If I could give a 0 stars I would- this is quite literally the first negative review I have EVER written online. I hired them and paid upfront in full- did my trial and honestly wasn’t super happy with the make up it was heavy/cakey and the eye liner was messy. I was planning on changing a few things for the actual day of the wedding… except THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! I attempted to call multiple times and email for them to never answer then for it to go directly to voicemail. Leaving myself and all my bridesmaids with a few hours to scatter and find places to get our hair and make up done. It is nearly a week since my wedding and I have yet to get a call or email back or my money back! Stay away!!

Loved working with Stephanie and Jen! Stephanie's makeup was amazing and its airbrushed, so light and comfortable. I have a lot of hair, long and thick, so Jen did my hair and she was amazing. Everything stayed in places and lasted all day!

Stephanie was amazing! She was completely professional and was able to give myself and all of my bridesmaids gorgeous looks! She also did a touch up for my partner, and he looked great afterward!

My make-up was stunning. Stephanie was awesome. Very, very professional in the job that she did YET down-to-earth and easy to work with in doing the job. PLUS, my make-up was flawless. She even shared tips and told me the products she used. She was also very patient. She has this calming presence about her and you can tell she loves what she does. It's clearly her passion. Finally, I should mention that she's prompt --not even prompt. She always early --by like 15-30 minutes. I felt so horrible b/c for the week of the wedding, I was perpetually running 15 minutes late --at least. Stephanie made sure she was extra early for each appointment. I didn't have to worry about whether she'd show. I was so lucky to have found her and, although I have no desire to go through the stress of another wedding, I would have her do my make-up ANY DAY!

Contracting Stephanie as my makeup artist for my wedding in May 2018 was one of the best vendor decisions I made. She was a pleasure to get to know, and was so professional to work with since I contracted her a year ahead (brides - book her early!). What stood out to me with Stephanie was her professionalism, positive yet realistic attitude, and thoroughness from the moment we began discussing my wedding. I am a professional event planner and have worked with hundreds of vendors, and she shined with her personality and friendly demeanor. She offered valuable advice during my trial and wedding day, and genuinely showed interest in my fiance, our wedding day and futures. Her work was beautiful - she gave my bridesmaids and I fresh, natural looks, and all the girls loved her! I can't thank Meredith enough for being part of the most amazing day of my life. She helped calm my nerves, kept the order of things in check, and her aura was one of the highlights of the "getting ready" process. It seemed like everyones moods lifted as if they had a mini pep talk after they were done with makeup with Stephanie! She's the kind of woman you want to have over for cocktails, and the kind of woman you can talk to about anything and everything. She "gets it". Highly, highly recommend Stephanie for weddings, special events, parties, etc.

Stephqnie was amazing to work with! From the first email months in advance to my day of services she was very personable, professional and super sweet! She explained what she was doing as I asked questions, shared what products she liked and used personally. I received tons of compliments on my makeup as did my bridesmaids and my mom. The products were top of the line, I didn't feel "overdone", greasy or heavy, I was nervous about the false lashes since I have never worn them before but they stayed in tact throughout the entire night and did not bother me. Overall, I had an awesome experience with Stephanie and would definitely use her again if I need my makeup done in the future!

Stephanie was one of the most talented makeup professionals I have ever worked with and I have been in a lot of weddings! She is constantly keeping herself up to date with different techniques, trends, makeup lines, etc. She took the time to learn what I needed for my wedding day, and went above and beyond to accomplish it. I was struggling to find a lipstick shade for my wedding, and she ended up creating one for me! I use it all the time now! Furthermore, she made me feel amazing for my wedding day, and I look forward to utilizing her for future events. It would be a mistake to go with someone else.

Glowing I was amazingly glowing and it wasn’t just the love of my wedding day. My makeup was outstanding because I hired the best there is. From the moment we met at the studio I knew I had found the right person, she knew so much about the products and about skin care and she really worked hard to figure out exactly what I was looking for. So everyone was happy in my wedding party and even my mom changed her mind and got her makeup done. I would say too that the pricing is not to high, also i felt like there wasn’t any hidden charges. Her quote was exactly what I paid. Stephanie is a true professional and she has her license which means she’s not just some girl with YouTube experience. I liked that a lot

What an amazing experience, I had so much fun with Stephanie and her team we looked at photos and she gave me some really great tools and tips along the way. My makeup was flawless and I saw so much difference it what I could have done myself plus Stephanie carries top of the line products that you wish you had at home. The airbrush is really fantastic, I know Stephanie would say she doesn’t like you not to remove it at the end of the day but I got two days out of my makeup....I slept in it and everything lasted even my eye lashes and I looked stunning for our honeymoon flight! I just can’t say enough that Stephanie made me look amazing for my wedding day she listened to every request! You truly won’t be sorry to hire this gem

