Michael was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. He was unable to DJ our event but his colleague Tom came in and ROCKED it! We had two locations, but he was prepared and everything went so smoothly - we couldn’t have asked for a better vendor for our DJ/Emcee. I highly recommend Varsity Rock for their attention to detail, commitment, and our guests had the time of their lives and LOVED Tom’s energy!!!!

Varsity rock was so helpful before our wedding getting it all ready! We also loved our ceremony and the flow they kept with the reception. Our only issue was not following the reception playlist and playing a few explicit songs after being asked to keep songs clean. Overall we had a good experience.

His concise yet thorough documentation helped us feel confident that he would nail the details on the wedding day - which he did! Michael was organized and professional, knew how to get a dance floor going, and handled requests from us and from our guests. We also made a non-standard request (to let our friend take over for a 45min set) and Michael was flexible and dealt with that with no problem.

I’m very glad I picked Varsity Rock DJ Company! They were excellent! They communicated to make sure I was happy every step of the way! The day of was very smooth for my Wedding with no issues! Michael and Thomas were easy to work with and very kind, on time and made it easy! The price was fair and I would use this company again for future events! DJ Michael is absolutely on point! We met him at a wedding show last year. After meeting several other DJs and emcees, we came across DJ Michael. He was laid back, kind, knowledgeable, attentive, and intentional. We really appreciated his energy and felt he would be the perfect DJ and host for our big day.
Throughout our planning, DJ Michael was responsive whenever we had questions. His words were always positive and full of excitement.
On our wedding day, DJ Michael worked well with our vendors including our wedding coordinator. He recognized cues and introductions well. He kept the music playing and paid attention to the energy levels in the room. He definitely made it a fun and exciting atmosphere. We appreciated how he stayed present during every wedding event. Our guests recorded videos of our first dance, and in the videos we can see DJ Michael watching just as attentively as the rest of the room!

As a close friend of the DJ, I had the pleasure of experiencing Varsity Rock’s performance firsthand. Michael’s ability to read the crowd, and keep the energy high throughout the day was impressive.

Michael, you were extremely professional. You came on time and by the time I turned around you had everything set up for the ceremony. Your voice is very clean and clear my guest appreciated it when you were calling the tables for dinner. Additionally, he is very patient when it comes to get your song request I appreciate how patient you were. I know I was not responding in a timely manner. So happy to have hired Michael for our wedding! From being very accommodating during the planning process, making things as easy as possible, to playing the perfect songs during each stage of the wedding night, he did an all around incredible job. Michael took a few of our suggestions and brought the vision to life! I had many compliments on both his performance and the DJ portion. Five out of five stars, we would recommend Michael to anyone looking for a friendly and professional DJ. He executed our vision well! Our ceremony was outdoors and had a live musician (harpist), Michael did a great job, setting up the audio, even though there was lots of background noise (traffic from a busy road).
Similarly, after we switched locations to the reception space, his music choices and audio setup were great for the ceremony, the music was great for cocktail hour, the dancing went smoothly, thinks it was DJing skill.

Michael was awesome, he listened to our requests, and was very professional. He picked all of the music for the dancing portion of our wedding, and absolutely killed. Everyone had such a good time the whole night. He was a great MC, in that he didn't take any attention away from the couple or guests, but was able to maintain attention when giving announcements. Michael was able to read the vibe so well and is so great at what he does, couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our big day!
