And for me, someone who rarely does more than a brush of mascara and a dab of lip gloss, she made me look and feel so elegant as mother of the bride. Not artificial and overdone, she enhances and makes you look your best. Valarie did flawless makeup for everyone- ages 19-56, with all different skin tones and skin types. Not easy to do and lasted all night long. Amanda styled hair that also lasted the night. My updo was soft, flattering and yet very secure - no pins falling out three hours in or after lots of dancing. The bride left for her honeymoon with her hair still so beautifully styled. Valarie’s communication before the wedding as we took care of necessary details, was prompt and professional yet reassuring too. This was incredibly helpful. I wish all the other vendors I worked with for the wedding could have been more like her. One might think that this level of work and talent is beyond most budgets. It is not! Valarie is incredibly fair in her pricing- and also very upfront and detailed- you won’t be left confused or surprised. I rarely write reviews, but Valarie, and her colleague , Amanda, literally changed our whole wedding experience into a fairytale. asn't entirely sure what I wanted. Valarie was recommended to me by 2 of her previous bridal clients, and I reached out to her to inquire about availability. While she was not available for my entire bridal party, she made time in her busy schedule to ensure that she would be available for my makeup for my wedding day. Her associate, Hillary did such a wonderful job on the bridesmaids and the mothers. They have varying levels of how much makeup they wear on a regular basis, and she made everyone look BEAUTIFUL. I did a trial run with Valarie almost 3 months before the wedding, and she made me feel such at ease, and took into consideration the color palette of the wedding, my dress and my natural style. Walking out of the makeup trail, I knew that I had absolutely made the right decision for makeup for the wedding. I also did spray tanning with Valarie, (I didn't want to be super pale for an August wedding), and it was the best quality spray tan I had ever received (extremely even, no orange color, long lasting). On the day of the wedding, she kept in contact with me to let me know when she would be arriving at the getting ready site, and was running early from her previous client, so she was ready to go when I arrived from getting my hair done. I felt absolutely GORGEOUS when Valarie was done with my makeup, and I received so many compliments. It was an extremely hot day, and my makeup lasted all day, and no melting, even during some of those emotional moments. One of the best decisions made about the wedding was choosing Valarie. I need to find more occasions to get my makeup done by her!!!

ever had my makeup done myself. My mom and I were welcomed into her home for my trail appointment. I showed her my vision for the wedding, colors, and thoughts on wedding dresses. My makeup turned out perfectly, and I couldn't wait to hit the town!! On my wedding morning, Valarie was prompt along with her assistant. I was able to contract out through Valarie a hair stylist (Amanda and her assistant Sarah) to do my hair, 5 bridesmaids, junior bridesmaid, and mother of the bride. It was honestly so fun, and it took all the stress of the wedding away. Valarie does the bride's makeup start to finish, and I promise that you'll look fabulous. Since I had a tan, we did change up the look a bit to add to my summer complexion. I felt my absolute BEST on my wedding day due to the great work of Valarie and Amanda. We were scheduled from 8am-12pm and we were even done early which allowed for some touch ups. Hair and makeup were the least of my worries on my wedding day with Valarie and her team. I hope you decide to book her, and I know your experience will be FABULOUS.

After my trial, I booked Valarie very early for my wedding day. Throughout the intervening years, she communicated frequently in response to questions about my beauty plan. She responds to emails quickly and thoroughly. She remembers what changes you had from your trial and implements them on your big day. She arrives early and is prepared. These and other aspects of her professionalism were outstanding and gave me even more trust in her. As far as her makeup, she makes your skin glow and your eyes sparkle. I felt like I never looked better, and she made my mom and all my bridesmaids look and feel gorgeous. She chooses colors and techniques based on each lady's preferences and look. The makeup from my trial lasted through tears and a workout, and on my big day it looked just as good after a night of dancing! I highly suggest using her for your wedding AND for your engagement photos so you can see how the makeup will photograph. I will continue to use Valarie for any of my makeup needs! I contacted her last minute - only 2 months before my actual wedding date – and while she only had partial availability, she made everything work for me (thank goodness it was off season in the wedding world). My trial was very thorough - she took her time to show me the different looks and made me feel very comfortable about telling her what looks I liked or didn’t like. My expectations were blown away at how the trial went. I absolutely loved how I looked. Prior to my trial, my bridesmaids weren’t sure if they wanted to get their make-up done. Once they saw my make-up done from the trial, they immediately said they wanted to get theirs done as well. The day of the wedding, Valarie arrived ahead of schedule and was completely set-up by the time we got to the hotel. Some of the bridesmaids ran really late getting to the hotel, but she still got everyone done BEAUTIFULLY. The morning was hectic, but Valarie was completely calm which really helped everyone else’s nerves and anxiety. Also, my photographer and videographer were around us the majority of the time and Valarie didn’t bat an eye even when they were really in the way. She was so calming in all the craziness. My make-up looked exactly how I wanted it from my trial run. The four bridesmaids all LOVED their looks. We’ve all had our make-up done before, but we all agreed that this was by far the best experience we’ve had. We had quite a range of skin tones and we also wear different levels of make-up (some of us wear a lot of make-up daily while others rarely wear any make-up at all). Valarie made us all look like better versions of ourselves. People complimented us all night and the most common comment we got from women was that we looked like better versions of ourselves, more glamorous, not overdone. If I ever need to have my make-up done for anything in the future, Valarie will absolutely be the first person I go to. My experience for my wedding could not have been more perfect.
