My husband and I were unhappy with the music at our wedding. We requested Top 40, Classic Salsa, some slow songs and wanted dance music all night long. We're Puerto Rican from New York and were looking forward to an amazing latin dance party. Instead, he played 90s music and tunes that one would bop their head to in their car, but not dance to. He played songs like "Spice Girls, If you wanna be my lover." and, "I'm too sexy for my shirt!" I was really looking forward to dancing to today's latest hits at our wedding, but he fell very short of that request. In the middle of the event, I went up to him and kindly asked if he would please play more modern songs, to which he replied "yea I'm getting there, go downstairs and enjoy the party." I didn't know how to take that response at the moment, but sadly the music never improved. He did play the songs that we took the time to enter into his website database as "Must Play". And I was told that he would fill the playlist with songs of the same/ similar genre based on the songs we entered as a guide. When you're planning a wedding, who has time to enter 6 hours worth of music selections? That's what we hired a professional DJ for!!! Also, a month before the wedding, he introduced a Singer to my wedding, (instead of a dancer as originally agreed) who was very talented, but sadly no one even noticed that there was a live singer. Besides the 2 songs that I heard her sing, she was on her phone for most of the party. And to top it all off, he also played songs that I specifically asked him not to play at my wedding. We were not happy, and our guests didn't like the music either.
