Velvet Blooms did a beautiful job! Rachel was able to execute our theme perfectly and capture all the colors so elegantly. I would advise to read your contract carefully because there is a clause that explains if you would like to keep your flowers that are being held in the rented vases you need to put that in writing and hand to her. For a bride that is overwhelmed with all wedding related planning, I was disappointed that this clause was not brought to my attention throughout the flower planning process. Otherwise sadly, you are renting your flowers for the event.

Rachel was incredible to work with. Fantastic communicator, easy to work with and gave me exactly what I wanted. My flower crown, my daughters flower crown and my bouquet were everything I had ever dreamed of.

Rachel was the one of the most accommodating, and easy to work with vendors of the entire wedding. We originally booked Velvet Blooms for our June 2020 wedding, and when we had to postpone she made the process simple and was so understanding. We decide to have a small wedding this year with a big reception in 2022, and she revised our contracts to make both happen, and we are so glad she did. The florals for our wedding this year were breathtaking. The arch we got married under was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen and she completely captured my vision for everything. I am SO excited to get to work with her next year because I know that it will be just as stunning as it was this year. I would recommend Rachel 10 times out of 10. Her and her team are truly artists and make magic out of buckets of flowers.

Rachel was the easiest, sweetest, most helpful vendor I worked with during the entire wedding planning process. Not only did she make the initial phone consultation so fun, but she took the time to help me understand how to pick wedding decor/what my own vision was. Talking to her helped me figure out what I wanted and didn’t want, and her vision board that she created after our conversation really became a staple tool I used to plan the rest of the decor for the day! She was so patient with my incessant emails and questions, and never made me feel like a crazy bride—though I’m sure I was! Finally, the finished product was absolutely breathtaking. I still get complements on my bouquet, with so many guests saying it was the most beautiful bridal bouquet they have ever seen! Rachel and her team are true artists and make this process as easy and fun as possible. I highly recommend Velvet Blooms!

There are not enough words of gratitude for Rachel and her incredible work. Looking at our photos and video I am blown away with how absolutely beautiful our wedding florals were. B-E-A-utiful! Rachel did the flowers for our wedding in November, and she did an absolutely stunning job. I found her on Instagram initially, and could tell right away she could create the colorful, bohemian aesthetic I was looking for. Rachel was awesome to collaborate with. She ran with my vision from Pinterest and was able to match it perfectly, and gave wonderful suggestions on the presentation of our flower arch and sweetheart table. I would absolutely recommend Velvet Blooms to anyone looking for a kind and talented floral designer.

I am still obsessed with our flowers from our wedding!! Rachel was great to work with, I was kind of all over the place when it came to flowers and she tied all of the vision together perfectly. I love flowers so they were an important detail to me and she nailed it!! We heard from all our guests just how beautiful and magical everything was. We are so grateful for her work and detail, I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Rachel was the florist at a wedding I photographed this November. SHE IS FREAKIN' AMAZING!!! It was crazy windy outside and the couple had a beautiful floral decorated arch. Rachel locked it down and secured it without compromising it's beauty! As a photographer, I can only hope to work with florists that are kind, talented, and quick thinking when it comes to problem solving. I want to start off by saying HOW SWEET and NICE and AMAZING Rachel was!!! The whole wedding process can be kind of insane, so to work with nice people was just such a gift in itself!! But the main thing- the flowers were INSANE!!! So so so incredible. Honestly I couldn't have even imagined what she did. We kind of gave them a general direction and a mood board, and she really just went above and beyond. I wish I could attach a photo- when I first saw the bouquets I cried! I didn't even realize they were for me, because they just seemed too beautiful. She also designed this insanely gorgeous back wall vine-piece for our reception which set the vibe and made the room come alive!! Our planner messed up and gave the wrong person a boutonniere so my dad was left without one- Rachel made one on the fly for us for my dad, so that he didn't even notice!! Our floral budget was pretty slim compared to what some people spend on flowers, and they really helped us find the best route to go so that our wedding looked lush and magical despite that. While we were working together before the wedding, Rachel was always available by email, text, etc, and was so so so so helpful with everything. She even offered to come pick up our vases half way so we didn't have to drive to her (she lives an hour and a half away from us.) Our actual wedding was in Palm Springs, and somehow she got all of the florals there without anything looking sad or wilted. It was absolute perfection. All of it. Honestly I don't have one single complaint about them!! There is no room for improvement at all. The wedding looked unbelievable, the bouquets/arch decorations/literally everything floral was BANANAS, and I also want to hang out with Rachel now too because she was so cool!!! I realllllly could not recommend Velvet Blooms enough. Best best best best best EVER!!!!

I'm a cosmetic dentist, so I pay a lot of attention to details. Rachel really impressed me. She was very respectful of my time and drove to Santa Barbara to review design and the venue with me in person. Her command of colors and textures exceeded my highest expectations. It's not a competition, but I had to the most beautiful florals of any wedding that I've ever been to. Thank you Rachel!

Rachel has incredible talent and a great personality! We picked a very rustic location (Cold Spring Tavern in Santa Barbara) and Rachel transformed the place into the most elegant outdoor space. Our guests raved about her flower arch and the unique use of color and texture that tied our design together. Our wedding presented several unique challenges, and she never pushed back or complained. We added several tables last minute, and she was very prompt updating our account and design. Our venue was very small, so she had to turn over the ceremony area into dining area during our cocktail hour. She crushed it! It was an amazing wedding and we can't imagine what it would be like without her.

