Valentine DTLA by Wedgewood Weddings is a one-of-a-kind industrial-chic venue in the heart of Downtown LA's historic North Sea district. Housed in a pair of 1920s buildings that once served as a seafood market, hotel, and industrial workspace, this sprawling 15,000-square-foot campus has been reimagined into one of the most visually stunning event destinations in Los Angeles. Raw industrial bones, reclaimed lumber, original flooring, and salvaged windows now form ceilings, walls, furniture, and art — a century of history lives in every surface.
Behind an unassuming ocean-blue facade lies unexpected grandeur: soaring 35-foot greenhouse roofs flood lush tropical courtyards with light, handcrafted wooden tables pair with Italian leather Arrben chairs, and site-specific murals by LA's most compelling artists turn every room into a living gallery. Connected by a secret passageway, the venue's spaces flow seamlessly from one to the next.
VALENTINE GREENHOUSE | Ceremonies unfold beneath a soaring glass roof, surrounded by towering birds of paradise, ponytail palms, and lush alocasia. Reclaimed brick floors, arched bow-truss doorways, stained glass windows, and handmade copper fixtures set the tone.
GRASSROOM WITH GROTTO BAR | Cocktail hour comes alive around the showstopping Grotto Bar, with its glowing copper top and cavern-like walls embellished with ceramic starfish and sea anemones by artist Josh Beckman. Clay seaweed murals and carved sea creatures by Ivan Lee Mora line the walls, while tall pink sliding doors open the space to breathe.
SUNSET ROOM | The dining heart of the reception, where patchwork concrete floors, repurposed wooden walls, and a sweeping clay sunset mural by Josh Beckman create a warm backdrop. Handcrafted tongue-and-groove tables and Arrben chairs elevate every place setting.
PALM COURTYARD WITH CINDER CONE BAR | The vibrant social hub of the reception, an expansive garden beneath a 35-foot glass roof filled with tropical plants, crystal fountains, and carved big cats. A 14-foot heptagonal keyhole door, hand-painted by artist Stacy Smith with lemurs, butterflies, and chameleons, serves as centerpiece. A DJ-ready sound system and dimmable lighting turn the courtyard into an open-air dance floor, while the Cinder Cone Bar — featuring a bas-relief volcano sculpture by Josh Beckman — serves both spaces in style.
MADONNA SUITE & GRUNWALD SUITE | Two private getting-ready retreats with plush velvet seating, natural light, patchwork fabric walls, and Bluetooth sound systems — serene sanctuaries before the celebration begins.
Valentine DTLA by Wedgewood Weddings is not just a venue — it's a living piece of Los Angeles history, and the most unforgettable backdrop your celebration will ever have.

We can't speak highly enough of Valentine DTLA and the whole Marvimon team. It's a special, stunning venue that feels like its own little world right in the middle of the Arts District. It has its own aesthetic but also provides lots of opportu...
nity to put your own touches on the space.
Clare, Dana, Ariel, and the whole Marvimon team are so good at what they do. They're responsive, detail-oriented, and genuinely kind. We knew we were in good hands when we started to hear from so many of our other vendors--our planner, caterer, bartenders, DJ, florist--that they all also loved working with Marvimon!
We're native Angelenos, and it was important for us to have our wedding actually IN the city we love. As others have noted, the neighborhood can change quickly block-by-block around Valentine and there are sometimes encampments nearby. That is the reality of LA, and the Marvimon staff took every precaution--venue security at the door, an attended lot for valet parking, and staff presence during set up and breakdown--to make sure our guests and vendors felt safe, secure, and cared for throughout our wedding day. We intentionally hired local and small businesses for our wedding, and we couldn't have made a better choice than Marvimon for our venue.

