Joanna and ValiaRose are exceptional!!! Most brides have to do all the work even with a planner. This was not the case. Joanna took my ideas and completed everything above my expectations. Everything was smooth and magical. She's a wonderful person with creative visions. Top notch in her field. Her and her staff were professional. They went above and beyond for my wedding. I chose ValiaRose and I suggest you do the same!!

Valia Rose provided month of coordination for my wedding on July 8, 2017 in Tuscaloosa, AL. In my opinion, Joanna was flighty, inconsistent, emotionally inconsistent, passive aggressive, and provided horrible coordination and execution the day of my wedding. She did not have my mother walk down the aisle during my wedding, she made lots of last minute changes, and as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, she said: "I'd like to call the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha to the floor" during my reception. I wish I could stop there, but no... She offered apologies, but based on my experience, her level of professionalism was horrible and her fake apologies were unnecessary. My sister, Kanika Collins Sharp had to explain and explain again why my mother, the Mother of the Bride needed to be walked down the aisle. Joanna had the audacity to be mad at my sister for "giving her a piece of her mind" because she slighted our mother. The sensible and responsible thing to do was to apologize. She was scheduled to meet me for a walk through at the River Market Tuscaloosa and cancelled while I was enroute to Tuscaloosa from Mississippi. I had driven three hours to meet her and experienced a sudden cancellation. I had to pry timelines and schedules out of Joanna. I have been working with her since December 2016. So, it was hard for me to understand why there were so much inconsistency and why so many flops happened. Several people noticed her conflict with her staff during my cake cutting. They had a disagreement over the serving dish and everyone saw them both lose their cool. Her staff was upset with her because they didn't know what to do. It was as if she had not brought them up to speed. We tried to give Joanna the benefit of the doubt, but it is what it is. She even contacted my sister via text to apologize for her consistent slight of my mother. Joanna told my mother to sit in the pulpit. Whose mother sits in the pulpit on their wedding day? As the bride, I was unaware of all of this. I noticed that my sister was highly upset, but she never told me why because she didn't want to ruin my day. I arranged most of my vendors. I used a few of hers. Unfortunately, she was the worst vendor of all. I noticed that she liked to shift blame a lot. Nothing was ever her fault. It's very sad that I have to leave this review. I'm not attempting to be malicious, but the mistakes made at my wedding should not happen at another person's event. I could over look it, but at my job, I receive performance evaluations. She needs to self-reflect and determine if wedding coordination is really her chosen profession. I hope Joanna and her staff will not delete this honest post, but will use my feedback as a way to improve their level of professionalism and customer service. Never once did she tell me about all of the things she did or changed. Others, including vendors, family and friends have told me about their experience working with her. I do not recommend Valia Rose at all. HORRIBLE! We had a beautiful day because God was with us, but if you want to know if Valia Rose is your go to, I'd say: Keep looking...no, RUN! Dr. Shani K. It was a pleasure having Joanna and her team for Charles and I wedding day!!! She listens to every little idea you have and executes it to the fullest!! Everyone say, something always goes wrong on your wedding day, but our day was perfect!!!!!! I can't thank her and the team enough for making my dreams and ideas come to life!! I was truly a Southern Belle!!

ValiaRose were great. Everything was beautiful and more than perfect. Our wedding day was beyond great and I had no worries the day of. Joanna was great communicating my wants and needs to the vendors. Her team worked well together to make sure the wedding party was taken care of. I would most definitely recommend ValiaRose to any bride. My husband and I are so happy that we had such a wonderful team to help us with our journey to becoming one!

It was a pleasure working with Johanna and her team at ValiaRose! They were instrumental in making sure my special day went well. Even with minor hiccups they were able to smooth things over to ensure the day was successful. She managed communication with vendors and developed a timeline to orchestrate each minute of the day! If you are in need of a planner/coordinator I recommend ValiaRose Events!

The team was well prepared for emergencies. There were 2 dress rips and they were able to handle both issues while keeping the Bride calm which was a challenge.

I used ValiaRose for two wedding events in an intercultural union. ValiaRose did the event design and coordination. The wedding venues for both events were transformed into beautiful designs that were beyond anything we could've imagined or created ourselves. Lots of research and time were invested in incorporating cultural elements and traditions. My mother's wishes and must haves were addressed and she was very pleased with the overall results, which is difficult to do! Even the other vendors that ValiaRose brought to the table were professional and reflected the great working relationships ValiaRose has in the event planning industry. The guests had rave reviews about the designs of the events, which is always a good thing to hear!

I had a destination wedding and it is not just an unforgettable day for my husband and me, but for our guests as well. Every time we see friends and family they are always talking about how beautiful our wedding was. I could not have asked for a better wedding planner. Everything exceeded my expectations and was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They are hardworking, friendly and patient. They go far beyond what they are expected to do. I didn't have to worry about anything. They made me feel like a queen. You can actually see the passion they have for what they do. I would recommend their services to anyone. I am so pleased and thankful. Everything was perfect!!!!

They were fabulous, and their knowledge and experience was so helpful. But most of all, it was the day of our wedding itself that we are most grateful for. They made the planning and the actual day run so smoothly. Hiring them as a Wedding Consultant was the best thing we could have done while planning our special day. Their services were invaluable to us.

Joanna and her staff became like family throughout this entire process. It felt so nice to have a team of people working to make my very specific dream wedding come true. They handled everything down to the smallest detail and for an overstressed bride like me, that was awesome. My wedding and reception was totally amazing and I didn't scream or flip out nearly as much as I thought I would. I would love for Jo and her team to handle all my life's situations for me because they definitely did their Olivia Pope thing for me. I will rant and rave about how awesome they are from the mountain tops. I will definitely be using them again for birthday parties and (fingers crossed) baby showers .

I attended a wedding recently of two friends. I had no idea that someone could make a wedding look so lavish and stunning. I'm a guy and we're not supposed to get all worked up over how pretty everything is, but that changed this time. I have seen great weddings on tv, but I honestly thought that was just tv. The staff was so professional and polite. I'm not even engaged, but seeing this event makes me want to rush out and find someone to marry!
