From the very beginning, Val made me...
feel completely confident that our wedding photos would turn out perfect, and somehow, they exceeded even that. I truly hate being photographed and have never felt comfortable in front of a camera, but Val changed that entirely. She made me feel relaxed, confident, and genuinely myself, which is something I never thought I’d say about being photographed.
She didn’t just take photos... she captured MAGIC. On our wedding day, I never once felt stressed about whether she was getting the shots I wanted. Her presence was calming, her guidance was natural, and her ability to anticipate moments meant I could fully live in them instead of worrying about documentation.
The organization and care leading up to the wedding were nothing short of perfect, and our engagement shoot proved that from the very start. We chose a pumpkin patch and wildflower garden, but just days before the shoot, the wildflowers had been cut down, and the day of, they closed the pumpkin patch as we arrived on site, leaving me convinced the day was ruined and that my hopes of getting good photos were gone.
Val proved me completely wrong. She met every setback with grace, humor born from the irony of it all, an even bigger smile, and unshakable confidence. She reassured us every step of the way and somehow turned what felt like a disaster into a fun, relaxed experience, and the photos were INCREDIBLE. That day became the ultimate trial run and “get to know each other” experience, making our wedding day feel effortless and familiar.
And then came the turnaround, absolutely unreal. We received our entire wedding gallery within two weeks, and our wedding album arrived at our door the following week. The speed was shocking, but what made it truly impressive was that not a single bit of quality was sacrificed. Every photo was stunning, emotional, and beautifully curated.
Words truly cannot capture how incredible Val is. She is the only photographer I will ever trust to capture the most important moments of my life. If you’re on the fence... BOOK HER. You will be forever grateful you did.

orous vibes made us both so comfortable while getting out photos taken at both events. She made having our photos taken fun, engaging and one of the highlights of our wedding day. In the meetings up to the wedding she was very responsive and was always accommodating of our needs for our big day. She set up check-in meetings with us leading up to the wedding, and helped us put together a schedule for the day that dovetailed with our wedding planner's. Her knowledge and insight from previous weddings really shined with her suggestions at making the day and the photos run seamlessly. Her attentiveness to detail really shined through in our lovely photos. The saying, “It will go by so fast you will hardly remember it,” rings true, but we have the most incredible photos to look back on and remind us of all the great memories we had on our special day. We would 100% recommend Val for your photography needs.

rge wedding (230 people and a 20 person bridal party!) at a cool (but dark) industrial space-- and she not only captured the vibe of all of our guests and reined in our bridal party, but the photos were absolutely incredible-- and she really highlighted our unique venue with her use of light. with the engagement photo shoot, Val took the time to get to know us and practice fun and natural poses. She was very open to new ideas, but certainly had her own vision on what angles and lighting would look best. We specifically chose Val because she has a unique photography style that plays on the beauty of nature and finer details. I will say that we were a little disappointed that some of our pre-scripted group photos/photo ideas took a back-seat and felt rushed; however, the photos of us as a couple were just incredible. Not only that, Val got all the photos edited and back to us in under 2 weeks. Val is an excellent communicator, talented photographer, and just a wonderful individual to be around. Honestly, neither myself nor my husband feel comfortable being the center of attention but Val made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. She arrived early before the ceremony and captured all the little details, and somehow (still not really sure how!) managed to capture both bride and groom's parties getting ready and some group photos before the wedding. We didn't do a first look before the ceremony, but had talked before the wedding about some ideas for formal photo locations for us a couple. Val took charge after the ceremony and family photos, and got absolutely gorgeous photos of the two of us in record time. We totally rushed her because we were ready to eat and party but they came out beautiful! Val also did our engagement photos which included climbing through the snow and dealing with our less-than-cooperative dog and they came out great as well.
