Velvet City Sound is a wedding band based out of Birmingham, AL. If you're looking for the right band to trust for your big day, you've arrived! There's a lot of responsibility for a wedding band aside from just playing some songs, hoping people dance and enjoy themselves. What if the band won't play our requests? What if they are not good at MCing? What if they take forever to respond to our emails? We are Velvet City Sound, and we built our group to be your wedding music entertainment solution! We offer all-inclusive music packages and a la carte band packages. Regardless of what size band or package you book, you are guaranteed peace of mind knowing your wedding music is in the hands of top professionals dedicated to bringing your vision to life! When you book us, you'll receive instant access to our music planning questionnaire to start planning music selections for the big day and so much more. Did we mention our song list has over 1000+ song? Yep, the best and most diverse song list in the industry :) We will be available throughout the entire planning process. Before the wedding, you will be in direct contact with your day-of band leader. Come the day of the wedding, your band is thoroughly rehearsed and ready to rock, your band leader is working closely with your wedding coordinator in MCing all of the festivities and formalities throughout the evening, your favorite songs will be played, your family and friends will have the time of their lives, and thus, you'll have the wedding you always wanted! and everyone wanted to dance all night long! They were easy to work with and very flexible on your wants and needs. I wanted my cousin (he is a musician and only 17) to play with them during the ceremony and they worked directly with him and turned my vision into reality. They let you decide how involved you want to be with creating the playlists and songs to sing. I HIGHLY recommend them and will definitely use them in the future if we have anything that requires a band or even a small event (like a shower or bday party). They play and sing better than the bands out there who charge you double. VCS pricing is very reasonable, even with travel. They are professional and fun and just genuinely good people. If you are deciding between bands, go ahead and sign with them. You will NOT be disappointed.

They said they would learn a few new songs that weren’t part of their massive list of songs, and they went above and beyond by learning several new songs that we requested specially. I never left the dance floor at my wedding. I requested mostly classic rock songs but the variety of songs they can do is extraordinary. I highly recommend VCS!

Nick and the rest of Velvet City Sound were so easy to work with! Always quick to respond to emails or phone calls, always willing to accomodate the bride's wishes to the very best of their ability, and just all around great folks to work with...

As a wedding coordinator, I know that keeping people on the dance floor isn't always easy, but they got it done - even as they were competing with a local college football game that was on in the bar...so that is saying something! :-) I think the best thing I can say is that I would recommend them to other brides. Great people and great music!!

ink it was Mr. Brightside and Fall Out Boy that really did it for me, which they ended our night with! Nick, the manager is so easy to work with throughout, and Mike, the lead singer was so easy going with us brides, but brought the energy the whole time! We had so many guests come up to us and say how awesome the band was, that it was the best band they’ve heard at a wedding, etc! They communicate well, will let you customize and learn songs for you, show up early to set up, work hard to make sure nothing goes wrong, and sound awesome!! Everything you want in a wedding band!!! This is the third review Im writing for this band and I will try my best not to go too crazy like in the other two (check them out on google and on wedding wire for those reviews). I have to agree whole heartedly with one of the reviews on here...

I just glanced at..literally the second we got off the phone with Nick we knew we made the right choice. And we expected them to be good based off how professional, experienced, and friendly they were, but damn. We didn't know they would be utterly amazing. From the first song to the very last one, absolutely killed it. They are so talented I mean its actually crazy that we could afford them no kidding. The only bad part was was that it had to end. I could hav stayed on that dance floor listening to them for 10 hours straight. Hire them. Don't think on it anymore, ask for the sax, and hire them. You're welcome.

Hi, I'm Nick Bryant! I have played guitar and sang professionally for nearly 8 years and have also earned an MBA. I got started in the wedding business when the owner of a well-known wedding band in Atlanta scouted me out. He hired me and I quickly became the #1 front man for over 100+ weddings as well as taking on marketing/strategy responsibilities. I've taken all the experience on and off-stage to form a team that I am confident will exceed every expectation you may have for a "Wedding Band!" From booking to the send-off and all points in-between, expect nothing less than the best from VCS!
