Since 2016, I've been photographing weddings for the most amazing couples. My focus is not only to tell the story of the day, but to create the most awesome art for my clients. My goal is to make all of my couple's days run smoothly and as stress-free as a wedding can be. From helping create a photography timeline to helping work out the details, my clients not only hire me for my photography abilities but for my expertise when it come to a wedding day. I love playing with light. Whether it's just good ole fashion natural light or creating a dramatic night portrait with strobes, I like to create something unique for every couple. It's important to me that I make art that my client's will hang on their walls forever.

Hi! I'm Val. I live on a small 25 acre farm in Cornish, ME with my husband, 2 boys, 2 dogs, 2 ferrets, and a variety of chickens and pigs. As a result, I love the outdoors. If you are getting married on a mountaintop, farm or field, I'm your girl! Shooting weddings since 2015, I have grown to love every aspect of weddings. Whether it's helping you plan your day or making a special portrait for you to hang up on your wall forever, I can't wait to be apart of your day!

Working with Val for our wedding was an absolute dream. She was professional, fun, creative-- everything we could have hoped for in a photographer for our wedding! We had a very large wedding (230 people and a 20 person bridal party!) at a cool (but dark) industrial space-- and she not only captured the vibe of all of our guests and reined in our bridal party, but the photos were absolutely incredible-- and she really highlighted our unique venue with her use of light. Her photos capture our day perfectly (see attached) and we will treasure them forever. We cannot recommend Val enough--look no further for your wedding photographer.

I mean just WOW - Val is an all around incredible photographer! Val and her assistant recently photographed our 100-person wedding at Bear Mountain Inn in Waterford, ME. Beginning with the engagement photo shoot, Val took the time to get to know us and practice fun and natural poses. She was very open to new ideas, but certainly had her own vision on what angles and lighting would look best. We specifically chose Val because she has a unique photography style that plays on the beauty of nature and finer details. I will say that we were a little disappointed that some of our pre-scripted group photos/photo ideas took a back-seat and felt rushed; however, the photos of us as a couple were just incredible. Not only that, Val got all the photos edited and back to us in under 2 weeks. Val is an excellent communicator, talented photographer, and just a wonderful individual to be around. We would highly recommend Val for your next event!

We can't say enough positive things about Val. Just looking at her photos you can see that she does quality work. Her communication is great, both leading up to the wedding and on the day of. She takes the time to get to know you so that your personalities can shine through in the photos. Honestly, neither myself nor my husband feel comfortable being the center of attention but Val made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. We had so much fun shooting the photos it made all the stress and anxiety go away. Seriously, Val is great and we are so happy that we got the opportunity to work with her.

Best decision we made for our wedding was hiring Val as our photographer. Her creative instinct mixed with her sweet soul was just what we needed to make our dream wedding come true. We really enjoyed working with Val and her second shooter, Sean, at our wedding last weekend. She was very responsive and professional leading up to our wedding day as well as on the day it's self. She was so fun to work with and made us all feel very relaxed. The pictures we have seen so far are amazing. She was able to capture a great balance of very natural posed and candid pictures. We would recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing photographer!

Val is amazing. Her work is beautiful and she was super fun to work with. She made us feel comfortable and nothing felt forced or awkward. We loved seeing the detail shots of all the little things at our wedding that we didn’t get the chance to stop and appreciate on the big day. Val did such an amazing job capturing our wedding! We are so happy with how our photos came out, and she was so organized and had a game plan before the wedding so everything went smoothly. She arrived early before the ceremony and captured all the little details, and somehow (still not really sure how!) managed to capture both bride and groom's parties getting ready and some group photos before the wedding. We didn't do a first look before the ceremony, but had talked before the wedding about some ideas for formal photo locations for us a couple. Val took charge after the ceremony and family photos, and got absolutely gorgeous photos of the two of us in record time. We totally rushed her because we were ready to eat and party but they came out beautiful! Val also did our engagement photos which included climbing through the snow and dealing with our less-than-cooperative dog and they came out great as well. She is super professional and has a great sense of humor. So glad she was our photographer!
