the barn which is very very nice. It was elegant and gave us exactly what we were looking for. Not to mention, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful to make our day so wonderful. The venue gives you the option to add on some of the necessities (like a coordinator & DJ- who were also phenomenal) which took some of the stress out of the wedding planning. Our wedding really turned out to be the best day ever and we are very grateful to Valley Mills for hosting us!

Tina, the DOC, is wonderful. She fully embraced my laid-back approach to wedding planning and guided me through the important pieces that allowed the day to flow smoothly for everyone. Thanks to Tina, I was able to fully soak in every moment of our special day. If something didn’t go according to plan, I had no idea. She is a Rockstar. Monica, the venue owner, is an angel. VMF is a well-oiled machine thanks to her phenomenal organization and attention to detail. I never had any questions about what was expected from my end, which is wonderful when you are planning a wedding and having to make so many decisions. Due to a rainy week, we had to make a decision on if we needed to change our ceremony location from down by the river to up at the deck the week of the wedding. Monica was so patient with us and was fully on board with our decision. We decided to roll the dice and have the ceremony by the river and it ended up being absolutely perfect. She also did our cut cake and cupcakes, and let me tell you, they far surpassed my expectations! Not only can she seamlessly run a venue, but she is also an ARTIST when it comes to sweets. I would 1000% recommend her to anyone in need to deserts for an event. Not having to worry about another vendor and transporting cake and cupcakes was a gift. Troy, our DJ (VMF’s in house DJ) was absolutely amazing. He was the life of the party and gave us the reception of our dreams. He perfectly mixed up our music to get everyone on the dance floor. We had everyone from our grandparents to our little cousins moving and grooving! We are so grateful for the VMF team. Because of their wonderful organization and teamwork, we were able to relax and enjoy being surrounded by everyone we love on our special day. Valley Mills Farm will forever have a special place in my heart.

We got married at the river, which was away from the event barn, and Monica's coordination for guest parking at the barn was really helpful. She had a tractor pulled wagon to bring guests to the ceremony. The reception set up and clean up also worked like a well oiled machine. There are multiple wedding ceremony areas that allow for plan A and B to happen, weather permitting. I highly recommend this versatile wedding venue!

barn are STUNNING! Monica and her team are fantastic! She was responsive to all of our inquiries and gave wonderful suggestions and valuable guidance throughout the entire process. The wedding ceremony started outside but half way through it began to rain causing the rest of the ceremony to be quickly moved inside the event barn. Monica and her team made sure the transition went smoothly so the rest of the ceremony and celebration continued on and a grand time was had by all. Many thanks to Monica and her team for all their work to endure that my daughter and son in law have the best wedding ever!!!

A “picture-perfect” place for a wedding; however, the bride and groom had added stress and anxiety that was totally unnecessary, which in turn put a “damper” on what should have been one of the happiest day of their lives! There were many requests, requirements, Do’s and Don’ts given by the owner prior to “the big day” that contributed to the stress of the bride and the groom. READ YOUR CONTRACT CAREFULLY AND THEN ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS PRIOR TO COMMITTING!! As stated in other reviews, there wasn’t running water either Friday evening for the rehearsal dinner, nor on Saturday for the wedding. I realize that unforeseen and unfortunate crisis can happen at any given moment whenever you own/run a business. It is how the crisis is handled that can make all the difference to the customer! It is what sets a business apart from the others! Yes, work was being done way into the night on Friday and all day on Saturday to rectify the water situation - without success. What didn’t happen was a backup plan being in place by the owner. There was one construction Port Potty brought on the property to accommodate over 100 people, and there weren’t any portable hand washing stations brought to place inside the barn. I would think hand washing stations would be a “must” since hot food was being served both Friday and Saturday! Once the ceremony was over, and all the guest were inside and the wedding party had been introduced, Monica should have asked to make an announcement. At that time, with everyone present, she chould have given a brief explanation of the water crisis and made a heartfelt, sincere apology. That would have eliminated the need for those rumors that you cannot always believe (her response to a previous review). Valley Mills Farm, as a business, it would serve you well not respond in a defensive manner to negative reviews. Instead, take it as constructive criticism and respond in a courteous, professional manner. Take the time to listen to your customers, then make necessary changes accordingly. Ask your potential customers questions as to what it is they want/expect from you ie: whether they want you and your staff to be present before, during, or after the event (most do not! - just be available with a phone call). There are expectations from both parties - define them well. Simple really. That, Valley Mills Farm, is what makes a good business an exceptional business!

s in a lot of different venues and have never had an owner that felt it necessary to control every part of the wedding/reception. From handing out itineraries to the DJ & caterer (which had already been done) to becoming completely irate when the DJ moved a barrel a bit to get his music table in place to view the wedding. with music. The bride & groom had decided to allow guests into the barn before the wedding if they wanted which became a huge issue to her as well. They understood no beverages were available. Her actions were totally unprofessional. Chairs from the ceremony were being taken down before the pictures were over while guests were still outside having refreshments. Corn hole boards were taken up before dark, I am assuming because there was a "lull" in the playing. It seemed to be a huge ordeal that guests helped themselves to the deserts after dinner before the cake was cut. This too was a decision that the bride & groom were fine with. The bride and her girls decided against going to the house (as contracted) because she was over all the do's & don'ts of the past months. Now there was a water issue which was no one's fault at all but because of the drama it seemed to just add to the day. Regardless of that, I do feel like she still would have been there the entire time. Last but not least, be sure you read your contract because the 200 guests seating that offers tables and chairs to accommodate that number, tended to add to the headaches of having enough after invites were sent out and RSVP's received. Good luck to you if you have them booked in the future! It will be an experience for sure!

The views are beautiful, setting is stunning in every scenario you could possibly want your wedding to be. The climate controlled barn is everything you could want for your reception or ceremony. Tastefully decorated with plenty of time to set up the couples decor. Outside vendors have lots of options for their part in the big day. The bridal suite is colonial style and stunning. The groomsman cottage is the perfect setting for the groom and team to not only get ready but to have their personal space. There isn’t a location on the property that isn’t picture perfect for the special day! We loved working with Monica and the Valley Mills Farm team!
