Uptown Indigo, based in Shelby, NC, is a family-owned and operated wedding venue with two floors and a breathtaking rooftop terrace. The design is modern and moody, with lots of artistic details. Inside the Historic Campbell Building, Uptown Indigo has been restored to make for the perfect chic wedding venue. Every inch of our space was handcrafted with intention.
Facilities and Capacity
From the original tin ceilings to the handmade tiles, Uptown Indigo is a truly unique wedding venue. The venue can accommodate up to 220 seated guests, with the largest space being the 6,000-square-foot Indigo Ballroom. This ballroom is characterized by its modern light fixtures combined with original historic elements that provide a 1920s feel with a modern twist. It is fully accessible with an elevator and large, elegant bathrooms. With a brand-new heating and cooling system, you don't have to worry about what the weather will be like on your wedding day. The Steeples Event Space is on the top floor and is 4,000 square feet, complete with a prohibition-era, eclectic space for cocktail hours or smaller ceremonies. The detailed tile ceilings, along with the warm lighting, give the space a romantic feel. Both the Ballroom and Steeples Event Space offer a full-service bar. Lastly, the Rooftop Terrace offers 800 square feet of space and an absolutely breathtaking 360-degree view of Shelby and the mountains in the distance. We offer two suites for the couple to relax and get ready for their special day.

Uptown Indigo prides itself on making your wedding experience as stress-free as possible. This historic venue offers multiple wedding packages that can include elements for every part of your wedding weekend, from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and reception. All wedding packages include tables, chairs, a bellhop to operate the elevator for vendors and guests, a venue manager on-site for the duration of your event, and more. Uptown Indigo offers a wide variety of services for your wedding day.
