Usha is amazing! She made me feel heard and cared for as she took on my dress. For context the dress was huge and I got it off the rack so it was probably about 2 sizes too big. Bu...
t Usha took it on with no hesitations and made me feel confident in my dress for the big day.
I have been going to Usha for many years with various different clothing items so when it came time to alter my wedding dress, I knew she would be the first person I would go to! U...
sha was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process and was very quick! I had an extremely complex dress with lots of lace and alterations needed. She listened to what I visioned my dress to look like and created something even better. Per my request, she was able to add several lace appliques to add more coverage to the front of my dress, added cup support, hemmed the dress (which was no small feat, it involved moving all of the lace up piece by piece), adding a bustle, adding lots of buttons, and adding to the back to help the dress stay in place. I am very thin and had problems with the illusion neckline and lace sleeves staying in place but Usha did a great job fixing my dress so I was able to have no issues with the dress staying in place during the wedding! I don't even want to think about how many hours Usha spent altering my dress, but I know that she charged way less than than others would have charged for the amount of time she spent on my dress. She and her husband were very pleasant to work with and were very helpful throughout the entire process! Overall, I was so pleased with how my dress turned out and I had no issues with it the day of my wedding. I fully recommend Usha for dress alterations!
I bring all of my bridesmaid dresses to Usha and she does a great job. She also did my mothers MOB dress, husbands MOG dress and my wedding dress.
Usha was wonderful to work with. I met with her about 6 weeks before our wedding, and she worked hard to get my dress done quickly (even though it was prom season!) so that I would...
be able to do a final dressing the week before the wedding. Her prices were very reasonable and her work was great. I highly recommend her!
I frantically called all around St. Louis in search for someone who would help me 3 weeks out from my wedding after I had a disaster with my first alterations lady. No one would ev...
en entertain the idea of even LOOKING at my dress, including some very popular places around town. I called Usha and she was very calm and said to go ahead and bring it in. When she saw me in my dress, she said, "Who did this?" which definitely made me feel like I wasn't crazy when I thought the first lady screwed up (the first lady insisted it was okay). Usha looked over the dress at every detail. It is a complex dress with lots of lace and boning and stuff and she kept true to the integrity of the dress while making it a PERFECT fit for me. Not only did she fix it and make it perfect for me, she got it done earlier than the date she gave me. She was super sweet and very understanding and it was helpful having someone who was calm while I was internally freaking out.
Usha was able to alter my dress in less than two weeks! Her prices were very low. I rated her lower because my dress turned out different than I wanted. I had a very beautiful lace...
fit and flare dress with a plunging back. I repeatedly told her I wanted the back low and needed the straps shortened and the waist taken in. When she shortened the straps it raises my dress from my lower back to the middle of my back and she didn't not fix it. She took the measurements of my waist before she raised the straps so my dress was still loose in my booty area. I still loved my dress I just wish she would have fixed it the way I wanted. I should have just stuck with the bridal salon I purchased the gown from.