First your not making a mistake hiring Stephanie, she goes over and beyond! She knows makeup and she has truly been around weddings so much she’s a help with planning timing and making sure you never wait on her. My makeup was amazing, go for the airbrush is lasted all day and I didn’t have a single tear streak! She fitted my lashes so that no one knew I was wearing false lashes, she didn’t charge to travel to our location which was AMAZING and she didn’t have a minimum either so worth it. She almost doesn’t charge enough for what you get because she is so thoughtful

Outstanding! Outstanding! You will not be sorry about this choice! Look I know how to do my makeup and so do so many of us and yes a makeup artist seems like an excess! BUT let me tell you it made every difference in the world....timing was perfect and everyone in my wedding party looked amazing which made all the difference in the pictures I received. And Stephanie is top notch, she’s so personal you will definitely feel like you’ve made a new friend....you can tell her who needs reigned in and who needs attention and she remembers everything I was stunned she did my trial and I don’t know what her method is but she replicated the look without me noticing her looking at notes or photos it’s like she memorizes your face! I had so much fun she really made my day feel extra special

What an outstanding vendor if your looking for the best of the best look no further! Stephanie makes you feel like even without her markup your a goddess! She takes the time you want and gives you her all, she was always very good about everything, timing and correspondence and following up. she made my super picky sister happy 😃 it was amazing 😉 she definitely makes sure the bride is 1st and gets the to shine above the bridesmaids which is nice no one’s makeup is going to overshadow you! I loved the fact that nothing was hidden prices were fixed and everything was included

I was so happy with everything Stephanie did, from the trial to the wedding day I was #1, she took care of every worry. I had a minor break out the morning of the wedding and she made it disappear! My makeup lasted and lasted as I danced into the night. Everyone was commenting on how amazing my skin looked the airbrush is great I was flawless and I didn’t feel like I was wearing anything. My photographer loved my look and said that I had picked someone who really knew lighting for makeup and created a look that is not only good in person but also through the lense. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and I urge you to try and see if Stephanie is available to do the same for you.

My wedding was this year and I used Veiled Complexions as my makeup artist, Stephanie the owner personally took care of me and my services. Well I was floored I was in no way prepared to be pampered like that it was amazing. We talked over everything from colors to skin, she asked about my dress and really created a look that went with every detail of my wedding. She took these amazing photos afterwards and showed me what she watched for in my photography of my wedding day to make sure that no matter what light I was in or what flash or lense I was seen through that I would look my best. She had this cute little in home studio with amazing lighting and she really makes you feel completely comfortable. So if you want to hire someone that really takes care of you from start to finish that will give you attention you’ve found the right vendor here. I would recommend her to anyone she knows her wedding stuff and she know makeup. Also I was completely impressed with the quality of makeup she used for the price I would have expected to pay much more. Also she doesn’t charge for travel which was really nice. Definitely recommended

When you hire the best you get the best! I know that now! I had Stephanie do my makeup for my engagement photos and waited to see how the photos came out before booking my wedding, she was so understanding and even held my wedding day for me. Well needless to say I booked her as soon as I saw my engagement photos! And my wedding day was even better she didn’t even have to do another trial. I just sent her a photo of what I wanted for wedding day and she replicated it perfectly. She has such a steady hand very controlled I felt very sure she was able to handle doing all the make in the time we had. From beginning to end she not only seemed excited about my big day but it really seems like it was just as important to her! That important she cared that I was happy and that services were on time! She cared that I was comfortable and happy! She cared that my bridesmaids looked good and that we had what we needed after she left us. She didn’t have another wedding we were her only wedding that day and I felt like she gave me 100% or more of her time and attention! If you want to feel special and look incredible then I would recommend booking Stephanie

Saying I felt pretty, or that I looked amazing just isn’t enough! It wasn’t just my makeup that was perfect, Stephanie is a really caring person my younger sister was having some neck issues the morning of my wedding and thought she might have to back out of getting makeup / she didn’t want to do that. Stephanie figured out a way to work on her makeup laying on a bed, she didn’t know even bat an eye, she just wanted my sister to feel comfortable! That’s true depth of a person I have seen there are two women who seem to want to make Stephanie look bad but I can tell you, they must not care because that is not who Stephanie is! She was nothing but wonderful and I had to leave a review because those two women are lying

Outstanding I could go on and on and on about how amazing Stephanie is! Her touch is so amazing she really talks you through every part of pictures you show her and colors she has and why they would or wouldn’t be good for you. I felt like a Star! Everyone kept telling me I looked my absolute best and I know brides hear that all the time but I felt it myself I knew I had my best face on that day! She makes sure her brides come first and rule the day....she doesn’t charge for travel and their aren’t any hidden fees she’s completely there for you!

