She's available 24/7 to teach couples in her Sweetbriar storefront, 5 minutes before the King of Prussia Mall. Right off Henderson Road, just past Valley Forge Road (route 23) with easy parking in a large front lot. Next to Screwball's Restaurant, and quick access via: route 422, PA turnpike, DeKalb 202, or the 76 expressway.
Maria has a Drexel University MBA and has owned Valley Forge Dance School for 20 years. Drop in group class on Friday nights 8- 9 pm= $10/person

My fiance and I took two lessons with Maria for our wedding. We have no prior dance experience and Maria was a kind, patient, and professional teacher. My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Maria to practice our first dance. Maria choreographed a beautiful dance for us that was simple enough for us to remember but also looked incredibly elegant. I was amazed that we were able to learn the dance after only 2 lessons when neither one of us had previous ballroom dancing experience. Our dance lessons with Maria were by far our favorite part of our wedding planning process. It was a great way to de-stress and bond with one another. Maria's passion for dancing is very evident and we are hoping to come back to the studio in the future to continue to learn ballroom dancing with her. We highly recommend her to any and all couples.

Maria was fabulous! Neither of us had any dance experience and she made things simple and easy to follow. We practiced the basic steps and then put them together. She promised we could learn it in two lessons and it came together perfectly. We would highly recommend Maria to any couple looking for a custom dance with little/no experience!

We took dance lessons for our wedding. Maria was great. My husband and I are not dancers, so we were nervous about our first dance in front of everybody. Maria choreographed a great routine for us, and it was not too complicated, which was perfect for us. In just two lessons, we left feeling confident, and Maria gave us an index card with all the steps on it to refer to in case we needed it. On the wedding day, everything went great, and all of our guests loved the first dance! I am so happy that we took dance lessons here rather than just swaying back and forth for our first dance! I 100% recommend Maria and Valley Forge Dance School!

Maria helped us feel very confident in our first dance for our wedding! She choreographed an impressive but easy to learn dance, ran it through with us many times in our two lessons, and wrote it all down on an index card for us (which we did not end up needing). We would definitely recommend her for special events dances.

Marie was fabulous. She taught us basic steps that took up the whole dance floor. The only disappointing part was that my dress did not work with the routine. This is my fault and I wish I thought of it. We did our best to improvise from the steps we had, but we were not able to do the routine. So definitely something to consider/mention when practicing.

Maria was phenomenal! Our song was one she hadn’t choreographed to before but she was able to come up with a routine quickly. We learned basic steps and proper form and she was able to string all of those together to make a magnificent dance. We worked with Maria for our wedding dance and our experience with her was excellent! We had chosen a rather challenging song to try to choreograph, but she made it work. And yes, we learned it in two lessons! Our guests were all impressed with our dance and we felt so good performing it. Plus, it makes for a fun "date night" activity leading up to the big day!

My father and I chose this dance instructor to learn a fun father-daughter dance for my wedding. I was doubtful of our ability to learn a complete dance to our song with just two one-hour lessons.
Low and behold, we did it! The instructor makes it so easy to follow and memorize the steps, while having fun. We were at hit at the wedding reception (which was September 2019) and we could still do it today! :)

Maria choreographed a perfect dance for us! My fiancé and I have four left feet between us, but she taught us a routine that made even us look skilled! We’d looked into other studios that taught fundamentals of several dances and were overwhelmed. I highly recommend Maria for dancing lessons. Her schedule was super flexible and she was easy to work with; plus very reasonably priced. She listened to our song and was able to come up with simple, easy to learn choreography that was exactly what we were looking for. She breaks the steps down and guarantees that it only takes 2 lessons to learn, and she was right!! After our wedding day, we got a ton of compliments on our dance. Many people even asked, "how long did you take lessons for?" - which we happily responded, TWO HOURS! We are definitely happy we chose to work with Maria!

