We are so glad that we chose Vanessa to capture our day! She did a wonderful job not only snapping those special moments, but also helping my husband and me (who are camera shy and sometimes awkward) pose and feel comfortable! Vanessa was also very flexible and helpful leading up to our wedding day, helping me tweak my contract to add more time and accommodating my needs in a pinch when I'd made a mistake with planning and scheduling! We only have previews so far, but they are so beautiful and we are obsessed with them! We can't wait to see the rest of our gallery! Thanks so much Vanessa! :)

Vanessa is a truly amazing photographer and my husband and I could not have been more pleased with the pictures we received. She photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding. Neither my husband nor I are very comfortable having our photographs taken but Vanessa made the entire experience comfortable and natural. She listened closely to what we wanted and delivered above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Vanessa, herself, is so sweet and kind that you feel like you are working with family or a close friend. We could not have been happier and already have plans to have her take photos for us again.

My (now husband) and I were trying to have a very quick engagement (2 months lol!), and one of the things that almost slipped through the cracks was our engagement photos. I am SO glad we did not skip this because these are some of my FAVORITE photos of me and my husband! Vanessa was not only flexible with a time frame, and where we shot (we wanted to shoot at the local park my husband proposed at), but she made us feel so comfortable and just made the process so much fun! We are not the most photogenic people, it's hard for us to pose, but Vanessa made everything so easy and natural. I would HIGHLY recommend her for your engagement shoot and wedding photography!

I’ve known Vanessa since we were both working as interns in college. When you’re spending hours washing out wetsuits and other scuba travel gear you have a lot of time to chat about your life goals and dreams. One hot summer in 2006 she told me that one day she’d run her own photography business, and I promised her that I’d book her for my wedding, assuming I found a willing partner. In 2013, just hours after my now-husband and I decided we’d get married before his deployment (a short 2 months later) we called Vanessa —even before we’d told our parents—to ensure that she had a free weekend date. I was adement that if Vanessa wasn’t free before he deployed the wedding would have to wait. I didn’t trust anyone else with photographing the day. I didn’t care about much, just the food and having my friend take the pictures, we’d fiure the rest out later. Luckily for us Vanessa had one free weekend available and the only photographer our family will ever need was granted my photo-hating husband’s seal of approval. He’s the kind of guy who hates photos and who never seems to smile when prompted for one—but Vanessa, in her wonderous ways, had him smiling with his eyes wide open in every shot with her excellent coaching. What I love most about our beloved family photographer is that she feels like a member of the family at every event she photographs. Her laid back-yet professional approach makes even the most photo-hating person smile.
