I had the invitation and crest made at a local vendor in Baton Rouge and when I showed them her work, they couldn't get over how beautiful it was. I first saw Vanessa's work when I received my best friend's invitation in the mail in 2014. She had chosen the more traditional calligraphy in gold in on a white envelope and it was so exquisite that I wanted to frame the inner envelope with our names on it. I don't know that I've ever remembered an invitation until then. When it came time to find a calligrapher for our own wedding, I immediately went back and asked my friend who her calligrapher had been. I saw Vanessa's modern calligraphy style online and knew it was exactly what we wanted. I asked for gold ink on light blue envelopes and the results were stunning. Truly. And the font was such a PERFECT match to the text on our invitation that I could not have asked for anything better had I planned it. Artistically, Vanessa nailed it. Professionally? She nailed it too. There was initially a snafu with the number of envelopes ordered which put a slight delay on our time table. It was prime season for addressing spring and summer envelopes, so I felt horrible breaking up her rhythm. But she still got everything done timely and impeccably. Shortly after receiving the envelopes, I needed to make 2 corrections (one of my friends moved and I had provided an incorrect spelling of a name on another). Vanessa had held on to a couple extra envelopes and had them completed promptly. Did I mention how beautifully packaged the envelopes were when I received them? I was floored! I can't say enough about Vanessa's work. She's phenomenal and very reasonably priced (worth EVERY penny). Our wedding hasn't happened yet, but I'm confident that our calligraphy and invitation suite is going to be my absolute favorite thing about the wedding aside from marrying my fiance!

Calligraphy can be extremely pricey, but it is so beautiful and convienent. I searched online for about a week for reasonable pricing and found Vanessa. She was so sweet and professional- She emailed me in an extremely timely manner and talked to my mother on the phone several times about any changes throughout the process. I did not live in New Orleans and mailed my envelopes to Vanessa. I was worried about mailing all my stationery, however it was such a breeze and not a thing was damaged throughout the process. She lets you schedule your calligraphy months in advance. I mailed her my envelopes when it was time, and I received them back early and they were perfect. She kept the remainder of my envelopes and my mother called her several times for additional envelopes to be addressed, as well as mistakes that may have been found on the envelopes. I would suggest her for any brides that may be looking for calligraphy!

Vanessa is AMAZING! After briefly experimenting with the idea of doing the calligraphy myself to save money, I realized it takes extreme skill and it was worth the cost! As a very selective designer and bride myself, there wasn't one thing I wanted to change about her style. I am so thankful that my mom found her here and referred her to me because of her photos and excellent reviews, and she delivered exactly that. Also, she was significantly less expensive than other calligraphers, but I liked her work so much better! She also custom mixed me a wonderful charcoal grey to match my design for only a slight extra charge. I am so thankful she caught an envelope size error after miscommunication with my printer, and she was so helpful in fixing it! And she worked with my deadline to get them out on time, and worked really hard to make up for the lost time that wasn't her fault after the envelope mishap. I am sooo grateful for her hard work! Again, thank you so much Vanessa for everything! So many of my guests raved and raved on my invitations and your calligraphy, keeping them because they are that beautiful. I hope I have the opportunity to use you in the future! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
