Uppercase L Photography

So we haven’t even had our wedding yet, but I already know that Amanda is amazing. We had our engagement shoot and she was unbelievably flexible with scheduling (a week day was going to be very tough for us) She made us feel so comfortable and we got our pictures so quickly and still with the best quality. Also she has been unbelievably responsive and willing to answer my any question. I have no doubt she will be even more amazing on our wedding day! She also shares a love for winter so when it was cold and snowy during our engagement shoot and embraced it with such joy I knew she was the perfect fit for us!

Amanda did our engagement photos, my boudoir photos, and most recently our wedding photos this last summer. I have started to write this review several times but always end up deleting and starting over because I feel like I can never find the words to truly describe the work Amanda does and the relationships she develops with her clients. I found Amanda on Instagram (before I was even engaged) because I love following photographers and seeing all of their incredible creativity and art. And that's what I loved when I found Amanda, her unique eye and ability to capture sincere, genuine moments that were more than just a photo. So when I got engaged, she was the first contact I made after telling all of my family and friends... and we even changed our wedding date so that I could have my dream photographer. Mind you... Amanda is based in Minnesota and I live in southern Iowa lol so all of my family and friends told me I was crazy and "really? you couldn't just find someone local?" Never have I ever been so glad I stuck with my gut and didn't let anyone talk me out of what I wanted. Amanda is a dream, and so easy to work with. She got my husband... someone who admits he's not a fan of taking photos... to loosen up and enjoy himself and the experience. My boudoir photos were incredible, and Amanda (and Samantha!) were so genuinely hyped that it took away any insecurity that I felt. That was another plus, because Samantha was our second shooter for the wedding and I got to meet her at my boudoir photos which was so fun! Anytime I had a question about the wedding or needed advice (even non-photography related lol) she was always just a text or email away and always willing to help. She drove all the way down to Iowa for our engagement photos because I wanted them taken on our farm and she made the 5+ hour drive and took our photos in the scorching heat... WITH A FEVER! She is a trooper through and through. Our wedding day was also a scorcher... the actual hottest day of 2019 in Iowa at 115 degrees. She was patient and had a plan that helped us all stay cool while still getting the most amazing photos. She's great with stubborn and sassy groomsmen as well and handles everything with patience and a fantastic sense of humor. We're coming up on a year and I still laugh and cry looking through our photos because of all of the amazing memories she captured throughout the day. I now consider Amanda a friend and I'm so thankful she was there to help me through one of the most special days of my life. The service and the end product are worth every penny of your investment. My thoughts were always, why spend so much money on all these other parts of your wedding and not on the part that will help you remember that day forever?

Having Amanda as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made about our wedding. I look back at our photos and am still SO HAPPY almost two years later. She is an incredible photographer and her photos are beautiful. She sent me a sneak peak the morning after our wedding and it's still by far my favorite photo ever--I just knew the rest were going to be amazing! Aside from being an incredibly talented photographer she is an amazing person and working with her for our wedding was amazing. She is so kind, funny, personable, and easy to work with. She got along so well with our bridal party, our family, all our guests. I can't emphasize enough how great she is. I would recommend her to anyone over and over!

Amanda was an amazing photographer for our engagement photos. Her photos really captured our personalities and she had unique skills to capture genuine moments and make us feel at ease . I wish we could have used her for our wedding photos but we moved to Ohio! Highly recommend her!!!!

I cannot rave about Uppercase L enough!!! I used her for engagement, boudoir, and wedding photos! First off, her kind, fun personality is so great to work with throughout the entire engagement as well as the wedding! Everyone at my wedding loved her and her ability to make everyone relax and have fun during all the photo sessions! She knows how to remove all awkwardness during any situation and just makes you feel joyful and confident. Not only was she helpful with photo plans, but was also totally willing to help me with any wedding advice I had in general (it’s almost like you get a photographer and wedding planner in one 😉)! And then there’s the photos in general... I cannot believe how FAST and how MANY photos she gave me from my sessions! You can tell that she genuinely loves her job and she’s excited to give her clients all her BEAUTIFUL photos! Somehow she gets the perfect shots, angles, and scenery, and she’s able to capture the genuine happiness that everyone feels on your wedding day ❤️ This chick literally made a parking lot photo shoot look like a beautiful outdoor adventure 😂 Using Amanda was one of the best choices I made for my wedding day and now I feel like I can look through all my pictures and relive my perfect wedding day that went by way too fast!

I cannot express enough how absolutely amazing Amanda is! If you are looking for a wedding/engagement photographer, don’t look any further - Amanda is your girl! She is incredibly talented and so fun to work with! Our entire wedding party was raving about how fun she is to work with (and so funny!). Amanda was a huge reason as to why our wedding day ran so smoothly. She is so organized and just gets it. And she is super flexible and accommodating to last minute changes to details and scheduling. We had a gray and rainy wedding day, but Amanda kept us laughing and smiling all day long! She danced in the rain with us and totally helped keep the positivity flowing with us and our friends + family. Despite the rain, our pictures turned out gorgeous! She is SO talented! She truly made all of our wedding photo dreams come to life! Thank you so much, Amanda! We can’t recommend you enough!

We had Amanda as our engagement photographer and our wedding photographer and were thrilled with our decision! Amanda is so personable; it feels like you're working with your best friend. She is extremely talented and her photos are incomparable. We received previews back the night of our wedding and we love every single one of them. Amanda is so talented. She creates amazing memories through her photos, and makes the photo shoots so much fun. If you are worried at all about taking photos she puts you at ease the second the session begins.

Amanda and Tricia did an amazing job for my wedding. They made sure we got amazing photos, got every photo we requested and were there to capture every special moment. They made everyone feel comfortable, beautiful and special with each and every photo they took. I can't say anymore good things about this company. I can't wait to see all the wedding photos they captured. The sneak peeks have just blown me away so far.