I had a great experience with Stephanie not only did she do my makeup but she was able to do my hair for my bridal shower too. On my wedding day I had 3 extra family remembers who decided to get their makeup done, not only was it totally ok but she had plenty of time as well. I really enjoyed my makeup and the way everything went

I contacted Veiled Complexions to book for my VERY large wedding party 14+! I was worried when Stephanie said she and her assistant could do is all in our small time window 3 hours....well I was extremely wrong! Everything was beautiful and on time! They worked so diligently and even had time to do touch ups and help with hair! The makeup up was flawless and I can’t say enough about how on time they were!

From the start, Stephanie was a rockstar. Her communication and response time was perfect for a stressed bride and her accommodations were wonderful. I loved that she listened to my concerns about my skin and she gave me great recommendations about the fake lashes. As much as I always loved the way they looked in pictures I'm so happy she made me try them for the first time at the trial. I was so uncomfortable while wearing them and I'm so happy I wasn't forced to wear them on my wedding day!

Stephanie is a full licensed professional and my skin was amazing for my wedding thanks to her know how....plus I got a really good package deal worked great for me

Such a great experience- Stephanie always texts or calls you to discuss any questions you may have! I love that there were no travel minimums and no travel fees on top of beautiful makeup! Really your best deal! Don’t spend $300 per face just call this one ladies

I really wanted to make a note here and say that I really enjoyed working with this vendor I’m very picky and she listen to all of my requests and made me feel really special. She knows a lot about what make up should look like and she seems to know a lot about skin care which I really enjoyed because she kind of talked about what she was doing and why while I was getting my makeup done and it really help me know that what my decisions were right

Just wanted to mention what a great makeup studio this is! I had some issues with my Wedding and needed my vendors to not release photos because of my husbands job and Veiled was one of the only vendors who honored my request!

I was really really pleased and very surprised Stephanie did a great job I have really bad acne scars and active acne and I thought my skin would never look that flawless but somehow she did. I really don’t think I could’ve picked anyone better for my wedding day

Stephanie did makeup for my wedding and did an amazing job. We had 12 people total, she came to us and was able to do a wonderful job on all of us in a short period of time. Everyone was very happy with their look for the day!

A month ago, my husband and I had our dream wedding. Stephanie from Veiled Complexions did an excellent job with make-up for the Bride, MOB, MOG, and bridesmaids. I rate Veiled Complexions 5/5 because the communication, the planning, the professionalism, and the quality of the makeup exceeded my expectations. I looked perfect! After my sister booked her wedding makeup with Stephanie I knew I wanted to book mine as well! She's so sweet and realistic she walked me through all the pictures I pinned - I had no idea what I wanted or what looked good, actually I think I was trying to hard and Stephanie just helped me be myself. She designed a look for me that was just perfect nothing over the top, she knew lashes were my think instantly and she really worked to make them the focus. I was so happy to find Veiled Complexions and Stephanie! My makeup artist bailed on me 2 days before the big day! And I contacted Steph and even though she was on vacation she got back to me asap and fit my wedding in! My makeup was beautiful and we did the trail the day before the wedding day she really accommodated my needs!

My wedding day was perfect everything went fantastically and the one thing that I wanted most of all was my sisters tattoos covered up I know it sounds crazy bridezilla. When I hired Stephanie for myself I knew she was going to be a fantastic make up artist I cried the day she did my trial because I felt so beautiful, I had no idea when she told me she could cover tattoos what that really meant. I was having a traditional wedding with traditional minister and I wanted everything to be perfect and my sister has these tattoos on her back and I just didn't want them to show in pictures. Well Stephanie spent an amazing amount of time and effort to cover them and not only were they beautiful and made her skin looked normal and natural but also they lasted all night long sweat dancing it didn't matter her tattoo cover-up's were perfect. Now let me gush about me the bride I looked amazing my lashes my face my airbrushing everything looked amazing I was thrilled my lipstick lasted Stephanie used a lip stain she really really knows what last what is waterproof! If you're looking for bridal make up she's amazing if you're looking for a tattoo coverups she's amazing I really bet she can do anything

Stephanie came to our hotel the morning of the wedding she did my daughters make up my stepdaughter's make up my make up my mother's make up she really knows how to work with any bridal party of any type. She empowered my girls she talked about her experienceS she gave instruction while she did her work, my girls left with not only a beautiful face but tips on how to make their make up look the best. She treated my mom to an antiaging product at no extra cost, it truly was a great experience and as a bride sometimes it's just as important that everyone around you is just as happy as you are

