's website i thought her photographs were beautiful! I contacted her right away to see if there was any possibility she could do anything for the price we were willing to pay. Not for one second did she make me feel like I was being a cheap bride. She met with me and my fiancé and showed us exactly what she could do for the price. We were very impressed but she also told us it would be another photographer actually taking the photos due to the fact that she was already booked that day. When we hesitated she offered for us to meet with the photographer she would send. We met Marilia and upon reviewing her work and getting to know her calm demeanor, we knew we would get beautiful photos of our day. Marilia was prompt, she popped up everywhere and found her way to every part of the wedding yet was never in the way. She payed attention to every detail, chatting with anyone who could give her an idea of what details we would most like to see pictures of. At the end of a very long day and evening that she did not pause from for even a moment, she quickly showed us a sneak peak of the kinds of shot she got and they were beautiful. Next, we received a link from Val to all of the photographs that were taken that day. Val had edited every one of them. She asked us to choose a number of them showcasing everything we wanted to include in our album. We made our choices and she then sent us a link to a draft of the album, which we could then ask her to make changes to. Val obviously has an artistic eye do not surprisingly we loved the layout and didn't ask to change a thing. She met with us to personally deliver the album once it arrived from Italy. We absolutely love it! Everyone who sees it is amazed by the quality of the album and the amazing work of Val and Marilia! I am so happy that we found Val Messer Photography, we now have the most beautiful album I could imagine! They captured our day perfectly!

She is so good at what she does, and you can tell how much she loves her work. She's very professional but also very fun to be around. She took amazing pictures, sometimes you didn't even know she was there. She made sure I wasn't stressed, and calmed me down in so many ways. She was also so good with my son (who was miserable) but she got him to laugh and smile and made sure she took pictures of him! She's creative, artistic and just an all around great person. I would totally hang out with her! Reasonable prices, great communication, and beautiful work. If you're looking for a photographer, don't hesitate to call her! You will be so glad you did!

She was very flexible and accommodating especially since we asked on short notice to have pictures taken at other locations. Her demeanor was very professional and pleasant! It was nice to have one less thing to worry about and we were able to enjoy the day! We will have a hard time choosing between some of the great pictures that Val took as we have many favorites. engagement and wedding photos turned out absolutely gorgeous! Honestly, they are stunning and we have received so many compliments on our engagement and the small amount of wedding day photos she has released so far. I started out my photographer search by searching the "$" on all of the wedding websites and came across Val Messer Photography. The pics on her website is really what attracted me to meeting with her. We started out thinking we wanted to spend a minimal amount on photography (as our friends would all be taking pics to share as well), but by the time we got our engagement photos back we upgraded to a much bigger package with her. We wanted ALL the photos!! I asked some friends what they had paid for their photographers and Val was really affordable compared to what they had paid. AND the photos look like they are really high level work. Get this, our wedding was on Friday 8/15/14 she had already touched up about 15-20 photos for us to see and share by the next day! We were able to see them before we left for our honeymoon. We were shocked she would get these out so quickly. The style of photos are very classic, yet artistic -- not the normal color and lightly quality that can be really boring. I feel like I'm gushing, but I am so happy that we booked her! Val is really easy to work with as far as scheduling and personality. On our wedding day she was there and ready to go. She seamlessly fit in with the other vendors (caterer and DJ booked independently) and had a good time with the guests. My (now) brother-in-law was the "shadow" photographer -- the guest who stands behind the professional (you know "that guy") and instead of yelling at him like we had seen at my brother's wedding (we were guests and she yelled at my fiance) and causing additional stress, she had fun with it by joking with him so that she could continue to get the focus and the job done. If you like her style of photography, I would absolutely recommend booking with her. Someday soon, when we start to have kids, we'll be booking our family photos with Val :-)

to her art. She will definitely go the extra mile to get the perfect shot (e.g. stomping around a wet Vermont forest in rubber boots just to ensure we had perfect engagement session shots). We had four sessions with Val: engagement, wedding, reception (one week after the wedding in a different location), and a trash the dress session. Spending so much time with a photographer could have been tedious, but Val really just became one of the family. We recently picked up our albums from her, and it was like getting to see an old friend again. For those who care less about personality and more about work quality, you’ve got that covered with Val as well. Her photographs are amazing. She has a great eye for composition and ensured that we had beautiful shots that we could share with family and friends with pride. She was open to ideas that we had for shots, but came with plenty of her own that resulted in beautiful pictures. Her albums are also gorgeous. She set up beautiful layouts and was very patient as we asked for multiple minor alterations to ensure that they were just what we wanted. I would highly recommend Val to anyone looking to capture a wedding or other important life event. In so many ways, the photographer is the most important wedding vendor (the pictures are the only thing – other than the marriage – that will last forever), and my husband and I could not have been happier with Val’s photography and albums.

en I found Val Messer Photography. Her work is stunning and her price was within our budget. I had originally wanted 2 photographers on site. After meeting with Val, she said she did not feel it was necessary for us (small wedding close to home). I was a little weary, but decided to trust her (after all she is the professional here). And I am so glad I did! Looking at the photos, my husband repeatedly commented on how she seems to have been everywhere. You never really knew she was there, but the pictures tell another story. I highly recommend the engagement session if you are new to the process of someone taking your pictures. My husband and I were both felt very awkward at the beginning of ours. By then end of that, it was not so bad. It helped to make the wedding day pictures less awkward for us. Val was easy to work with, very out going and good at making you feel comfortable. She was also very tolerant of my mother, who was frequently seen with a camera of her own trying to steal the shot.

I thought it was an impossible task. Then I found Val Messer Photography. Upon first contact with Val, she was very professional. We scheduled a meeting at our wedding venue (it was a hotel so we met at the restaurant) and we saw some of Val's work in her photo albums. We were instantly sold with her personality, photo quality, and the presentation of the photo albums. I told Val about what I wanted in terms of pictures, and what I wanted to pay. She was more than accommodating!!! We were in constant contact with talking about different photos we wanted (ex. the angles, poses, etc.) and Val had many different creative ideas. We had a GREAT time getting to know Val at the engagement photo shoot, and I highly recommend it because it got us very comfortable in telling her what we wanted or didn't want on our big day. Val came to our rehearsal to get to know the venue a little bit better, and was at our wedding pre-festivities, and stayed most of the reception! I love showing off our photo album, because EVERYONE gasps at the beauty and quality of it. I highly recommend Val Messer photography to my friends, and everyone on the knot! I swear with one of the pictures Val took--- we're going to Hollywood!!!!

Her portfolio showed us BEAUTIFUL photography of other weddings and her angles were so unique that we felt it was a great connection. Her prices were in line with other professionals but her positive attitude and professionalism ranked top! Val was very interested in visiting the venue prior to the event to ensure she would have the proper lighting and equipment since our wedding was taking place in a Irish Pub with poor lighting for such event. On our "special day" she was promptly on time and very calm, making everyone stress-free. She oriented me (the groom) how and when to look at the bride and all of the details that only someone with lots of experience photographing such important moments would know. Throughout the night Val and her assistant captured precious and unique moments without "forcing" anyone to pose, making the entire experience a pleasure. We are gladly to have heard our friends and hired Val Messer to register our wedding. Her photos have earned so many complements from friends and family.
