Okay, wow, where do I begin?! After our inquiry with Vanessa we had an introduction phone call to get to know her and vice versa. We were on that call for over an hour and a half a...
nd not once did Vanessa make us feel rushed. She took her time explaining every single part of the photography planning process and how much an integral role she plays in our wedding. From that very first phone call, we knew Vanessa was the one for us.
At our engagement photoshoot, she made us feel comfortable and laugh the entire time. My now husband and I are a little shy and awkward in front of the camera and she very much calmed our nerves and made us feel at ease while taking our photos. Within a few hours of our engagement session Vanessa shared some sneak peak photos with us. Im not kidding, every single photo was more beautiful than the next. Having this session with her definitely helped us feel so much more comfortable in front of the camera on our wedding day.
Over the year between our engagement photo session and our wedding we had many phone calls with Vanessa to go over timelines, locations for photos, and discussions of additional planning. Every single question or worry we had, she addressed it and offered advice and solutions to all of them.
On my wedding day, Vanessa arrived and all of my worries were eased. She had said her job is to make my day as stress-free as possible and she means it!!! Vanessa ran the show that day and kept everyone in line and where they needed to be. I had a minor mishap with my bouquets and she even had gardening shears to fix the issue with my bouquet. She could tell was upset with something and quickly provided a solution for me without even having to say more. I cant express my gratitude enough for her help on my wedding day. She helped bustle and unbustle my dress. She had extra tools to help with bustling my dress. She was willing to take extra shots of my husband and I at the church and at the venue. Every single thing I needed, wether spoken or unspoken, Vanessa knew and delivered in more ways than I could have EVER imagined. We were married on Friday and by Saturday afternoon we received some sneak peak shots from our wedding and once more, each photo is more beautiful than the last. I cannot wait to see the entire portfolio!
If you asked me how Id rate my overall experience out of 10 I would tell you it was a 10000000/10. It is clear that she cares about her clients whole heartedly and she is truly an artist. Her work is absolutely breathtaking. If I could give Vanessa more stars I would because she truly deserves every single one of them! I cant recommend her enough!!

. Finding a photographer with disability experience was very important to us, and Vanessa was patient and empathetic while helping us with accommodations. Though we couldn't do all of the traditional couples poses (during our engagement shoot & our wedding day) Vanessa put us in comfortable positions and encouraged us to be playful and relaxed. When things started going wrong on our wedding day, Vanessa took control and kept me from spiraling (she even reapplied my lipstick stain with perfect precision after it wiped off). Jorge was also a big help on our wedding day! He was a great second shooter and kept my husband and his friends laughing the whole time. I love that she shot our wedding in both digital and film (the film photos are amazing!). After the wedding, Vanessa put significant time and effort into making our photos perfect. Her editing skills and attention to detail created a timeless album that we will cherish forever. Thank you Vanessa!

On our wedding day (9/12) she made sure everything went seamlessly and stayed in constant contact with me. She even went as so far to find bobby pins for me to make sure my veil was secure. Aside from being excellent photographers, the two of them definitely helped relieve the stress and tension of our busy wedding day with their bubbly humor and energy. As a much welcomed side benefit, they also helped my wife and I with last minute day-of planning for our wedding timeline. We forgot to plan/coordinate certain important details, but Vanessa and Jorge came through in a pinch to pull things together smoothly. Life savers!

dn’t completely shut down the idea of us making it to cocktail hour (we did not do a first look). Vanessa was genuinely nice, professional and understanding. Not only are the pictures beautiful, but Vanessa is beyond efficient. Immediately after the ceremony we had everyone gathered for pictures. She expertly directed people into and out of photos, ensuring that our families and bridal party could go enjoy their night as quickly as possible. The speed certainly didn’t affect the quality, the photos are breathtaking. One thing my husband will not stop raving about is how great Jorge was with all the guys. He helped them all with their boutonnieres, making sure they were attached properly. We honestly cannot rave enough about Vanessa Marie Photography. Everything has turned out so far beyond our expectations. From easing the fear of rain to making the photoshoot an absolute blast. gorgeous, romantic style. She took both or engagement and wedding photos and each process was made easy and not at all overwhelming. I was so nervous for our engagement photos, and she made them go by in a flash. During portraits she makes you feel like models and naturals, erasing any uneasiness. On the wedding day, not only did she capture gorgeous details, portraits, and candids, but she also adjusted my hair or dress if needed and navigated family dynamics for us. She worked the entire wedding like the BOSS magical unicorn lady she is, and of course we loved having the help and comedic relief of her husband and second shooter, Jorge. al and fit into our vision of our wedding. So fast forward to engagement shoot, both my husband and I were so nervous but she made us feel like Beyonce within 15 minutes. She was super professional and timely in all responses and questions and her system with payments were very efficient.
But she really shined on the day of the wedding. She was legit my right hand person. She advocated for me and knew what I was thinking before I even said it. It was really hot and I was losing my mind during family portraits and she could tell, she legit bent down, and fanned my dress around so I can get some air under my legs. She went above and beyond! Her and George are a great team! They work incredibly well together and can read each others' minds. She even helped me figure out timeline issues on the day of, so I didn't have to worry about it and allowed me to enjoy every minute of my wedding.
The best part was, we knew they had a double header wedding weekend and I don't know what kind of miracle she pulled but we got married on Saturday, by Monday, she sent us sneak peaks of 30 beautifully edited photos! I don't know when she found time to edit those. But she really is amazing.
I can not wait to see the rest of the photos, also already finding another event to plan just so we can hang with Vanessa and George again!

