I called, asking if she would attempt to make gluten alternatives, at least just for me, in the 4 months she had before our date and was told that it was not likely to happen. Distressed by the prospect of not being able to eat my wedding cake on my day, I served out abother option. Famous Bakery New Bern is making me a delicious gluten free wedding cake and cupcakes for $100 less AND delivering to my venue in Greeneville, NC for free. My experience with this baker left me frustrated, feeling like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer.

First, she didn't charge per slice, she comes up with individual prices. Which made sense to us, because we wanted a simple design on our cake and felt that maybe we'd be overpriced if we went with someone that did charge by the slice. Second, she put so much work into her displace. She's serious about her business and is a true professional. Third, she had her family with her. We just thought that was cool because we're super family-oriented and that made sense. We decided on a 3-tier cake with a different flavor for each layer, we also had 3 little satellite cakes that we could just use for extra slices, with one of them being just for the bride and groom (we wanted to make sure to get a piece!). She also provided the groomscake! The cakes we AMAZING. We couldn't get enough of it and everyone loved it. I can't say enough about this company and the quality of their work. We absolutely loved our cake and our enjoyed the experience of working with her. As if that's not enough, she also includes a replica of the top tier of the cake for the 1 year anniversary, so you don't have to eat nasty freezer cake! Enough said!

ot to her home a little early and she invited us in and said "you guys can have a seat while I finish making your icing." We were so impressed! She was making our icing right then! Not something left over or anything like that. It was all fresh! So of course we booked her and she delivered our cake to our venue on our wedding day and it was gorgeous. We made the inside of our cake blue which we thought would be difficult, but she welcomed it and it wasn't a problem at all! Allison (the owner) is very very sweet and helpful. I would recommend her to anyone!

xactly what we wanted and designed us a beautiful cake. Her prices were outstanding and she even delivered the cake herself to our venue two hours from her shop! When i saw the cake i was in awe as were many of our guests! It was STUNNING! She make gumpaste snowflakes that were unbeleiveable and was able to light them from behind with mini LED lights! I have never seen a cake as beautiful as the one she made for us! To top it off i wanted a Grooms cake for the rehersal but was having trouble finding one near our venue that wasnt rediculously expensive. I asked her on a whim the Monday before our wedding about it and not only did she give us a great price but she madea sculpted fire helmet cake replicating my husbands real helmet & had it ready two days before our wedding. She delivered it to my MIL the day before our wedding and when my husband was surprised with it at the rehersal he was elated! We ate on the last portion of our cake for almost a month after our wedding and it held up great and tasted as if it had been made fresh that day. We couldnt have been any happier and cannot wait to use her services again in the near future!
