Vanille Patisserie

h pistachio and marscapone and a vanilla cake with coffee, toasted almonds and apricot jams and it was heavenly! We also love how the frosting was not overly sweet at all, most other cakes are too sweet and your stomach does not appreciate that. Very easy to work with and reasonably priced! We highly recommend this bakery.

were elevated and our cake turned out delicious! I think it is so amazing that they include a tier of your cake for your one year anniversary!

was absolutely delicious, and our guests raved about it!

the cake was both beautiful and delicious!

hrough what we liked from photos we had looked at, and they worked with us on our cake, which turned out amazing! It also tasted incredible (cookie dough for the win)!

ve a crumb left over! Delivery was seamless and the tasting process was enjoyable and hassle free. Would highly recommend them for any special occasion.

lose to the date and were able to deliver without delay with superb communication. If you have a vision, then trust that they have a visionary team that will deliver it. They will be making my daughter’s cake next.

e got 4 cakes (in addition to desserts from another restaurant) and every single cake was eaten. Our friends and family could not stop talking about how yummy they were. Thank you!

fit for our wedding. We just did a small cutting cake and a dessert table of different macaroon flavors and they were a HUGE hit. Everyone had at least two macaroons in their hands while on the dance floor lol. Highly recommend.

cked out 2 flavors and one of the designs they already had, but we made a change to the bottom tier. The sketch the provided after was great and helpful and day of looked exactly like we thought. We ended up not celebrating until 2022, but we had no issues. Thank you!

e of fillings to meet my tastes along with my (now) husband's. The cake was exactly as we had pictured and tasted great!!

e of us. The cake is delicious, moist and flavored well. They were able to use add simple designs using buttercream frosting rather than fondant per our preference. We went with their white buttermilk cake with vanilla mousseline for 2 tiers and red velvet cake with cream cheese filling for the other tiers. Our guests wanted more cake after which is always a good indicator!

m to make my dream cake. I was a little unsure but they completely delivered! The cake ended up being one of my favorite things about our special day. On top of the cake being exactly what I wanted, it was also delicious. Multiple people told me that it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had.

ompliments on the cake – a rarity at weddings. But what else, would you expect from Vanille, Chicago's best bakery!

at Vanille is friendly and professional.

of heaven. So good! We also had mini cupcakes for our guests and the carrot cake was the crowd favorite! I plan to eventually stop by their shop and try other items.

and the team came up with something out of this world. The cake served at our wedding was even more delicious than the samples we tried at the consultation! Thank you, Vanille! Already can't wait to come back for our one year anniversary!

he cake was absolutely delicious. I received so many compliments from guests on both the look and the taste. I myself am not generally a cake person, but I went out of my way to eat multiple slices on our wedding day because it was so, so tasty. They were a joy to work with, and were flexible when our event date changed due to the pandemic. I am sure that next time we need a cake for any occasion we will be returning to Vanille!

the right choice. Then came the wedding day and the cake was beautiful and so so good, people are still talking about the cookie dough filling! Cake tasting was my fav part of wedding planning, so I tried A LOT of Chicago and suburb bakeries, but Vanille was hands down the best we tried!

nts - gifting each attendee with a 2-pack box of macarons. We provided Vanille with the named labels, and Vanille was able to pack, label, and deliver over 100 table assignments. The macarons were absolutely a hit!

hly HIGHLY recommend! You will not be disappointed!

flavors. Many weddings we've been to in the past have cakes that can be so bland or dry, but with Vanille you have so many flavors and options to pick from. Everyone raved about our cake & desserts! (The mini cheesecake is to die for!) Sophie is a true professional, she helped answer all of our questions and was able to make so many adjustments to work with us once COVID hit and threw so many roadblocks our way. Do yourself a favor and book Vanille for your wedding! We're beyond happy that we did and are customers for life now!

hen we had to downsize and then cancel our wedding they handled it with the grace and style of their baking. We ended up with a refund. Amazing. You can be sure they will get a LOT of business from us in the future- I still want that passion fruit curd....

e left at the end of the night, which my husband and I were not even upset about, because it showed how much people enjoyed them! Two things I adore about Vanille is that they let you have two flavors of cake when doing a tier cake, and they also offer one year anniversary cake so you don’t have to save the top tier. This way it is fresher and just as much of a keepsake/moment to reminisce. Multiple guests told us it was the best wedding cake they have ever had. Thanks, Vanille!

ding! they were extremely flexible with us in letting us pick multiple flavors and worked with us on design! Our cake turned out delicious and beautiful!

the whole team were easy to work with and they did an amazing job! I'm from Germany and so were some of our guests (which are used to delicious pastries and cake) and they raved about our wedding cake. I would highly recommend them!

ke with two flavors and several petit fours so our guests would have a great variety of flavors to select from. Beautiful presentation, delicious work (and they use real buttercream -- no fondant!). I personally recommend the amber bars -- wow!

get a small one for our wedding. So glad we got it from Vanille! I gave them a picture of what I wanted and they made exactly that! Since we didn't spend a lot of money we were not able to do a tasting but we knew that the cake would be delicious. We also put about 10 macaroons on top of the cake which we were so glad we did because they are delicious. If you are looking for a wedding cake, big or small, Vanille is the place to go! Pricing was about in line with most bakeries in Chicago.

