I was so beyond happy with how my make up turned out on my wedding day! Cheyenne, was so friendly and fun. She made me feel like a princess! We had some privacy upstairs near a window, and it was relaxing from start to finish. I want to go back to have my make up done everyday now! Thank you Uptown Curl!

Kaila from Uptown Curl did my hair for my engagement photos. She did an outstanding job! At the time I had a orange tone to my hair after being red this past winter. I wanted to go back to being blonde in hopes that she could fix me before my engagement photos this fall and she perfected it. I could not be any happier and highly recommend all the staff at Uptown Curl!

Cheyenne did my hair for my sons wedding and I looked and felt great! She knows exactly what you are trying to accomplish. She also did my makeup. Just enough for photographs to highlight my features. She does a phenomenal job with highlights as well. Highly recommend all the stylist atUptown Curl. Ive used three so far and all are great! I had the absolute best experience with Uptown Curl for my wedding day! The ladies worked so hard on all of our hair and makeup - making sure it was exactly how we wanted it to look and that we felt our best. I don't even know where to begin! I met Cherish at a wedding event and after learning her salon not only exclusively uses PETA approved products, they also recycle all of their salon waste, I knew I had to visit Uptown Curl. I happened to be looking for a new salon for color maintenance and scheduled an appointment with Cheyenne. My hair never felt so healthy and looked so good! I already had booked a different salon for my wedding before meeting Cherish. I went for my hair trial at the other salon and long story short, at the end of the day I was left in tears and disappointment from my experience. I broke my contract with them and contacted Cherish for a bridal hair and makeup trial and she went above and beyond to make sure my hair and makeup was exactly like I wanted. Needless to say, I booked her and Nikki for my wedding and I am SO happy I did! On my wedding day they were prompt and very accommodating. They're very easy and comfortable to work and communicate with. Nikki nailed me and my wedding party's makeup and Cherish the same for hair. I felt like a princess on my wedding day! Not only that, my makeup and hair lasted the entire night- through 80 degree humid weather, cake smashing and countless hours of dancing. I'm so happy that I met Cherish when I did! I can't imagine what I would've done without her and Nikki. I recommend Uptown Curl 1,000 times over.

Uptown curl is the best around. They are personable and have incredible talent! They did my make up and hair for my cousins wedding and I could not have been more happy with it. Not only do they rock at up dos and make up but are they the only hair dressers that I’ve ever gone to in my 26 years of life that actually know how to cut and contain my very thick hair . I have never been so happy leaving the hair salon before. Plus you can see their schedules online and fit yourself in when its convenient for you<3

I got married on September 14, 2019, at The Bethel Inn. My day was absolutely perfect thanks to Shannon and Cherish at Uptown Curl. They made all 5 of my bridesmaids, my mother in law and nana feel like queens! My bridal hair and make up was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Cherish put a string of pearls (that have a huge meaning in my life) throughout my updo bun. I honestly feel like my updo was Pinterest worthy! It was absolutely STUNNING. Thank you so much Shannon and Cherish! Your timing was perfect, the quality of work was unbelievable. I would recommend you both over and over again.

Cherish did my wedding hair and makeup and it turned out better than I ever could have hoped for. All the girls there were so so sweet. They were even able to fit my mom in to get her makeup done the morning of my wedding because they had a cancellation. Everyone there was so nice and they really know what they’re doing! My makeup stayed on my whole wedding day (it was an outdoor wedding and it was windy) even through sweat and tears. My hair still looked perfect after all the wind and me ripping my veil off many times. I was extremely impressed and very grateful.

Uptown Curl was easy to work with from start to finish! I worked with Kelsey ahead of time to coordinate all logistics – she was very timely, professional and patient with all of my questions! I did a hair and make-up trial ahead of time with Cherish where she was also able to give me some helpful tips and ideas for my bridal party. On the day of the wedding, Cherish and her team (Shannon and Kaila) arrived at my venue right on time and were so efficient getting all of my bridal party, myself and my mom done ahead of schedule! Everyone looked GREAT! I tend to be very picky with my hair and I couldn’t have asked for it to turn out any better – the style was exactly as we had done in my trial and Cherish made a few updates to my make-up that were more summer-y and matched my tan. I highly recommend Uptown Curl if you are a bride-to-be! Although a bit pricey, it was worth every penny for how beautiful I felt and how they helped my day run smoothly and stress-free!!

My bridal party and I got our wedding hair and makeup done at Uptown Curl. We were a small enough party (just four of us) that we were able to have the entire upstairs to ourselves which I really liked. Bridal coordinator: I worked with their bridal coordinator Kelsey to plan out the trials and schedule for the wedding day. She was always very responsive and she went above and beyond getting some of my questions answered for me. Compared to other salons I contacted, Uptown Curl was by far the most professional and willing to help - thanks to Kelsey! Hair: Taylor was my hair stylist. She was really great. My hair is long and thin and curls don’t usually stay. But she ended up finding the right balance of enough hairspray to make my curls hold (which they did... on a super windy day, I might add!) but also not to the point where my hair looked too stiff. I showed her a picture of what I wanted with a twist in the back and she did something that was similar to it and quite beautiful. I was really, really happy with it! Makeup: They don’t do airbrushing which was a little disappointing at first but I decided to move forward with doing makeup with them since it was the most convenient and affordable option. Shannon was my makeup stylist. I showed her some pictures of a natural look that I wanted. She did awesome work, particularly with the eyes and I got exactly what I was looking for. I have some skin allergies so she was careful not to use anything that would make me break out. The makeup looked particularly great in the photos! Bonus: They are right next door to Pratt Abbott (where you can get your dress cleaned) and a small store with plenty of wine to buy for the weekend. :) I had a really great experience with Uptown Curl and I highly recommend them to anyone getting married in Kennebunkport!