Absolutely loved working with Velvet Blooms for our destination wedding in the Sonoma Valley! We provided Rachel with an inspiration board and our vision was flawlessly executed beyond our expectations! Working with Rachel of Velvet Blooms was one of our best wedding-related decisions and we recommend her very highly! My late mother was an avid gardener and the flowers for our wedding were our way of incorporating her presence into the day. Rachel was incredibly respectful of this and created beautiful planter boxes filled with flowers my mom grew in her garden that were put at the end of the aisle. She also put a single iris, my mom's favorite flower, into my wedding bouquet, which was such a beautiful touch. The flowers she incorporated into the pergola made for the most gorgeous backdrop for our ceremony. We got dozens of compliments on our flowers from guests and we were incredibly happy with how they turned out. Rachel was amazing to work with. I had very little idea of what kind of flowers I wanted for my wedding day and she was able to take my lack of vision and create the most beautiful day. From the bouquet to the floral arrangements everything was perfect. Rachel was always responsive and so easy to work with. Rachel did such an AMAZING job, her work was the visual highlight of our wedding. I came to her a year in advance with a very specific idea and little to no knowledge of florals. She walked me through each step and graciously revised my order roughly 1000 times all the way up until 3 weeks before the wedding. Rachel is EXTREMELY talented as well as very kind and patient. Rachel is AMAZING. She is talented, friendly and so accommodating. I started off with a budget, but soon realized that to achieve my vision I would need to make changes. Rachel had already drafted an I copied but worked with me and and sent another one, over the planning process we went thought about 5 invoices lol. She was always so polite. Not only was she polite she was willing and excited to help me make the adjustments I needed so that the flowers were everything I wanted. I never felt like I was annoying or inconveniencing her when I would contact her about a question. The day of the wedding I was blown away by how perfect everything looked - and so were my guests! My bouquet was STUNNING. my centerpieces were breathtaking. I really can’t say enough good things about her. I got so lucky and if you’re thinking about who to hire I would absolutely recommend velvet blooms!

Rachel is phenomenal to work with in making all of your floral and decor dreams come true. She was able to look at our ideas and turn them into an even better reality. She was also budget-conscious and so fun to work with on making our wedding happen. Rachel was key to us even having our wedding after our original venue pulled out with less than 36 hours to find a new location (due to wildfires). She is so thoughtful and kind and you will love working with her. Our bridal party also loved working with her and the bouquets and decor that she created was beyond perfect. I would hire her again and again to let her creative juices flow.

Rachel did an AMAZING job. I gave some direction and showed a few pictures of what I like/don’t like (but not much). Just trusted her and didn’t see a mock up. Rachel was amazing! I didn't have a very clear picture of what I wanted but Rachel patiently worked with me, designing the most beautiful floral arrangements. She responded to emails quickly, and always had a very positive tone. We wanted to waste as little as possible, so Rachel had the great idea to pot a bunch of succulents and cacti, allowing our guests to take them home at the end of the night. Everyone loved picking them out, and they made our venue even more beautiful than it already was. Her arrangements were beautiful, and she was a total pleasure to work with. Thank you Rachel!!

Rachel does the most beautiful work! Her eye for design is impeccable! She created my gorgeous bridal bouquet, all my bridesmaids bouquets, all our corsages and boutonnières as well as three flower crowns, and a flower collar for my pup! She also made two arrangements for the aisle as well as a small arrangement for another table, all for a completely fair price. I’m so sad flowers don’t last forever, because if they did I’d have kept them all to display all over my house. Wonderful work!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Rachel! Not only is she a wonderful florist but she really cares about the clients vision. I have worked with her several times.. a wedding, a graduation party, a styled shoot, and a bridal show. No matter how big or small the event she put her all into the florals. We ordered crown, bouquet and boutonniere for our big day. As big fans of succulents, we made a special request to have them made with both flowers and succulents. I was a little worried about how they will come out as it's not too common to make them with succulents, but we were so amazed with joy when they were delivered to us on the day of. Everything was so beautifully put together and was perfect. Rachel from Velvet Blooms is such a sweet lady, she was very patient and understanding with my very detailed order, and she went over and beyond to make my dream bouquet and crown. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends who are looking for flowers for their special day.

Rachel is not only an amazing person (I seriously miss working with her) but she is also a phenomenal artist. My planner recommended her after the last florist I met with gave me a quote of $4,000 (which I could not afford since I was on a tight budget) Rachel worked well within my budget and offered me probably 5 different price quotes since things kept changing... best part, I didn't drive her crazy even when I was bridezilla. It has been 2 months since my wedding and people are STILL talking about my bouquet. It is such an amazing experience to work with someone who actually truly loves the thing that they do. I cannot recommend her enough, especially for brides who don't truly understand flowers (I literally just gave her a color scheme)

I helped coordinate a bridal bouquet for my close close friends' wedding this past September in Santa Barbara! I was so happy to find Rachel and Velvet Blooms. Rachel was super helpful and understanding as we tried to design the perfect bouquet for my friend Alina! She definitely listened to what I wanted for the bride and stepped in with her knowledge and expertise when appropriate! She delivered the bouquet herself and was so lovely in person too. The style of the bouquet was a surprise for the bride, Alina and she LOVED it! The absolutely stunning bouquet fit perfectly with her, her dress and the vibe of the whole wedding. Plus Steve also LOVED his boutonniere, which was such a nice matching touch! Everyone commented on how gorgeous the bouquet was and it came out beautifully in photos! Thanks again Rachel!

Rachel was absolutely amazing to work with! I initially came to her thinking that I would do my own flowers for our intimate 25 person wedding.