Leslie, who was lovely to work with. We also did macarons from Vanille as favors for our brunch reception, and our guests loved them. Thank you Leslie and Vanille!

the rehearsal dinner. We are still waiting on professional photos of the wedding cake, which was gorgeous and delicious, but I am including pictures of the groom's cake. The instructions I gave were vague & unique: A record, with "Go Cubs Go" track. They clearly took the time to research my request, and they re-created the actual original record with a nod to the local radio station, and included the city skyline around the base (after I asked for suggestions). I was completely floored at their additional research and attention to detail, and my husband was surprised and delighted, and recognized the original record right away! The wedding cake was beautiful and classic, and exactly as I had envisioned! Sophie could not have been more wonderful to work with. She replied to my emails right away, at odd hours and on weekends, and worked with my coordinator beautifully. The cake tasting was a delight, and their tasting room is stunningly beautiful -- what a fun experience! My only regret from the wedding was that I didn't get to try the pumpkin cake again on the day, since those went like hotcakes! I loved working with Vanille and Sophie, and I look forward to return visits to try their other delights soon!

to Vanille before, so I knew I would be happy with their work. We worked directly with Sophie from the day we had our cake tasting. We showed her a picture of what we wanted for our cake, and the day of our wedding, the cake looked exactly like the picture! If I could have just eaten cake all day on my wedding, I absolutely would have because it was that good. I will be highly recommending Vanille to all my friends from here on out.

ou so much Vanille!

rfect selection of cake, petit fours & macarons for our guests, as well as an amazing custom grooms cake. It's been over 2 months since our wedding and everyone can't stop talking about how amazing the sweets table was. The sweets table was such a hit that we didn't even get photos of all of the options- even with 1000 pieces! Truly a delight to work with. Hands down my favorite bakery in Chicago and will continue to go to them for any and all celebrations!

us a wonderful cake for our wedding. Our cake tasting at the Lincoln Park location was fantastic, and allowed us to communicate exactly what we were looking for to Chandra. The final product, while small and simple in design, was nonetheless wonderfully elegant, classic, and of course tasted amazing, as well. In addition to all this, the price point was very easy to fit in our budget - which is always important when organizing a wedding. We were thoroughly impressed with Vanille Patisserie, and would highly recommend them for any future events.

onal and well-organized. Their cake is truly amazing - moist, flavorful, and the perfect amount of sweet. They were by far the best place we tried, and we did tastings at 5 different places! We ended up with three different cake flavors for a 4-tier cake (my favorite - passionfruit curd and coconut cream with vanilla pound cake), as well as a grooms cake. Chandra did a wonderful job decorating both, and we got numerous compliments from guests about how much they loved the cake! And to boot - Chandra through in a dozen cupcakes for free for the kids we had at the wedding. The only thing we were disappointed with is that we didn't have leftovers to take home! Good thing they provide a 1-year anniversary cake, because I will be drooling in anticipation of that for the next year. Service was great and product was outstanding - can't ask for more! Definitely check out Vanille Patisserie if you're getting married anywhere in Chicago!

m day one, Chandra was a dream to work with, and everything turned out beautiful. Highly recommended.

since we had a small wedding it was cheaper/same cost as one big cake. Did all ordering through email; got fast replies. There were some minor calculation errors on the bill, and an order of 5 pieces were inadvertantly left off, but we caught it in time and they fixed it. Could have been a problem if you didn't review the itemized bill carefully, but it probably happens with any company. Good cakes. No complaints.

nd right afterwards, we went to Angelina for hot chocolate and macarons. While we couldn't go to Paris for the wedding, we could bring a little bit of Paris to us. We chose to serve macarons to our guests for dessert. Vanille Patisserie made over 300 macarons for us in a variety of flavors. Not only were they beautiful to look at (love those colors), they were so tasty! And they're portable, so you can eat them on your way to the dance floor. Would absolutely recommend Vanille for their macarons, even if you're just grabbing a few to snack on.
