Upstate Strings was absolutely phenomenal to work with! Natalie was so organized, kind, and willing to make our special day exactly how we envisioned it. Music is very important to me, so I was so extremely thrilled that we had beautiful music played by live musicians at our wedding ceremony. The musicians arrived early for set up, and closely followed the events of the ceremony to make sure the music matched what was happening. I love how I was able to select any song and even if the songs I chose weren't already in their repertoire, it was arranged for my big day.
Would 100% recommend Upstate Strings to play at your event! Thank you so much Natalie and the two musicians who played for our wedding ceremony!

Upstate Strings brought a great touch of elegance to our wedding. They were amazingly accommodating in working in our special requests. The music list on their website while not even scratch the surface of all could over. We were looking to incorporate some K-pop into our special day and they did a fantastic job transforming them into beautiful string music
We used Upstate Strings for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They played beautifully and a lot of our guests commented about how lovely the music was! We had great communication with Natalie leading up to the day! One negative experience was during our cocktail hour. Our venue had an outdoor and indoor cocktail area. The strings played outside and we were informed that they would bring a speaker so guests inside could also hear their music. Unfortunately this did not happen and luckily our DJ was able to play music inside. Overall, I would recommend!

Thanks so much, Jeanine! We actually did provide a full PA system -- When we arrived, the staff unfortunately would only let us set it up on the patio adjacent to our performance area, even though I asked to keep the patio doors open. So, we cr...
anked it as loud as we could (without blowing the patio guests away lol) and worked within the venue parameters as best as possible. :) We did also request the other music be turned off and asked the staff to keep us posted if any volume adjustments were needed. We had a blast celebrating with your guests and LOVED your song requests-- thanks so much again for having us!

When searching for a live violinist for our wedding ceremony, the first place I searched was The Knot. Upstate Strings is one of the first companies that I reached out to. After inquiring online, Natalie Spehar, the owner, reached out to me via email. Right away I could tell how professional and prompt she was. She answered all of my questions and was SO HELPFUL in every way possible. Although I knew nothing about violin music, she made me feel so comfortable. It was a "no doubts about it" decision in which I knew Upstate Strings was who I had to use for our big day. Prior to and after booking, Natalie, was there every step of the way. She was very organized and prompt. She even helped me put together what songs we wanted/order for them to be played and gave so many great suggestions. I can't say enough about Upstate Strings. If you are having any doubts, don't, they are absolutely amazing. Our violinist on the day-of was professional and played the most beautiful music. I would recommend anyone I know to go with Upstate Strings.