Wow! We learned to dance and also had a well choreographed bride and groom along with a father of the bride and bride dance. Maria, made it very easy to do the basic dance moves and to remember the dance steps. It was so much better than standing on the dance door aimlessly rocking back and forth to a song for 3 minutes. We also got the benefit of learning several dance styles including foxtrot and waltz. We can build upon all of this.
Highly recommend dads and grooms who may be nervous about dancing in public to visit Valley Forge Dance Academy.

I reached out to Maria to schedule "Father/Daughter" dance lessons for my dad and I before my big day in September. What made my situation difficult was that I live in Orlando, FL, and I was only home (in the Philadelphia area) for the weekend - we needed to learn something QUICK! Maria assured me that she could teach us a routine in just 2 hours, so we decided to book. She was incredible. In just 2 hours, we learned new steps, a dance routine to the song "I Loved Her First" and had a lot of laughs. For my dad never having taken a dance class in his life, he did phenomenal, and we owe it all to Maria's method of teaching. I would highly recommend her to any couples, or daddy-daughter duos looking for some new moves!

Maria, our instructor was amazing! We had a bit of a challenging song (Dancing with our hands tied by Taylor Swift), but she listened to it once and did an exceptional job coming up with a choreographed dance for us. Maria’s method works! My husband and I have absolutely no dance experience. Maria listened to our song and provided steps that were simple enough to remember but looked good and worked with the music. By the second lesson we were comfortable enough with our feet that she showed us how to move to give the dance that extra something. For those of you that are unsure about dancing in front of people or lack experience, definitely take lessons from Maria! After two lessons with her, you’ll feel like a pro!

Maria is friendly and knows what she's doing. This place is home to many classes so you can expect to see children's costumes and maybe the tail end of a workout class, but don't let that deter you. This is a great small business to support.
It is easy to book online and you won't find a better price. She will build a dance for your song and give feedback as you go. I already recommended her to a friend.

Maria was wonderful! We just finished our second lesson and my fiance and I are feeling confident about the first dance! She kept my fiance's part relatively simple, added some spins for myself, and we ended up with a beautiful first dance. My fiance and I live in different countries and were visiting my parents for a weekend, 1 month before our wedding. Maria responded quickly and confirmed 2 lessons, Saturday and Sunday and assured us we would be in good shape. Maria is a great teacher. My fiancé and I decided to visit the valley Forge Dance School for standard Friday evening dance lesson to decide if Maria could teach us our first dance for our wedding.
We found that Maria has a great method that works for our learning style. Maria simplified and slowed the steps. Maria called out the steps while we were dancing. She's also encouraging. After visiting her studio twice we decided to commit to her choreographing and teaching us our first dance!

Maria, the owner of the school, is so great to work with!! It took no time at all for her to listen to our song (Baby I'm yours by the Arctic Monkeys) and come up with an amazing dance to go with it. We are definitely beginners, but she kept things simple enough to remember, yet fancy enough to seriously WOW our guests. We only needed 2 one hour sessions to learn our whole dance - which helped coax my husband in to coming, and we're both so happy that we did. It was so fun spinning around on the dance floor with my husband rather than doing the old step together step together routine. Thank you so much Maria!

Great idea!! Everyone was impressed with our dance moves. They thought we spent a long time working on it, when really we only had two classes. She also makes a cassette and records your dance moves over the song so you can practice at home if you want. You don't really need to.

We called a couple dance lesson places, and this seemed like the best. We met with Maria, who listened to our song a couple times and instantly had a dance for us. She gave us a free 20-minute trial where she showed up all the steps and explained how the dance would go. It was our choice to then stay for another hour (or come back she said) and start learning the dance. We practiced with her and then came back the next week for another hour lesson, to be our last lesson. Maria swore we would know our dance in 2 hours. She didn't turn us into great dancers, but we could complete the dance independently by the end of the second lesson, at which time we payed her $100 for the whole shebang. It was great. So glad we did it rather than just sway on the dance floor like middle schoolers. We did practice a lot. Maria gave us a cassette tape with her voice over the music telling us the steps. We didn't use it because, well, it's a cassette tape. But it was nice to know if we really needed it, we could probably find a way to play it if we were confused.