Undoubtedly the best thing I did was hire a make up artist I have friends who said that they could do my make up and I trust them but trusting a professional is different and Stephanie prove that. Stephanie had training that taught her how to combat issues with my skin products that she used on my skin before the make up we're just as important as the make up itself. there are a lot of things I love about Stephanie and her business but one of the biggest things that struck me was when I had concerns she called me to talk them out when I had questions she answered them straight forward without a veiled agenda. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do a trial because I wasn't sure I wanted to have that cost but after speaking with Stephanie I knew that my wedding day would go much more smoothly if I took that time and she was right I wasn't sure if I wanted to do airbrush and after my trial I knew that airbrush was the way to go Stephanie works with you every step of the way to make sure that your look is just that it's yours and no one else's she made sure that I had no doubts in my head about what I wanted

What an outstanding job I can't even begin to put words to the way Stephanie made me feel on my wedding day. She rocks that room with nine bridesmaids and mothers and drama she made everything seem so easy, she made us laugh, she made us cry and she even made me feel like a goddess. I used Veiled Complexions for my wedding on 7/30 and I was absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out. My artist, Jessica Lane, was contracted through Stephanie and she was just as caring and detail-oriented as I could have ever hoped. And I loved that they were still willing to do makeup on location even though I only had two people in my bridal party - it's so hard to find folks willing to travel for less than five people. I will be recommending Stephanie to my friends for their future events!

Stephanie was such a delightful Pittsburgh business woman find on the Knot. Not only is she bubbly and easy to chat with, but she also did an amazing job on my make up for both my bridal shower and my wedding day. She was able to create the look I wanted effortlessly and was happy to make minor changes to suit my needs. She even went above and beyond and airbrushed my back for my completely open back dress to cover awful tan lines I had from carelessly being in the sun too close to the wedding. Even my husband, who prefers the natural look, loved my make up! I also treated my mom, sister, SIL and MIL to their makeup by Stephanie and they were thrilled with the results as well and she nailed the timing right on the money. She knew exactly how long she would need and was not rushed and didn’t hold us up from getting to the venue. She clearly has a passion for making her clients look and feel beautiful all the while keeping them at ease during the exciting/stressful moments before the wedding. Oh, and as a bonus her lovely assistant came up with my super clever wedding hashtag just hours before the wedding! I can’t say enough great things about her and hope to use her again in the future!

Stephanie from Veiled Complexions was absolutely wonderful! She took the time to make sure all of my bridesmaids makeup and myself was perfect. The airbrush makeup lasted all night long! I have never met a less professional and polite individual in my life. Stephanie was an hour and a half late to the location and rushed to complete my bridal makeup, in addition to 5 of my bridesmaids'. I called her multiple times on the day of, after she was already a half-hour late, and she neglected to answer my call. When she finally returned my call, she claimed to be '10 minutes away.' It was at least another 45 minutes before she showed. Once she arrived, she was incredibly rude to my family and bridal party. My MOH (my sister) had planned on doing her own makeup for the big day. When Stephanie began my makeup, I said I really liked the way my sister had done her own. Stephanie's response? A snort and "Do you want my honest opinion?" My sister was standing right there. To make matters worse, when I looked in the mirror after Stephanie had 'completed' my makeup, I looked like a clown. The contouring was not blended in the least. I looked at my youngest sister (who is actually really talented when it comes to doing makeup), and she had to stifle a laugh when she looked at me. Not the reaction you're looking for hours before you're to walk down the aisle and feel the prettiest you ever have. I am so grateful that my sister was able to correct my makeup (and my bridesmaids') and make it look more seamless and classic. It is one thing if the vendor was 1.5 hours late and was perfectly polite upon arrival (and did a good job). But she made us 30 minutes late to my wedding, when we were already crunched for time to capture all of the photos before the ceremony, and my sister had to correct all of our faces after we sat in Stephanie's chair for a rushed 15 minutes. I am incredibly disappointed in this service and 100% regret not doing more research to find a professional and talented makeup artist.

Stephanie is one of the most amazing people I have met in Pittsburgh! She is not only a one of a kind makeup artist who did my Wedding and my Boudoir shoot makeup (so she easily does many different styles) she is also a really sweet and fun person to have there when you are getting ready. She always made me feel listened to and understood when explaining what I wanted. She will truly be my makeup artist for life!

Stephanie did my makeup for my wedding. She was really wonderful to work with and I can't recommend her enough. She did a beautiful job and was really able to create the look I wanted. She spent a lot of time working with me before my wedding so I could feel happy and confident. She uses really high quality products and is very hygienic. Stephanie did a makeup trial for my Bridal shower and then did my wedding makeup. She was friendly, professional, and flexible. She did an excellent job on my makeup and asked questions so that it was exactly what I wanted. On the day of the wedding,Stephanie was very accommodating, she came to our hotel room and she even did makeup for the ladies that decided they wanted it last minute. She did makeup for the wedding party as well as my mother in law and did a spectacular job staying true to what each woman wanted and the unique styles that made each woman feel beautiful.
