tory. He also shared plenty of resources to consider, such as readings, unity ceremonies, vows, but was never pushy about requiring anything be included in our ceremony. His ceremony speech was lovely, with the perfect balance of heartfelt references and funny anecdotes. Many guests and even our vendor cooordinator commented on how great it was! We are very grateful to have worked with Steve and would recommend him to anyone interested in collaborating with a great listener and storyteller.

the remainder of our sessions we felt like we were in great hands. Every question or concern was addressed and we felt extremely supported along the way. When we met in person at the wedding it didn’t feel like we were meeting a stranger which helped to ease the nerves!
Steve went above and beyond our expectations and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant. In the early stages of wedding planning, my partner and I were in...
between hiring an officiant or having one of our family members/friends officiate our ceremony, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to hire VaVow ceremonies. Steve was so helpful leading up to the ceremony, and really took the time to learn about us and our love story in order to craft the perfect, personalized ceremony. He also took the time to review our vows, provide feedback, and help ensure they felt balanced. Our guests complimented the ceremony and asked if it was a family member or friend that we knew, since it seemed like he knew so much about us. His communication leading up to the wedding helped put any nerves at ease. Thank you, Steve, for making our ceremony everything we dreamed of and more!
Truly can not recommend Steven enough! He handled our story with such responsibility and care, it made the journey so easy! The ceremony truly was a dream and tailored made for us

to then create a ceremony that celebrated us as a couple and hit all the right notes. As a couple that got married shortly after COVID, he was able to do a great job introducing us as a pair to a lot of friends and family, some of whom were just seeing us as a couple for the first time. Would highly recommend Steve for couples who want a lot of thought and care put into their ceremony!
VaVow Ceremonies came to be when I first asked Steve to be my officiant. I knew he hadn't done it before, but I had full confidence that he could do it wonderfully, and boy did he...
exceed expectations. So much so that some of my wedding guests, complete strangers to him, asked him to marry their friends or family members. That was almost 15 years ago. Since then he has continued to bring creativity, thought and tremendous care into the ceremonies of couple after couple.
Steven and I were friends, but there was much for him to learn about my relationship. He took the time to understand our unique journey and the dreams we held for our ceremony. Whether it was video calls or in-person meetings, his communication was clear and consistent, leaving us confident and excited for the big day.
The ceremony itself was nothing short of magical. Steve wove our story with such eloquence and humor, even incorporating details about the historic venue that added a special touch. We were touched by the way he included personal anecdotes without feeling scripted, and several guests even commented on how heartfelt and personalized the ceremony felt.
Steve's ability to connect with everyone present was truly remarkable. He managed to seamlessly weave in stories about our families and bridal party, adding an extra layer of intimacy and making the ceremony resonate with everyone there.
For us, incorporating some meaningful traditions from our backgrounds was important. Steven embraced this aspect wholeheartedly, taking the initiative to research and understand their significance. He ensured they were incorporated in a respectful and authentic way, making the ceremony a true reflection of our blended heritage.
Throughout the entire process, Steve was a calming and supportive presence. He was always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and put our minds at ease. His passion for creating personalized ceremonies that honor each couple's love story truly shines through.
If you're looking for an officiant who goes above and beyond to create a ceremony that is heartfelt, meaningful, and reflects the essence of your love story, look no further than Steve. He made our wedding ceremony an unforgettable experience, and we'll be forever grateful for his dedication and expertise.

eve took the time to get to know us individually and as a couple, so the ceremony was everything we hoped it would be. Not only did he take the time to get to know us, he guided us through our entire day based on what we needed. He offered guidance through music, the ceremony, any traditions we wanted to use, vows, etc. This allowed us to plan for the day with an ease of mind. Thanks, Steve!
Steven is very professional. He made sure that he asked the right questions, understood our story and designed a very personal ceremony! Couldn't have asked for anything more. Defi...
nitely recommended!
We could not have found a better officiant for our wedding than Steven at VaVow Ceremonies. My partner and I have been together for 10 years and we really wanted a custom ceremony ...
that was about the long journey we've already been on together. Steven took the time to plan multiple hour long conversations with the both of us and individually to get to know us and our story better. These conversations felt extremely well thought out and comfortable and gave us the space to share exactly what we wanted to be incorporated into our ceremony. Besides the great discussions Steven prepared, he also provided a lot of information about marriage licenses, changing names, and other information that seems to get lost when planning a wedding. He also gave us great ideas to include in our ceremony like a reading and silent meditation moment. Before the wedding Steven made sure everyone was in the right places, kept us calm and in the moment before one of the most special moments of our lives. We did not read the entire ceremony script before the wedding which made it that much more special hearing it for the first time during our ceremony. We were speechless hearing the beautiful way he shared our story with our loved ones and tied in pieces from our prior conversations. Everyone including us was blown away by the entire ceremony and family members asked us afterward if Steven was our friend because he knew us so well. My favorite part about working with Steven was the way he listened to what we wanted and provided suggestions based on our ideas. The communication was great throughout the entire process and it was a truly enjoyable experience working together. I would highly recommend VaVow Ceremonies to anyone looking for a custom ceremony for their wedding.
I had the pleasure of having Steve Belec officiate our wedding on New Year's Eve in 2012, and I must say, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we met him,...
Steve exuded warmth and sincerity, making us feel immediately at ease. What truly set Steve apart was his genuine interest in getting to know us as a couple. By taking the time to understand our story, our personalities, and our values, Steve went above and beyond to craft a ceremony that felt deeply personal and meaningful.
Throughout the ceremony, Steve seamlessly interwove personal anecdotes and stories, effortlessly capturing the essence of our relationship and the love we share. It was evident that he had taken the time to not only learn about us but also about the important people in our lives. By incorporating stories about how we knew each member of our bridal party, Steve added an extra layer of significance to the ceremony, making it feel even more intimate and heartfelt.
One aspect of our wedding that was particularly important to us was incorporating some secular Jewish elements into the ceremony. Steve went the extra mile to research and understand the meaning behind these traditions, ensuring that they were incorporated in a respectful and meaningful way. His dedication to honoring our wishes and making our ceremony truly reflective of who we are as a couple was truly remarkable.
Throughout the entire process, Steve was incredibly loving, kind, and attentive to our needs. He listened attentively to our ideas and concerns, offering guidance and support every step of the way. Thanks to Steve's passion and dedication, our wedding ceremony felt like a true reflection of our love and commitment to each other.
I cannot recommend Steve Belec highly enough for anyone seeking an officiant who will go above and beyond to create a ceremony that is intimate, loving, and deeply personal. Steve's warmth, sincerity, and attention to detail made our wedding day truly unforgettable, and for that, we will be forever grateful.

th my husband and I a few times - both together and individually - via phone / FaceTime in the months leading up to our ceremony to understand our shared vision of our wedding day, as well as our individual perspectives and stories of each other. Steven checked in with us to ensure we were aligned on our general vision of the ceremony (duration, general tone, etc.), which we appreciated. We loved how Steven described our relationship story and how he included some personal touches that we hadn’t even thought of, including a nod to our shared Irish heritage. He even researched our historical venue and wove this seamlessly into the ceremony, which felt so special to us. Steven is an eloquent writer and speaker. The whole ceremony felt unique and tailored to us, and not at all generic. Several of our guests mentioned how much they loved our officiant, with one even mentioning this was the best officiant speech he had ever heard. I would highly recommend hiring Steven for a personalized, heartfelt ceremony to kick off your wedding!
