Me and my wife met Sheila at a bridal fair in Conway, Arkansas. She was very thorough in asking about our wants and needs for our honeymoon. There was a new all inclusive(adults o...
nly) hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico called Unico 20•87 that we were interested in. She had never sent anyone here before, (it hadn't even opened at the time) and our wedding was still several months away so we decided to be her guinea pigs. And let me tell you. It was worth it! She answered every phone call and every question we had leading up to our departure. When we got to Mexico we traveled with Olympus tour and travel. These were the nicest bunch of guys! Very honest and caring about giving us the best experience possible. When we arrived at the hotel we were in awe! Greeted with beverages and hot towels. The interior of the hotel was absolutely stunning, modern and vintage local art was everywhere! We met our local host for a quick tour of the place before we were escorted to our beautiful ocean view room! Our room had a super comfortable king bed, private balcony with a jacuzzi, fully stocked fridge with beer and snacks, also smart tv's! The pools were amazing with black bottoms, swim up bars, full service food menu, and there was no shortage of seating if Guilman was working by the pool! The staff was extremely outgoing and we even made lifelong friends with a few from our favorite spots! The 20•87 restaurant was where we ended every night at our own little corner of the bar being tended by our friend Alonzo! There were several fine dining restaurants Mi Carisa, Cueva Siete and Mura House. We were set up with a private spa treatment at Escencia which was also located next to their state of the art gym(never went to the gym😬). There were also two other bars one in the lobby and also Bar Balam. For breakfast we usually went down to Cafe Inez for coffee and something light. A few days we opted for in room dining and it was marvelous! Bottles of Champagne and Wine per request, on top of the already amazing food! THE IN ROOM DINING TORTILLA SOUP WAS THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! 24/7 in room dining might I add! We spent most leisurely time by the pool or on the beach. At the pool there was always music and daily events such as live music or dancers! We only took one excursion and that was to the Mayan Ruins of Chichen Itza. This was mind blowing. If you can handle the heat of the Yucatán jungle it's every bit worth it. We traveled here through our Olympus representatives and our tour guide was probably the best! He was a native Mayan and was extremely knowledgeable. After that we were brought to a native village where we enjoyed local cuisine and entertainment, followed by a dip in Ik Kil cenote which was also beautiful! Overall this was the greatest honeymoon I could've imagined! Mad props to Sheila Bennett!