nt aspects of your wedding so I took this decision very seriously! I wanted somebody 1) my style (natural, light, and bright) and 2) affordable! Vanessa was both of these and SO much more. We were so impressed. From the beginning at our facetime consultation session, she was so friendly, energetic and professional! I hired her on the spot! Her passion for photography really shines through and she has such a creative eye! We were so glad we did an engagement session. We aren't super lovey dovey (and my husband hates taking pictures so I was already worried) and she made us feel so comfortable and kept us laughing and it felt so easy. On the wedding day, she came with her husband, Jorge, as her co-shooter and they make such a great team with their cute banter and communication. It was important to us to do a first look and as many pictures as we could before the ceremony so that we could make cocktail hour for a little. The day-of is so hectic and she really hustled kept things moving and kept us on schedule when I didn't think it was possible, especially with the family portraits! This is where the engagement session really came in handy! We were able to recognize her terms for poses and were super comfortable which made pictures go by quickly! She even helped bustle my dress when my bridesmaids were struggling! And not to mention her pictures are STUNNING! er out of Philly despite that fact that I would be getting married in NYC. During our engagement shoot, she picked up on details in our surroundings that I would have overlooked - brick backdrops, lush greenery (YES, even in NYC!), and flawless lighting. If you're getting married outside of her "typical" market around PA, I HIGHLY suggest you get in touch with her - she does not miss a beat anywhere!
On top of this, Vanessa is SUPER accommodating. In addition to being my photographer, she became sort of a guide throughout my wedding day. She helped me remove a pesky stain from my dress (and clearly picked up on the fact I was panicking), assuaged my nerves, kept us laughing, and masked the hoards of tourists around us on the Brooklyn waterfront.
I've never been more comfortable working with anyone. Vanessa and her husband, George (who is also her second shooter), have this vivaciousness to them. It seriously gave me life on such a crazy day.
Her timeline management is impeccable, and she is so detail oriented, it even blew my Type A mind. She remembered requests from my questionnaires that I had even forgotten. She even knew my friends' and family members' names!

Vanessa is understanding, flexible, energetic, and organized. She runs an incredible photography business.
My husband and I currently live in Columbus, Ohio, but are from PA originally. Vanessa was very flexible in finding dates for our engagement shoot that worked around our travel schedule. Throughout the entire process, she responded to emails very quickly and always made our wedding day feel first priority.
For our wedding photos, it was very important to my husband and I that we attended all of cocktail hour. Vanessa and Jorge were so organized and clear when giving directions that we were able to get through our first look, formals, bridal party and family formals all before the ceremony. We truly appreciated their efforts to give us such a smooth flowing wedding day.
And can we talk about the GORGEOUS photos? I mean, Vanessa is one of a kind. Really. Looking back at the pictures in our beautiful album just takes me back to every moment as if I am reliving it over and over. I love natural light photography, and Vanessa is absolutely top of the line.

Vanessa and her hubby George are so amazing to work with. Its like having your pictures taken by friends you have had for years who are so happy for you and truly share in your joy and know just how to make your day great and make both of you feel amazing.

I had a few vendors when planning my wedding who I had a difficult time getting in touch with - but VMP is so attentive and responsive. If you have a question about anything - they are literally so helpful and so glad to help its amazing.

Her blog showcased everything I was looking for in style, but more than that I was looking for a photographer my then fiancé could be comfortable with, as he seriously hates taking photos. I had initially fallen in love with another photographer that was woefully out of my price range and was looking to recreate that look, but what I ended up with was more than I could have asked for . She was always thoroughly professional in every communication with us and is so amazingly engaging that I've already thought of ways to include her in other major events. She's 100% worth every penny and everyone compliments my photos as looking like they're from a magazine. If I were to change anything it would be to have booked her for another hour, but she captured every special moment of our day and I couldn't have asked for a better team than Vanessa's. ore booking, we had skyped with Vanessa to discuss packages, her process, and any questions we had. I think we talked for over an hour because we were all so chatty! This only continued into our engagement shoot. We all couldn't stop laughing!
Before our wedding day, Vanessa and I made a timeline so I knew where she and her husband (who also assists her in photographing events) would be all day. As a bride who has a lot of cogs moving all at once, this was a MAJOR bonus. Day of she set me at ease - and won the hearts of our entire bridal party! I kid you not, there are still stories about the two of them floating around. Besides being the life of the party, the end result photos turned out like I had only dreamed they would. The photos really capture the spirit of our wedding day: fun.

, I knew that Vanessa was just what I was looking for. She was so nice, personable, knowledgable, outgoing, professional, and dedicated to her work. We live out of state so finding vendors was a super stressful process but when we FaceTimed, I knew that she was going to be great. She calmed my nerves the entire planning process, always answered my questions and concerns, and on the day of she was again, so reassuring and took all of the stress away. Her husband, Jorge, who is her second shooter usually, is awesome too! The guys all loved him. The two of them are such a power couple and work so well together. Vanessa helps guide you into the best poses and really knows what will make a great picture. She was great at wrangling our huge bridal party including keeping our families in line.
