Utopian Events

Unprofessional behavior by owner Sushil. The company is really unorganized. We were first in contact in April for their services and I scheduled a call for our design consultation with their Sales lead contact. After two calls, we were given a quote. Than we were told by the Sales lead that our dates had a scheduling conflict and she could not work our fall wedding BUT were immediately sent a contract to sign anyway. I was told by that sales manager that we would be working with the owner, Sushil Patel. Having never spoken to him, I called him to schedule a call to go over the design board for our events. He agreed to a call for that evening, before abruptly cancelling after we had a question on pricing for one of our events. He abruptly rescinded the contract (sent a message saying "RETRACTING THE CONTRACT!) and stated he had now a scheduling conflict as well. I understand the need for them to make money but we would have appreciated more honesty and organization especially after being sent a contract to work together after weeks of communicating with each other. This process has only caused unnecessary stress to my fiancé and I as we worked to secure another decorator vendor during one of the busiest wedding seasons. Apparently, asking basic questions and negotiating is not allowed with Utopian Events.
