Then, my sister suggested I check out Vanya's, where she recently got her own wedding dress designed through her friend, Alicia. I had a zoom call with Alicia to talk through my vision and look through some photos and she was able to turn my dream into a reality. She jotted down a few sketches and came out with something absolutely perfect. Throughout the process, I had an amazing time going to her beautifully designed studio and trying on my dress piece by piece. It was very helpful to me to get to make decisions about my dress in a step by step process. Though we had the sketch to refer to, I was able to decide how poofy I wanted my dress, how long I wanted to train, what material I wanted to use, what sleeves I wanted to have, and more during the process of the dress making. I felt strong relief in not having to have a definite answer from the get go, rather, I got to pick and choose as I went. I felt like a princess each time I got to go try on my newly made dress. Alicia would listen well, would provide helpful insights, and would make me feel perfect each time. Her talented hands, gentle spirit, and tasteful style is exactly what I needed to make my dream dress come to life and to make me feel amazingly comfortable on my wedding day.

n cut off, some of the layers of lining removed, the bust taken in quite a bit, and bra cups added. When I came back for the dress, it fit beautifully and looked great. The quality of work is extremely high. I don’t think anyone would know my dress had a train or didn’t fit right- Alicia tailored it such that it look like it was made just for me.

my sister (Maid of Honor), mother-in-law, flower girl, and I all had our dresses designed and made here and the result was a unique piece for each person that looked FANTASTIC as a cohesive unit in photos. My husband, his brother (best man), his father, my father, and our ring bearer rented and fitted their suits here. We all looked great, everything fit beautifully, and we are so happy with our experience here!

I took it to Vanyas and described what I wanted done. My eyes welled up with tears when I saw my button up back for the first time. My dress was finally, “The One.” Thank you Alicia for making my dream come true. Not only did Alicia make my wedding dress perfect for me, but she also created a dress for my mom from scratch. She drew up the design, purchased the fabric, and crafted her a beautiful navy blue lace dress. My mom loved it of course. Alicia and her team can make you anything you dream up. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Vanyas Design! And by the way, there is no one named Vanya that actually works there. Tricksters.