I have been going to Uptown Curl for a few years to get normal haircuts. So when I knew I was getting married Cherish and her team was the first that came to mind. Cherish did a phenomenal job with my hair and make-up. I don't wear a lot of make-up normally, so it was important to get the right balance of looking good for photos, but not looking too made up. Cherish got it just right! I got so many complements! Cherish also did a great job with my bridal party, which consisted of 2 adults and a very active 10 year old who didn't want to sit still. I would recommend Cherish and any of her team to do any wedding. The services were professional, high quality and affordable.

Uptown Curl did a phenomenal job with hair and make-up for my September 2018 wedding! They had everyone from me, my MOH, and mothers of the bride/groom looking like the best version of themselves. Not only that--I had Cheyene do my eye lashes as well before the wedding which turned out stunning. These ladies are nothing short of spectacular! We all were going for a more natural look and they did just that. Not only are they amazing at what they do but they are fun to hang out with as well! They definitely added to the excitement and positive energy of the weekend. Would highly recommend to every bride getting married in the Kennebunk area--book them now!! I saw Cherish a few weeks ago on my wedding day and can't say enough good things about her and the salon as a whole. She perfectly executed my hair and make up and made me feel like the most beautiful bride. She's professional with an upbeat personality that help keep me calm during a crazy morning. The salon was so accommodating with our entire wedding party and everyone left happy and feeling beautiful!

Cherish was another bridesmaid to me. She made me feel how a bride should feel on her wedding day; happy, relaxed, and so excited! I showed her a picture of an updo I liked at my trial and she perfected it. On the wedding day she not only styled my hair and applied makeup to me but to my four bridesmaids as well! I highly recommend Uptown Curl to everyone. Cherish is so talented, I’ll always make the drive from Augusta to Kennebunk to see her!

These girls are absolutely fantastic! We first met about 3 months before the big day, as I was frantically in search for a fabulous hairstylist in Maine. (A bride from Massachusetts getting married in Maine) Cherish and Nicki did such an amazing job with our hair, makeup, and nails. I could not have been happier with everyone's look on my big day. Besides the great job done, these girls were so supportive, calming, and positive. Key personality traits you want for someone you want to hire for your big day! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Truly a fantastic experience! The only disappointing factor is that I do not live close enough but I plan on visiting real soon. (My husband's from Maine!)

I truly could not have been happier with my bridal hair from Uptown Curl. Shannon did such amazing work, and I completely loved my hairstyle! I gave a sample picture of an updo I really liked, and I have very long hair, so I wasn’t sure how it would come out, but it turned out incredibly!!! It was so unbelievably pretty and detailed, and it came out even better than I could have imagined. I got so many compliments on my hair as well as my makeup which I also had done by Shannon. I felt like a beautiful princess on my wedding day thanks to Uptown Curl, and I believe that every girl deserves to feel like that!

Cherish and Nikki are absolutely amazing! They made me look and feel like a princess on my wedding day! They both are absolute artists and you can wholeheartedly tell that they love what they do! I will continue to go up to uptown curl to see cherish as my hair stylist! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for hair and makeup for their wedding. You can go to the salon or have them travel to you. I cannot say enough good things about Uptown Curl.

Please Note, I did not book with them, but their level of responsiveness and initial customer service was not acceptable. I was looking for salon services for a wedding and reached out. I had multiple back and forth conversations via email and had to start taking to calling the salon and 4+ days would go by in-between the email correspondence. At the time of calling, on 2 occasions someone told me I would receive a call back from the coordinator or owner, which I did not receive either time. With weddings and reaching out for quote and understanding of packages the timeliness of their response was baffling. I had even on 2 occasions mentioned I wanted to make my decision by that coming weekend, but due to the lack of responsiveness I had to wait an additional 2-3 weeks. As a bride, I can say that juggling all the vendors and trying to get accurate information is time consuming and when you want to be treated nicely with proper customer service, it is a must. Again, I do not know how they are in person or the results of their work, but I merely did not book due to the timeliness and the lack of consistency in pricing from one quote to another. They may be good at what they go, but don't expect a timely response and don't wait until the last minute. As well as if your date is popular they tell you they will not hold the date until a deposit and they have others interested in the date and the decision needs to be made soon; all the while it took them 5-6 days to send that out...

Cherish has been my hair stylist for years and has seen my hair and my life through many changes. When it came time for my wedding I knew I needed Cherish around for the big day. She traveled out to San Diego, California to do my hair and makeup as well as my bridesmaids, who all had different textures and lengths of hair. She was even able to give me two styles, half down for the day portion of the wedding, and an elegant updo for the evening. Everything was wonderful and low stress. I would highly recommend Cherish and team.

I have been seeing Cherish, at Uptown Curl, for about four years. There was no question she was going to do my hair for my wedding. Cherish went through my hair trial with me, and Niki did my make-up, I was thrilled with how it came out, and my mind was at ease that my hair and make-up were going to look great at my wedding. Everything they did was to make me feel comfortable, and accommodate me and my bridal party. The day of my wedding, Cherish and Niki came to my venue, and did my mother's hair, maid of honor, and bridesmaid. Everyone was so happy with their hair and makeup, Niki and Cherish made any adjustments they needed to along the way. I continue to see Cherish, and would highly recommend them for any wedding or event.