When looking for vendors for our wedding in 2020, we instantly fell in love with Valentine’s whole vibe: the greenery, the setup, the giant pink door. We wanted a colorful and fun wedding and Valentine’s space was the perfect match! As east coa...
st transplants, most of our family was traveling across the country. On the night, several of them told us how happy they were to come to a California wedding and not just another ballroom, which was 100% because of Valentine’s eclectic vibe.
They allowed all our outside vendors and were incredibly helpful with suggestions and planning from the jump. Their whole team was super communicative and clear throughout the whole process which allowed us the freedom to have the wedding that we wanted. All issues on the day were handled by their team swiftly and easily before they even became a problem. Thanks Marvimon and Valentine! Next time we do a big event, we’ll definitely be back.

We cannot thank Valentine DTLA (and the whole team at Marvimon) for going above and beyond and making sure our wedding really was everything we dreamed it would be! Here is a quick breakdown of how it all went down:
We originally found Grass R...
oom on Pinterest and always dreamt of getting married here! We went to visit the venue and loved it, but then they showed us Valentine DTLA and we realized that fit us A LOT more! We were looking for a venue that would "WOW" our out of town family members from NY and NE and give them an experience they could only have in LA! The dining area was laid out beautifully with a projector (that we used to project our seating chart and then play clips from our favorite romance movies while we danced), a historic looking bar that spoke for itself, and a ceremony area that's full of greenery (and the best lighting for posed photos)! While the place was a little out of our price range, we decided to have our wedding for 150 people on a Friday and it was worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY.
Once we signed the contract, we were put in contact with Dana and her team (Clare and Ariel) who helped us every step of the way and was there to answer ALL of our questions (which were a TON)! They provided us with paperwork that clearly outlined the rules of the venue and gave us a list of recommended vendors that have worked the venue before which helped us out a TON! One thing to note as you're considering this place, you will need to pay for a valet with White Label Valet who were very easy to work with and we HIGHLY recommend having since the area outside of the venue isn't the safest. Also, the venue does have security so there was never a moment where we or a guest felt unsafe.
We spent a year and half of planning everything with Dana and her team at Valentine DTLA before our wedding. This included visiting the venue, having meetings in person to discuss the layout of everything, and asking us questions for things we never would have thought of to make sure all of our bases were covered. Dana and her team were so kind, helpful, and made sure we felt good when the day finally came and always checked in to see if we were stressing out as we got closer and to see if there was anything they could do to alleviate our worries.
When the wedding day finally came, their site representative and our Day of Coordinator from "Pop the Champagne" (who was a DREAM to work with) made sure our wedding day went perfectly and that all the vendors obeyed the rules outlined in the contract so we didn't have to worry about anything at all! As soon as we walked into the venue, all of the stress was gone and the best day of our lives commenced! It seriously was the best day of our lives and we never felt so loved and that's thanks to Valentine DTLA (and Marvimon)! Even our guests were in complete awe of the venue and had a blast as well!
We cannot thank Valentine DTLA and Marvimon enough for giving us the perfect wedding! Now quit reading this review and go book this beautiful venue!

I've been lucky enough to get to photograph this venue for a couple different clients over the years. The style and aesthetic is always on point with a great combo of nature and industrial coming together. The light always find a soft way of la...
nding here, I swear. I also find that the staff are super accommodating and provide guests and the couple with a great experience. Having shot at most venues in LA this has to be near the top for client experience. Highly recommend.

It’s beautiful inside once it’s decorated and staff does a great job. Wedding happened and then we’re asked to crowd into a smaller area near bar so they can pick up all the benches that you sit on while watching the wedding. Chairs would be mo...
re comfortable. You have to provide everything and it’s not cheap. It’s a nice place in a very sketchy area where you can’t park without tents and drug addicts everywhere. You’re required to use the valet parking and if parking in street, you might get towed. Renting the place is at least $15k and you provide everything else including valet, decorations, bar & catering.
The wedding probably cost at least $30,000+ that we attended. The people working there do a great job. I just think the traffic is awful in Los Angeles and maybe you can find a place closer to where you live and in a nicer area.
