Absolute professionals and amazing musicians! They made our wedding ceremony magical and emotional! We had a small delay before our ceremony while waiting for out- of -town guests to arrive, and this duet played continuously and beautifully to keep the ambience going. They didn't stop or miss a note, and we received so many compliments from our guests on how lovely they sounded. We highly recommend hiring them!

They draw from a diverse repertoire that includes classical favorites, contemporary pop & rock hits in order to meet every couple’s needs. These professionals can tailor their set lists to any occasion and welcome special requests in order to create a dreamy and romantic atmosphere. Vancouver String Quartet travels to venues as far away as Hood River to the Coast, from Salem to Longview. Vancouver String Quartet provides a range of packages that clients can tailor to their preferences and budget. Offerings include string quartet, trio, duo, and solo with a combination of violins, viola, and cello. Each ensemble can perform during the processional and recessional, cocktail hour, party, and reception dinner. The thorough and thoughtful team can arrange your special song request(s) and will even bring a professional canopy tent with them in case of inclement weather during an outdoor ceremony.

Matt Mandrones
Manager
Matt holds a Master's degree in Violin Performance from the University of Washington, and earned a Bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Puget Sound. He teaches string orchestra full-time in the Evergreen School District in Vancouver, WA. Matt currently is the Concertmaster of the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra and is the Musical Director of the Sunnyside Chamber Orchestra played first violin in the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra for 12 years. Matt has performed violin solos with several orchestras and in the region, as well as performed as a guest solo violinist with many other artists. Matt has absorbed knowledge and influence from a multitude of musical styles & genres he studied and participated in. He enjoys sharing music at numberous churches. Matt led, as musical director and soloist, the Southwest Washington Chamber Orchestra on an amazing concert tour through Italy and Austria. His vast musical experience and versatility expands to directing the Vancouver String Camp each Summer, performing at restaurants and engagement proposals.

My daughter asked for my support to select and coordinate a string trio to play the prelude and ceremony of her wedding. From the first e-mail exchange I had with Alistair, I knew ...

I had made the right selection. We were able to select all the pieces of music we wanted form their repertoire, which went from classical to rock. Andrew, Erik and Alistair were punctual and extremely professional. Their performance of the pieces we requested was very, very impressive and totally following the timing and cues we wanted to have during the ceremony. Generally speaking, they exceeded by far all our expectations and now we know who we can rely on. Thanks a lot Vancouver String (Trio)!
