If you weren’t already impressed enough by Valerie’s work on her website- then just let me say that Valerie made our wedding day so special and fun! She was my favorite vendor we hired for the wedding by far! She has to the be one of the sweetest, most professional, and talented photographer out there! She was running in and outside all day with us as we battled the on/off rain, carried my heavy dress everywhere, helped me organize where I was in my schedule- keeping me on track, is 100% queer and trans friendly and supportive, and smiling/ laughing the whole night- she brought the most amazing energy. We honestly couldn’t have been happier with our choice! She is a must for your wedding!

Val is an absolutely amazing photographer. It's a simple statement, but I don't want to over complicate just how wonderful she is . To make a long story short, Valerie arrived on a rainy Friday afternoon, 3/13/23(that's right, the day the world was shutting down for Covid) and absolutely knocked the pictures out of the park, turning the dumpy outdoor weather into spectacular photos. She's also an incredibly kind and understanding individual with an infectious smile that will make everyone in your wedding party comfortable. I cannot recommend her enough.

Valerie made our wedding day so special! We love the pictures she took - she captured all the important moments with such a unique and beautiful eye. And she was a true collaborator throughout the entire process. Easy to work with. Definitely recommend!

SIMPLY THE BEST! Valerie Caviness Photography is priceless! I LOVED being photographed by her! We had a wonderful experience with her. With all the nervousness and excitement, and wedding day craziness, having Valerie as our photographer with her awesome energy helped put my husband and I at ease. Our bridal party and wedding guest enjoyed being photographed by her too. Most importantly, she captured all the joy and special moments of our union beautifully. I am filled with gratitude and joy whenever I see my wedding photos.

We were so lucky and happy to have Valerie with us for our special day. Valerie was so warm, and made us feel comfortable throughout the day. The photo's were stunning. So happy with our choice.

Valerie started out assisting editorial photographers and branched out to events, commercial and architectural photography. In 2010 with her unique abilities, she took a position as the head photographer at the New York Stock Exchange. Her position at NYSE covered many areas of photography including, photojournalism, events, marketing, and portraiture. In 2020 Valerie shifted her focus to wedding photography which she enjoys!Valerie lives in NY with her husband and three children.
