!) bridesmaids are extremely different, but the team listened to their wishes thoughtfully and made them all feel beautiful. Amanda did an amazing job with my mom's hair, including adding a halo; which was fantastic because my mom was worried about her hair. Finally, my makeup and hair made me truly feel the most beautiful I have ever felt. My sister chose my dress for me because I loved wearing fairy princess dresses constantly growing up. The combination of my hair, makeup, and dress made me feel like a fairy princess. Andy, Amanda, and the team were so fun to dance and get ready with and were so kind throughout the whole experience. I truly can't recommend them enough.

The stylists and the make up artists were efficient and responsive to feedback and concerns from each of us, and made sure that we were all happy with our looks before moving on to the next person. The groom also got his hair styled along with myself and the bridesmaids, and they did a great job with his hair as well. Everyone I interacted with at Updos for I Dos was friendly, polite, and helpful. When the original hair stylist I had my trial with fell ill, the team at Updos for I Dos immediately found me replacements who filled in perfectly. Overall, I was extremely happy with my experience with Updos for I Dos, and I’m really glad I found them for my wedding!

Initially seemed to go well. Bride had selected an up-do, we sent pictures and went for a trial. Hair was very nice from the back but looked undone from the front. Asked if we needed another trial or could we just make suggestions on the day...
of - went with day of. Hair and makeup showed up at 8:00 am for a 5:00 PM wedding. Personally, I thought this was a tad early, but we went with it as they are the professionals not us. Make up was fantastic. Hair not so much. Lots of flyaways and falling curls (hot mess was used by someone). Most of the bridesmaids re-curled their hair later (there was plenty of time). The bride’s hair (the back) looked nothing like the trial hair we had loved so much. The rating is primarily for the makeup. If I had to do this again, I probably wouldn’t waste my money on hair.

s contract was booked 30 days prior to the wedding and we did everything we could to accommodate the short lead time to the big day. We were able to facilitate a trial appointment in the short period of time. Trial appointments are an imperative part of the process in nailing down the Hair & Makeup for the wedding day. Honest feedback is vital to ensure that we can nail the overall look and sometimes a second trial is required if multiple looks want to be considered. It’s important to factor in scheduling a trial when you decide to secure a professional beauty team for the getting ready experience on the wedding day.
We were only made aware that you weren’t quite happy with the Hair portion of the trial only after we reached out to confirm the final details of the wedding day which was 2 weeks after you were in for a trial. We did offer the opportunity to set another time to do a trial. Unfortunately, our offer was ignored. Without clear & proper communication, it’s difficult to provide an appropriate solution. This may have included providing another Hairstylist that better suits your needs. Additionally, we asked for feedback so that we could prepare for the tweaks and adjustments to made the day of the wedding. Upon completion of the wedding day services we were told everyone was thrilled and no further adjustments needed to be made.
Lastly, regarding the start & end times of the services - that is often pre-determined by certain events in the timeline and is clearly stated on the contract upon booking. As before, we were not informed that the start time was too early and could have easily made the appropriate adjustments based on the needs of the day and the clients’ preferences. It is a team effort.
With that being said, client satisfaction is VERY important to us. And we take each negative review as an opportunity to learn - we will pass this feedback to the Hairstylist.

I also can’t emphasize enough the quality of their work. Our wedding day from start of hair/makeup to the end of our reception was 14 hours. Our hairstylist, Jessica B, and makeup artist, Laura, both did an amazing job in making sure everyone’s look lasted from the early morning pictures well into our evening reception. It turns out I really liked Jess's work, and she was available so they assigned her to us! Our hair trial was simple and personal, and I loved the style she created. It only took one attempt! She replicated this look beautifully on my wedding day. We also did a hair trial for my mom, who is very sensitive about how she looks, and Jess was super patient and sweet. I cannot say enough good things. On the big day, Jess was efficient but quality was not lacking. All of my girls had fun with her and loved their styles.
